"The restaurant is set in a beautiful location and the building itself is lovely. However, we were extremely disappointed with our lunch yesterday. We decided to grab a sandwich to go for a quick lunchtime walk, only to find that it cost £9! The sandwich seemed to be made with pre-made filling and supermarket bread that we could easily find at home. Despite the restaurant being quiet and having plenty of staff, it took about 15 minutes to prepare. We try to support local businesses whenever possible, but in this case, we felt like we were being ripped off. The high prices may make this restaurant unaffordable for many people and families."

Great location and service. Convenient car parking nearby. Lovely surroundings. My wife and I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be visiting again.

The setting by the river is great, but the food is very ordinary, arrives in cardboard box, and is very overpriced. In addition the service we had was both slow and surly. We will not be visiting again.

Popped in for a couple of cream teas, but were very disappointed. Scones were stale, tea coffee in cardboard cups, wooden cutlery ... all for £9 each. Not impressed at all!! Shame, as they have a lovely spot on the river. View menu

What a delightful riverside cafe. Possibly the best Tuna salad sandwich I have ever had. The people were lovely too. Unusual flavours of ice cream too. Jelly and ice cream. Yum. I recommend paying it a visit. We loved it.

A perfect location on the Thames near the town bridge. Plenty of people watching whilst eating, small canoes, boats and the odd luxury boat cruising by. My Jacket potato with ham and cheese with a good salad were excellent

A lovely spot and I have visited quite often but I have decided not to give it my custom any more because of the low standard of service. I think we should expect to drink tea from cups and saucers with a proper teapot instead of the cardboard cups which Annie's is now using. I was in another tearoom recently which served tea in the traditional way with cups and saucers and teapots together with a refill pot of hot water. It was a different experience. View menu

I sat outside, right next to the river, under plenty of beautiful sunshades. The coffee, cakes, and light lunches were lovely. It may be a bit on the expensive side, but worth it for the quality and portion size. The jacket potatoes were enormous, accompanied by a generous salad. The sandwiches were made with thick, soft bread and were very filling, also served with salad. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nearby car park, but you have to pay after one hour.

Shockingly bad. Service was awful. We got there and stood at the counter whilst the ignorant teenage girls stood chatting to each other. Rude. Then the food arrived. The bacon and sausage were not cooked. The bacon was just fat eith a tiny slither of meat on it. The toast was cold and stale. The menu said it came with mushrooms but it just came with one small mushroom. And one tomato cut in half. For £14.50 I am absolutley appalled. The chef should be fired and sent home. You'd get a better breakfast in Wetherspoons with better service.
