"Upon arrival, we found ourselves waiting at the desk without acknowledgment of our open table booking, making the reservation pointless. The staff seemed disinterested in our confirmation and instead directed us to sit and wait in the bar before rushing outside. This strange first impression continued as the restaurant appeared half full yet we were left waiting at the bar. The barman neglected to take our drink orders, which would have improved our experience. After 10 minutes, one staff member informed us that a table was being cleared for us at the front, only for another staff member to seat us at a different table in the back. This made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Despite representing over £100 in revenue as a group of four, we felt like a low priority. However, once seated, the typical service experience at a Chiquito chain restaurant was good, with drinks, orders, and food served promptly. We had no complaints about the food and were pleased to be able to use a student discount, saving 25%. In the future, I believe more attention should be paid to first impressions, as my companion was initially tempted to leave but I convinced them to stay."

"We stopped by for a meal before heading to the cinema and had made a reservation through an agency, but unfortunately, Chiquitos hadn't received the notification (a downside for Open Table). However, the hostess at Chiquitos was absolutely delightful and quickly arranged a table for us without any hassle. She made us feel very welcome, and the rest of the staff were also friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, and we experienced no delays, making it easy to enjoy our meal before the movie. I would definitely recommend it for a pre- or post-cinema outing. It had a lively atmosphere that seemed perfect for dining with friends. We'll definitely be back!"

"Lovley waitress serving us.... felt sorry to complain! Asides from hour wait between courses others kids in restaurant). Both mains came out, pasta and risotto. Both over cooked- pasta tasted ok but the waitress could see that fungi chicken Risotto was just like mush and very kindly offered to replace it.... accepted, and it came back tasting ok but littered with chicken sinew/fat (as per picture above).... If not sinical I wonder how a chef working in such a nice place could make such a mistake? Mmmm "

"However, we did experience some issues with service timing. Our second pitcher of margaritas took over 20 minutes to arrive, leaving us with little time to enjoy them before heading to the movie. This was particularly disappointing, as the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time. As the others rushed to get the movie tickets, I ended up paying the bill, which took an additional 10 minutes to process. This made me late for the film, which was frustrating and detracted from the overall experience. On a positive note, the manager kindly removed the second pitcher from our bill without mentioning it, which was a nice gesture since we hadn’t consumed much of it. I don’t want to come off as overly critical of the staff, as they were all very friendly and accommodating. Perhaps just a bit more efficiency could enhance the experience?"

I thought I would try her brunch menu there were 6 of us. service was shocking, not attentive, spent the majority of her time in the bar in the deep talk. ordered pancakes (2 of them) and they were like naanbrot. when we complained, they said they were doing them thick .. that we pointed out that it was difficult to cut them with a knife and fork. they took off the pancakes at the end. my friends ordered a sausage as extra, but they came to see not in the least appetit. there are much better places to brunch."

"My husband and I visit here fairly regularly with our 2 year old daughter and we always really enjoy it. On our latest visit we did have quite a wait for our mains as we were informed there was a new chef taking over in the kitchen. We didn't mind too.much as we were happy chatting and could see it was quite busy and our server (who I think may have been a manager) was apologetic and waived the cost of our daughters meal as a good will gesture which was very kind. "When we arrived, we couldn't find our booking. Luckily the restaurant was not busy and our party of 7 we were almost immediately sitting thanks to the manager. while pleasant our waitress was noticeable due to their absentness during the meal. additional drinks and additional foods were requested by other employees as they were over. Eat excellent, although we find that the portions shrink with each one we make. instead of expensive if they have a discount voucher or code (which we have). the entire ambiente is quite bad at this visit. Unfortunately, the latest news seems that this is still a different restaurant chain in difficult financial terms, which affects personal moral badly. this is a scandal, as we love eating and if the service it would tip not the staple prices."
