"Really lovely atmosphere, we came here as a group of 3 and it was very cheap. All the options are vegan, the bacon is very nice and worth a try, also cheap (30p a piece, we got 6 for 1.80 it’s great vegan food because it is very affordable. I had the chickin lickin sandwich (again vegan, but tasted like chicken! and it was very yummy and filling."

"Hit or painful miss. Habaneros used to be my favourite spot in both Truro and Falmouth for food. Now when you go to habaneros you must expect the food to be the best you’ve ever eaten in Truro or completely inedible. My orders toppings tasted like water, no flavour in the hot sauce and underneath that just tasted like spices out of the jar. I can’t finish it because it is disgusting. Raw onions, jalapeños the size of tortillas, different tortillas that taste worse. Absolutely no flavour or the flavour of spice out the jar should be embarrassing for this establishment that has proven itself to be more than capable of quality fast food in the past. This is not the first time I have been disappointed either. Do they have new owners? Most places in Cornwall in this price range are mid but consistent, habaneros is anything but that. Do not go to this place until they bring the quality back. there is an incredibly high chance you’ll get inedible food. If not inedible they may forget to include sides (happened to me 3 times each time the workers seemed annoyed that I wanted to receive the food I asked for), only half fill the box, hairs in food etc I never leave terrible reviews and this feels awful but habaneros has been bad/inconsistent for too long and I have no idea how they haven’t gone out of business. Bring back your loyalty stamp cards! Bring back flavour! right now I will not be going back to habaneros in fal or truro unless I hear that they have improved, every time I’ve gone in the last year there’s been something wrong and I’m not one to complain about food."

"The weather in Derry was terrible yesterday, but that didn't stop people from queuing up for Guapo. I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did, even though the food was actually for someone else (I'll definitely treat myself next week). The staff was incredibly helpful, from the cheerful female server who told me, "You can have whatever you want!" to the guy who prepared my food just the way I requested, with the sour cream on the side. The portions were generous, the ingredients fresh, and the prices great. Once inside the restaurant, the food was prepared quickly. This was the first time The Golden Girls (both in their 80s) had tried it, and my attempt at changing up their usual Friday takeaway was a success. They absolutely loved it and called me this morning to rave about it. The bag of tortilla chips and sour cream was the perfect finishing touch for them. Once I handed over the food, they dug in happily and didn't stop to chat - they were too busy enjoying their meal. We (or they) will definitely be back. Thank you so much!"

"I tried lunch here. I quite liked the venue as it seemed alternative, with artistic types inside (and space upstairs for live music and spoken word events). I was disappointed by the food unfortunately. I went for the burrito which I found way too hot (spicy) and tomatoey. I didn't feel it was that great in terms of vegan main food options and think it could have been more imaginative. It is not really wheelchair accessible as the toilets are up a lot of stairs. If I ate sugar, I would probably go more as there did seem to be more vegan sweet options."

"I ordered delivery from the Reading location through Deliveroo and was extremely impressed. I lived in LA for 10 years and had some of the best Mexican food available, and this is the first place I've tried since moving back home that was comparable. The Burrito I ordered with Steak and Black Beans was amazing. The black beans were cooked perfectly, which is not easy to achieve. The food was well-packaged for takeout, and it was still fresh and hot when I received it. I highly recommend this place."

"Passing through Berwick and stopped for a late lunch. The first option I looked at on HappyCow had stopped serving food for lunch so we walked down the street and saw this place. Unassuming place but a good location. Wasn't sure what to expect but the owner assured us the vegetable burrito and taco options were vegan so we sat down and we both chose the large vegan burrito. Was a good portion and super tasty. Came with a side salad and small individual portions of guacamole and sauce (and sour cream, non-vegan). Highly recommended! Good value too and if you're there in the evening it's BYO. Saw that they do desserts too, although not sure if they were vegan or not"

"Organic shop with extensive variety of vegetarian and vegan products (as well as some organic meet). Just outside the city centre, not difficult to find. Opposite a big Co-op, signposted from the main road. All your favourites including wines, ales, eco cleaning products, rice milks, teas, coffees (fairtrade), vegan cheeses, jams, vegan chocolate spread, egg free mayo, organic bread... I can't remember everything but there is loads. Some of it is a bit pricey, as expected. There is a small cafe which my boyfriend and I had a coffee at which was ok. We didn't eat there but they seemed to have some veggie and vegan options for lunch. Relaxed atmosphere."

"I was in search of a place to grab a meal one Saturday afternoon, during a light drizzle and on a race day when many places were closed. That's when I stumbled upon Upstairs Downstairs Tearooms. Despite the busy atmosphere, I was directed to a table upstairs and handed a menu. After placing my order for a meal and a pot of tea, my food arrived promptly. I enjoyed a delicious individual meat pie served with a variety of accompaniments, all on a bed of fresh leaves. The service was top-notch and the price was reasonable. Overall, a great dining experience at Upstairs Downstairs."

"Went tonight for some food and drinks, under the new name millies. Safe to say we won’t be back the place was super busy with no social distancing being put in place. People queuing and crawling over each other (not sure if queuing at the bar is even allowed with new rules in place), with no masks being worn when not sat in your seat. We waited 10 minutes for a menu, when I asked a waiter for a menu I was told to ask for someone else. Surely I shouldn’t have to wait for an appropaite staff member to get me a menu? Service was slow but we got there in the end, bruschetta and chicken wings to start with two Christmas dinners for mains which were great. The male waiter (who wore glasses) was great, upsold us sides which we ordered as we were very hungry, but when they arrived the onion rings were dripping in grease and we didn’t eat any(this wasn’t noticed by the waiter nor were we asked was everything okay until we were paying this bill). Clearance took ages the cocktail I ordered was supposed to be a bramble but was far from it. All in all, very disappointed. We felt very unsafe which proceeded us to leave early. During the pandemic we all know we can’t behave as normal, but apparently the rules don’t apply in Millies. Queues for the bar, little to no one wearing masks, we were charged for an extra drink on our bill which we didn’t order. Complete let down and left feeling very ignored and unsatisfied."
