A delightful sandwich filled with creamy tuna salad, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomatoes, served on freshly baked bread.

"I've used Rose Bud Café several times since my last visit and must say that the food is CONSISTENTLY EXCELLENT from here matched only by the top-notch service. I always opt for the Mega-breakfast and it's always beautifully cooked and delivered piping hot. I can...therefore unhesitatingly recommend this excellent café and its excellent staff: thanks again. :"

"I found myself in the chef and manager a few times and I wonder why I can't say I'm eating here all the time. it is easy to be seduced by the larger restaurants in the region that shouted for their attention, but I find this dining shop to have a warm and ambiente most lacking, and this is certainly created by veronika and the personal and their quiet, inviting arrangement. the always lovely chef of cuisine almost always turns out his head with real smiles and nods and you just don't get that very often. Relaxing and simply enjoy sitting, eating is always tasteful, the menus well thought out and creatiw and the presentation deliciously inviting. ideal for business, family or intimate meals, I recommend that you make the effort or travel and sink into a beautiful culinary experience."

"visited the crucibles on Mother's Day with my parents, men and teens. the service was friendly and fast. we had all lunches and it was delicious. the portions were generous and everything on the plate was on the square. Although we were all filled, we all made a pudding that was also beautiful. it was also a good value for money and dog friendly. would definitely recommend."

"Visited here for the 3 mornings we were staying at The Premier Inn on Alfred St, as it is next door. Had read previous reviews, and we were certainly not disappointed. Firstly the food is absolutely amazing everything we had was delicious. We had sandwiches, salads and drinks. All freshly prepared and so tasty!! Our teenage boys said the Tuna sandwiches they had, were the best they had EVER had. Secondly the staff and customer service is second to none. Nothing is to much trouble and they are a lovely friendly bunch of people. Worth every penny, so avoid The premier inn breakfast and get yourself in here."

"in any case, it is worth a try, although limited seating for 10 people on 4 tables, but do not stop them trying. fresh sandwiches, hunting and hot cold drinks. one of the only places in the city that envelop kartoffels. easy access for wheelchairs and buggys. very friendly staff only in the high street. in any case recommend. Please, if that helps."

"My dining experience at the restaurant was overall mediocre. We ordered a lentil with tomato soup, a roll, and a slice of Pink Velvet Cake. The soup was tasty, but the café itself was just average. Unfortunately, they were out of several menu items due to the large crowds. They had both indoor and outdoor seating options available. Despite having enough staff based on the size of the restaurant, they seemed overwhelmed. It took about 25 minutes for us to receive our soup, so I ended up going to the counter to pick up our order instead of waiting for the server to bring it to our table."

"We visited today, Sunday 29th October. Ordered two bacon and sausage barms and two pulled beef ciabattas and asked the waiter specifically for one without cheese the waiter later confirmed that we had indeed specified this) When our meal came both ciabattas had a considerable amount of cheese on them so we politely and quietly asked for one to be replaced with one without cheese. From nowhere came the chef/owner shouting and ranting about not changing the menu for ANYBODY. We were absolutely stunned and extremely embarrassed as the cafe was almost full of equally amazed customers. All four of us left our food and went to pay the £55 bill in the shop, whilst in the process of actually paying the bill were harrassed again by the chef who threatened us with the police if we didn’t pay! We have been fairly regular customers here for quite a few years and have recommended it to many friends and were thrilled to find it reopened today. BIG MISTAKE HUGE! This man seriously needs an Anger Management course. Goodness knows what would happen if you asked for a vegetarian or vegan option or had a serious food allergy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

"I'd heard great things about this coffee shop so persuaded my friend to give it a try for our lunch. It was full and there were people waiting outside when we arrived. Rather than it putting us off and try elsewhere we thought if it's that good then we'll go back in an hour. So glad we did, we had a great welcome, a lovely big mug of coffee, the best toasties ever tasted with homemade coleslaw and salad, chips and a massive slice of homemade cake (had to bring it home, as full). The decor and friendly staff added to our very enjoyable visit and we will certainly visit again. Highly recommend and fully support independent businesses that care about you and their staff"

"The restaurant is set in a beautiful location and the building itself is lovely. However, we were extremely disappointed with our lunch yesterday. We decided to grab a sandwich to go for a quick lunchtime walk, only to find that it cost £9! The sandwich seemed to be made with pre-made filling and supermarket bread that we could easily find at home. Despite the restaurant being quiet and having plenty of staff, it took about 15 minutes to prepare. We try to support local businesses whenever possible, but in this case, we felt like we were being ripped off. The high prices may make this restaurant unaffordable for many people and families."

"It’s early October and I turned up at so I was safe from some of the issues described in previous reviews.Being quite hungry, I bypassed the tea scones option for the Beef Gravy Bap with chips. It was just okay: the beef was rather tasteless, but at least it was tender, and the gravy tasted like it was made from granules rather than the real thing. The chips were alright too, a better quality cook from frozen product. The bap was nondescript, not giving the impression that it had seen a local bakery. However, at it was fairly priced for a popular Yorkshire market town.I had the Colombian coffee served in a metal carafe, which could have used one more spoonful of ground beans, but it would be harsh to downgrade a review on that basis. The servers were loud but friendly, with no trace of the attitude issues mentioned before. I could see, however, how that might change when under pressure.Unfortunately, I noticed the large, fresh scones cake being served to a neighbouring table all too late. They looked absolutely wonderful and most likely substantial enough to have accommodated my hunger. Of course I didn’t taste them, but if you can go by looks alone, they certainly delivered. Next time!"

"Still apprehensive about dining out, however on a day when kitchen inaccessible we decided on a takeaway. Having visited in the past ordered from here, we had a ciabatta choice plus a regular tuna salad sandwich. Fifteen minutes after ordering we parked at the rear of business phoned the lovely Karen and she brought the bagged order to us. The surprise was included in the deal is a hot tea or coffee or cold drink plus my favourite Walkers plain crisps. Call me fussy I don't care much for flavoured crisps. We took our lunch to the park where I provided napkins and a clean cloth for the bench. Don't hesitate to try it's worth the extra money to support local businesses. I also hear you can dinein and take advantage of the Monday to Wednesday government scheme. New name but still same owners as before."

"This takeaway cafe serves delicious, fresh food at a good price. The salads and rolls are excellent and filling and the fruit pots are amazing. Filled to the brim with fresh and exotic fruit. I have no idea where it comes from but as well as berries, grapes, melon, oranges and apples you will always get some exotic fruit. We have had , passion fruit, kumquat, kiwi, mango, pomegranate seeds at different times When you visit make sure you have the orange trifle too……it’s the best I have ever had, apart from my gran’s of course! We live 25 mins away from Dunbar, we wish we lived nearer beaus of the Food Hamper!"
