"We had a table booked for 7:15pm and to their credit, the staff allowed us to purchase drinks from a nearby place as we were a bit late. There were four of us and the restaurant was empty except for a couple at the table next to us. We opted to skip starters and were served poppadoms promptly. However, our main meals were not served until 9:15pm. Throughout the wait, the staff kept assuring us that our food would be ready "in 5 minutes", which turned out to be a lot longer. It was evident that they were prioritizing takeout orders over us. We considered leaving a few times and looking back, I'm surprised we didn't. It was disappointing because the food was good and we've had positive experiences at this restaurant in the past. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor and we will not be returning."

"A group of 10 longtime friends recently dined at the Butler's Arms and had a fantastic evening. We started off with drinks and were impressed by the selection of wine and real ale. Our table was ready on time and there was no pressure to order quickly. The menu was extensive, with all main dishes at a standard price on certain weekdays. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, generous portions, and well-prepared. The staff was friendly and efficient. Special thanks to Tom, Molly, and Dan for making our evening very enjoyable."

"I have been to the Beeston Lobster Pot, so I was expecting great quality but this still exceeded expectations. We ordered a few starters to share which we unfortunately forgot to photograph. They were all very good, especially the Haddock Chowder. For main course we ordered the Ultimate Seafood Platter which had delights of lobster, clams, crabs, prawns and oysters. The lobster had a choice of sauces and we had the cheese option this time. We enjoyed the evening tremendously, not only because of the marvellous food but also because of the magnificent service, which was friendly and informal, making things very comfortable. The overall cost is a little more than other restaurants but I feel that the quality of the food and the excellent service easily justify the extra cost. I have spoken to my dining partner and we will be returning to try other options."

"We were a party of 10 adults and 3 children, greeted and made to feel welcome by Olivia who looked after us brilliantly all evening. We had various menu choices and every dish was excellent with each person being served at the same time. The other waitresses assisting Olivia also did a fantastic job, the whole experience ensured a great evening for my wife’s birthday. Look forward to seeing you again soon. "I had lunch here, which comes with a bonus discount! It's an informal place with friendly staff and quick service. The menu had a good variety of Thai and seafood, we had a red curry and fish special which were both pleasant and adequate portions. I felt the restaurant fell between Street food and the more elaborate eateries and as such slightly overpriced."

"more personal than diners. the starters took age groups and were cold. sent back and were better on the return. main dishes delicious. because of such a slow service and the tight time we had no dessert. last stroh was card machine not working, so I went to get money from atm instead of risking another delay that go to main hotel reception to use a card"

"we had a table where were in a good place isolated from other tables. we chose bratbeef that came quite fast, but was only luke warm so that the waitress was more than happy to take it away. minutes later we have. all new tellers of foods that were much hotter and the bratkartoffeln and yorkshire were crispy. However, the bark was not good, about was very chewing and unusable. we didn't mention it to the waiter. we shared sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel ice that was good."
