"Once we entered we was greeted and showed to a table very quickly by a very polite lady, she asked us if we wanted drinks and brang them promptly, she maintained serving us whenever we needed and was very polite and caring to our needs, the starters (scampi for me prawns for the mrs) were fastly served with bread and butter which was a great addition to the meal, my starter was very tasty, the main was very nice but hampered by our inexperience to pick the correct steak as the tbone was mainly bone of course lol it was cooked well and the fries were nice too, all in all very impressed got abit noisey with a group that came in because it's a small restaurant felt very involved with their activities, Bill was fair and food was decent would try again. Thank you."

"we were at sophias by chance, because we didn't book and just came by. they were so courteous and found us a table. there were live guitar playing and the atmosphere was great. eating was really good and delicious and the staff was excellent. I wish more restaurants take care of their customers like this place update. May 2022. I noticed that the above-mentioned review had not yet been published and was still in the form of draft. at least yesterday we went back to sophias and again the service and eating was excellent. no music this time, but the atmosphere was great as we are the personal. can highly recommend the calezone pizza. thanks sophias."

"We had never been to this Restaurant before but our friends highly recommended it, so we booked with them to go and were amazed at the Friendly atmosphere there was in there, the staff treat you as old friends, are very chatty and give you...any advice on the dishes that they serve, which if i may say are Delicious. There is a lovely Ambiance in the place that makes you feel so welcome, nothing is too much trouble, we went for a second time on our 45th Wedding Anniversary and had a Fabulous time, so good in fact that we have booked again for my Birthday on the 23rd December when they are having an Elvis Tribute! we are all looking forward to this."

"Visited on recommendation from friends and family. Restaurant is downstairs and was buzzing with happy chatty people. Lovely waiter helped us pick our dishes and service was great. Food tasted amazing and from comments we heard around us most people thought the same. One gripe though, and it was a big gripe. When we were brought our bill, the plate had small sweets on it as is the norm. Whilst chatting away, I popped the sweet into my mouth and was shocked that it was a chocolate covered peanut. "Visited today for lunch with family. I couldn't fault anything, the new decor is bright and modern making the space seem larger. The food was excellent, everyone loved the dishes they'd chosen . The staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. My mum had a glass of red wine which she's still talking about! My only suggestion would be a set lunch price but that certainly won't stop me returning. We'll definitely be back."

"Love this place. Been here a few times with the most recent being a lunch on Sunday August. Party of seated in a booth in the main bar area next to the entrance. we had the Anitpasti Banco, olives and Bread Oil...to share as a starter. I ordered the Carbonara Romano which was absolutely delicious (I am extremely picky with carbonara). The other guests had Chicken Milanese and Veal Marsala with side dishes each. Very well presented and piping hot. Good atmosphere and great service. Large portion sizes too I din't eat again until Monday lunchtime!! I look forward to my next visit."

"Da Mario (next door) was packed, this place was empty, and there is a good reason for that. I ordered the funghi trifoliati (sautéed mushrooms) and instead got a plate of mushrooms swimming in MSG or something similar. I set it aside. You don 't want this? asked the waiter? He shrugged and took it away. My main course was a pizza capricciosa which really tasted of nothing at all. Just a soggy pizza base. I thought about this afterwards I think they just forgot to add any garlic, herbs, salt pepper, seasoning of any kind. Whatever. I set it aside and asked for the bill. It must be quite usual for diners to refuse both courses as the waiter didn 't even bother to ask why I hadn 't eaten it. 45 British pounds, including wine. Stay away."
