"The restaurant is very nicely decorated but the food and service do not match to that experience. We were sat so close to other people on other tables it was like were dining with them. We attended pre concert and chose the concert menu. The appetisers came within minutes of ordering, there wasn't a lot for the price. The mains we had to wait over 45 minutes for which was not good and we kept being told it was on the way. The food when it came was average curry really. It had obviously been cooked in a huge batch as it was on the set menu so not sure why it took so long. The service was not great...we were never asked if the food was ok or if we wanted another drink. We only had Coke and this was rather expensive at £3 for a tiny bottle.... Overall i think the place is very nice but the food was average at best and the service poor. The set menu was £25 per person which was not value for what you actually got. We saw a 10% service charge on our bill which we asked to be removed. Tried it, but wouldn't go back again."

"Oh my goodness! I don't even know where to begin with this place.. without a doubt, Bangla Kitchen has the worst takeaway food I have ever had and the customer service we experienced this evening was so terrible, it almost seemed like a joke. First of all, the food was so greasy that it was literally dripping out of the foil wraps. Secondly, when we checked our order, we realized that it was incorrect and parts of it were missing. And the parts that were correct were just awful - the meat was dry, there was a butter wrapper left inside the naan bread, and the tikka masala tasted completely different than usual, almost like something from a jar. When we contacted the restaurant to complain, we were met with a yelling, angry man on the phone who offered no apology and continued to shout at us. I was speechless. In conclusion, if you're looking for delicious Indian food with great customer service, definitely steer clear of Bangla Kitchen. I will never order from there again and would advise others to do the same."

"Great take away for Indian food. We tried the Saag Paneer Muttar and the garam masala. We also ordered the special rice and chicken fried rice. It was great! Definitely my go to Indian take out in Aberdeen! To our surprise, we ordered pizza and it was amazing!!! We could not believe how tasty it was! Of course it's not authentic pizza but it's an Indian pizza. The bread tasted like naan and it's amazing! There were so many dishes to choose from and it took us quite awhile to decide which one we wanted to order. We waited quite long for the order but definitely worth the wait."

"Edit Oct 2020: customer service and food quality have taken a dive off a cliff. In 2 orders, I was served rock hard frozen cakes, the wrong cake, the wrong pizza toppings, sauce on a burger that wasn’t asked for and staff ignoring my in person request to not put peppers on my food. Go to Veggie Lounge around the corner. It’s superior in every aspect. Original review below. Veggie Supreme have a good thing going and they know it. There are a few pizza places nearby, all of them really good to be honest but there are a couple of things offered here you won’t find at those other places including.... Jerk chicken. Vegan mock meat pizza toppings are usually limited to pepperoni, chicken (tikka or otherwise), sausage and ham in my experience. Jerk chicken has a really nice zing to it and livens up the pizza in a different way to the usual offerings. It tastes really good and you need to try it out if you’re a pizza lover. Stuffed crust for vegans. This is a bit of a holy grail as it’s usually the 1 thing missing when you go out for vegan pizza but here it is in all its cheesy glory. Couple these with a HUGE menu, including lots of desserts both hot and cold and this adds up to a great eating experience. So why not 5* just personal preference as I prefer my pizza to have a slightly thinner thin crust than you get here but make no mistake, this is some fantastic pizza that you should try out if you’re in the area."

"I was very disappointed with my meal. The Veg Sharing Platter, which the manager recommended, was not impressive. The lamb and seekh kebab were served cold, and the other items were merely lukewarm. Overall, it wasn't great. The service, however, was exceptional; our waiter was fantastic. Unfortunately, I won't be returning, as this place seems to be overrated. Additionally, we were charged for mogo chips that were never delivered, and now we have to wait for a refund."

"Had been looking forward to trying this place as had heard great reviews but unfortunately very disappointed. Ordered chilli garlic Prawns which did not contain peppers as described and the sauce tasted like chilli ketchup. Squid starter was the most disappointing, the batter was coming off the squid resulting in a congealed sauce which was thick anyway.. Shame about texture as sauce was flavoursome. . The butter chicken was lovely but quite spicy which is surprising as this dish is usually mild, unfortunately no indication of spice level on website otherwise would have asked for spice to be reduced. Placed order over the phone but now wished I placed it on website as they didn't apply correct meal deal, when asked I was advised the butter chicken was not classic curry and therefore not included in deal. Only checked when I returned home and this was one of the dish choices on website for the meal deals. This resulted in over charging me which is bit dishonest."

"We went there for Sunday brunch to catch up with friends. I must give the place full marks for ambience and live jazz music. Setting is very pretty a mixture of modern western and Indian grandeur. Coming to food itself, drinks menu is very creative especially the way coconut water (currently very trendy) is exploited in various drinks. "Used to be good, this time around we were served raw chicken and when I told them they proceeded to argue that the expert the chef said it was not. I pointed out the blood and pink bits of chicken but was no use as the expert didn’t agree. "Have eaten here befiore and it has been much better. Food was OK but one of the dishes was very bland. We had booked in advance at 8pm. It was a busy Saturday night and the service was somewhat strange all night starting with the waiter bringing a single starter. We asked if the others were coming and he rather abruptly said yes. The others then followed a bit strange but ok. The worst was when at 9:10 we were asked if we would leave the table. We still had half of our drinks left and had only just finished eating, 70 minutes after the booking time hardly an age? I feel they were being gready and putting profit before serving the customers already in the restaurant. Maybe the new restaurant was a step too far and they are struggling for staff but I really felt there had to be a manager there with the correct attitude. They all seemed a bit undertrained and all over the place to be honest which is not great as it is not cheap. Won't be going back for a while at least."

"Received a delivery last night, the first time I’ve used this restaurant. I’m afraid to say it’s not for me. We had a lamb tikka masala, chilli chicken masala, both violent red colour, with pilau rice, mushroom fried rice and a portion of chips. The food wasn’t bad and the portions were fine and my wife said hers was “ok”. Mine was “ok” too, however I would expect a chilli chicken to have a certain strength, which is why I ask for chillies! Extremely mild with it seemed a background taste of coconut, an ingredient I wouldn’t put int a masala sauce. I did find 3 small chillies in the meal. Pilau rice appeared to be boiled rice with some colouring, no cassia, cloves or cardamom flavours at all. Oh, the chips were tough and seemed old. Ordered via the website, countdown timer showing delivery time. Pointless, doesn’t track the order. Lastly, there was a service charge of 50p as well as delivery charge. I paid cash! If they’re charging for credit/debit card charges, this is illegal."

"As someone who has been a cook for many years and a lover of Indian cuisine, I recently visited this restaurant for the first time on my birthday. I must say that I was extremely impressed and even a bit frustrated that I only have one stomach, as the food was truly magical and delicious. "Googled closest Indian restaurant to Manchester Airport as were were picking relatives up. The Cinnamon Tree came out nearest. Booked a table online. Was very pleased with the food which was lovely. Good sized portions. Thought it was quite expensive though compared to our local Indian restaurant which is in a nicer setting and has nicer decor. The Cinnamon Tree would benefit from an update particularly the upstairs toiled facilities. Nice friendly Staff however and would go again if the occasion arose."

"Great menu! Very refreshing and different to the usual North Indian cuisine majority of the British Indian restaurants offer. Definitely try their Indian Chinese starters like chilli chicken, salt pepper prawns, veg manchurian and their cocktails! Natak’s menu beats Dishoom for us ; They have a new and excited team of waiters waitresses who take your eating plates away in a rush so a bit of service awareness missing but otherwise they’re all friendly prompt. Cannot wait to return to try their diverse brunch menu which has dosas etc."

"Although the food was nice, the experience was not! The manager was rude and did not make us feel welcome. Rushed us to order saying we had limited time at the table as it was booked for another group in 90 minutes. Then the food took forever to arrive. Waiting for the bill and for a waiter to come and take our payment felt like an eternity! We left 45 minutes after the time the manager said the next booking was due to arrive, they never came because there was no other booking! One waiter opened the door for us when we left and said thank you. That was the most polite any of the staff had been all evening. Very disappointing and no wonder the staff are miserable with a manager like that! We were looking for a place for the 8 of us to meet up regularly, it won't be at Vakas! Will never go there for a meal again!"

"This restaurant seemed perfect for our group of 6 friends with a round table. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, although we were allowed to order too much. However, we found the prices for pappadams and naan to be excessive. The food was served in large containers with lids, which made it difficult to fit everything on the table. The bill came to £60 per person, including 3 reasonably priced bottles of wine and some beers. Considering the price, we expected the service to be more refined, but it fell short of our expectations."
