"When the sashimi course came out, a different staff member mentioned “beef croquet” while describing the dishes. This raised a red flag, so I asked another staff member about it. She reassured me that it was potato and leek croquet and definitely contained no beef, apologizing for the confusion. I felt a bit more at ease when I cut it open, as it looked like a typical croquet. However, when I started eating it, the flavor reminded me of beef, and it made me feel ill—I almost had to spit it out. My partner also tried the same dish but didn’t recall tasting any beef. Since I was cautious about beef, I was more sensitive to the taste. It's possible they fried it in the same oil; I'm not sure. We each ordered a robata and a sushi omakase, with five courses each, but many of the courses were the same, which was a bit disappointing. Because of the croquet incident and the similarities in the courses, I would say this event turned out to be a mixed experience. The food was mostly good, though some dishes were not quite up to par. While the pricing felt slightly on the high side, it is London, so I suppose that's to be expected. I was also disappointed that the staff didn’t check in on how we were enjoying the courses when taking dishes away, especially in a restaurant of this caliber. On a positive note, the cake was delicious, the sashimi was excellent, and the grilled items were good too. I did find it a bit odd that some of the items on the plate were just sauces; I wouldn't expect to drink sauce like a soup. As for the deep-fried tomato, I would have preferred chicken instead, but that’s a minor detail. I think it would be helpful for the restaurant to provide a menu card so that customers can enjoy their omakase experience, particularly if they have any allergies."

"I really can't explain how good this restaurant is. I and my friend go here at least once in the week because the rams are so addicted. almost all nets can be made on request vegan and they are very courteous and friendly. in some restaurants I feel vegan judged by the workers for the demand for traditional meaty/fisheries, but they are so beautiful and understanding here. it is so good that when I and my friend go to eat and our meals to any other, we use this restaurant as a comparative point as it is always 10/10. we were about 20 times and every time we're lost for a worte. also amazing prices, we get a raming huge bowl to share and 8 pieces sushi each time and it comes to £18-20. I can't believe in how much I encourage you to go! I have no criticism."

"Sipsons is quite simply one of the best Indian restaurants around. Any time we're in the Heathrow area, we always try to visit. The staff is so welcoming and accommodating with dietary requirements or recommendations. And even though we only swing by a few times a year, they remember my favorite dish. We often run events nearby, and we always decide last minute to take the staff and some of our guests on a Sunday evening. They consistently manage to seat all 10 of us and deliver amazing food with no advance notice. The food is of exceptional quality, packed with so many layers of flavor, and each dish is delightfully distinct. And OMG, their Hari Mirch or Dhansak is heavenly; and I always choose the Saag Rice to accompany. I've never had a bad meal in the years I've been going. I only wish it was closer as I'd be in there every week. And big up the lads working there top people."

"The restaurant is very reasonably priced, the food is beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely accommodating and even participated in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, which was greatly appreciated."

"We visited Koto Restaurant on North Parade for Sunday lunch for the first time, and we wish we had tried it sooner. The ramen broth was incredibly delicious, with a gentleman next to us remarking that it tasted just like what he had in Japan. The menu was straightforward and easy to order from, with both the broth and noodles being homemade and preservative-free. The food was healthy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The only downside was that they do not take reservations, so there may be a wait. Overall, I would rate the food at Koto Restaurant as some of the best in Oxford."

"I'm at a loss for words. It could be amazing. I had made a reservation, but then they called to tell me they were closed. I appreciate the heads up, but it would be preferable if they didn't advertise as open when they're not."

"I just wanted to tell you how disappointed I am with your serve. Tonight was the second time in as many weeks that I came to you just before your listed closing time of 9pm. I was there at 8:50pm only to find that you were closed. What I thought was terrible customer service was even though I knocked politely on the glass 3 times the young lady behind the counter and the owner never even had the manners to look up to acknowledge me. A sorry would have been nice. I won't be back nor will I recommend you again."

"The establishment is characterized by its immaculate cleanliness and courteous staff. In my opinion, it stands as the premier fish and chip shop within the Portsmouth area. The culinary offerings are of exceptional quality, and the portion sizes are generous. Notably, a small serving of chips could easily suffice for two individuals. Customers have the option of dining in, taking away, or having their orders delivered. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment and highly recommend it."

"The quality of food from this restaurant has gone downhill. My last order wasn’t good but I gave the restaurant the benefit of doubt. The salad was dry and poppadoms broken again.Onion salad was far too filled with coriander.Usually I have a vindaloo but tried the Rogan..wasn’t up to standard and now unfortunately I will have to find another Indian restaurant which is a shame because this place used to be one of the best nearby"

"Ordered starters and waited nearly an hour (there was only a small group of us), one of our group complained and the starters appeared after 50 minutes of waiting. Food was ok but not fantastic. Starter plates were eventually removed and we waited nearly another hour for mains and took for us to complain again for those to come out. The waiters were rude and argued back at us and said ‘what do you expect we are busy’, another sat at the bar just laughing at us whilst plates were literally being shoved on to our table, one plate was placed on top of one my friends drink and left to balance there. Most of our food was cold. Rice turned up on cold plates and the waiter called me a liar when I explained my food was cold. Absolutely dreadful place but I was warned by many not to go there but I had already made the booking. PLEASE AVOID and go elsewhere. Let’s hope this place gets shutdown"

"poor customer service and edge send out a decent meal. the ordered large chips and pancake roll was told minutes for the pancake roll, I said fine as long as I made fresh chips. the chief was not happy when I heard his answer. after his coworker mentioned it, and it turns out that they didn't make fresh chips, but they had kept me waiting for chips for almost minutes that had been sitting there for at least minutes. (I'm a cook at wat) while the chips were sitting there. that is a minimum of minutes as a whole as well as my trip to home its minutes since the chips from the frit. that's a sweat that serves such a ****. much luck finding a decent chippy everywhere, let alone pauls chippy."

"Tasty fresh and spicy food. We ordered from the Thai menu and was not disappointed. Delicious Thai starters with ribs, satay, vegetable roll and fish cakes. The only disappointing thing were the fish cakes which didn’t seem to have much fish in them. This was only a very small part of our meal. There were lots of chillis in our main dish Penang chicken but not too many for us. Service was quick and efficient. Reasonable prices- nice ambiance."
