"Went tonight for some food and drinks, under the new name millies. Safe to say we won’t be back- the place was super busy with no social distancing being put in place. People queuing and crawling over each other (not sure if queuing at the...bar is even allowed with new rules in place), with no masks being worn when not sat in your seat. We waited 10 minutes for a menu, when I asked a waiter for a menu I was told to ask for someone else. Surely I shouldn’t have to wait for an appropaite staff member to get me a menu? Service was slow but we got there in the end, bruschetta and chicken wings to start with two Christmas dinners for mains which were great. The male waiter (who wore glasses) was great, upsold us sides which we ordered as we were very hungry, but when they arrived the onion rings were dripping in grease and we didn’t eat any(this wasn’t noticed by the waiter nor were we asked was everything okay until we were paying this bill). Clearance took ages the cocktail I ordered was supposed to be a bramble but was far from it. All in all, very disappointed. We felt very unsafe which proceeded us to leave early. During the pandemic we all know we can’t behave as normal, but apparently the rules don’t apply in Millies. Queues for the bar, little to no one wearing masks, we were charged for an extra drink on our bill which we didn’t order. Complete let down and left feeling very ignored and unsatisfied."

We ate outside- tables were dirty. Ordered food and drinks- the food came with no cutlery or salt etc- had to go inside twice to request them- the drinks didn’t arrive until after we finished our food- very unpleasant experience.

I was just told they couldnt serve me. was it maybe how i spoke and looked? Vehicle had Southern registration but I dont think that was the reason. Was in Northern Ireland for sporting event . Didnt get a very good impression. Went to pub...at other end of village and got my pint of Guinness there..

Service was great until 9pm then went badly down hill. Waited over ,40 mins for drink after repeated confusion from staff on what we had ordered. Meanwhile watched others getting drinks ordered after ours before us. Very frustrating experience and wont be back. Would have been happy with complementary drink but no, totally amateur operation.

pricey Christmas menu available without other option. if other menus are not available update their website! I'm sorry, but I don't want a Christmas menu on 24 november?! Decided average service to time constantly asking but then coworkers disappear when necessary. no atmosphere and. much average eating overboils dry burgers. will not be back.

The service is horrendous. Their system chaotic .Repeatedly ask waiters, managers, staff anyone for a drinks order eventually got a drink after a long wait . Our food was awful, steak was burnt and had to be sent back and the burger wasn’t much better . The place has been total revamped and is a lovely a bar /restaurant but something needs to chance to make it work .

Visited here today with my son for lunch what can I say, apart from it was a great experience! The waitress Becca recommended the veggie burrito it had to be the best I’ve ever tasted, and there was so much I...brought some home. My son had the sticky chicken and took half of his home also as the portions are so big. Becca went out of her way to make us and everyone else in the bar/restaurant feel welcome. She is an excellent asset to a hospitality establishment. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you.

Came for a visit yesterday in the new rebranded name Millies and was stunned at first sight.. lovely staff, food was incredible and the new manager was lovely, she couldnt get us a table at first but was offered drinks at the tent until table was free which is fine considering current situation. Once seated on our table i thought she was very pleasant with us and her upselling was very impressive, great attitude! The food came and it was yummy! Big upgrade from Mcglones to Millies, from lovely staff to excellent food! Welldone

"Without a doubt the worst experience we have ever had. Pre booked a table for 5 for dinner on Saturday evening and when we arrived they didn't seem that busy. We were shown to our table relatively quick. We then had to sit there for around 20 minutes until someone came to take our food order. I was a bit surprised that there was only 2 steaks on the menu unless you gave 24hr notice. We then had to ask could we order a drink. It wasn't a difficult order 1 beer and 4 Fanta. We waited a further 15 for the drinks to come which were wrong also the glasses were disgusting with lipstick and previous drink residue on them.we eventually got all that sorted and the food came. I had ordered a mixed grill which was £28 I asked for my steak to be cooked medium. The plates were literally just in front of us 2 minutes when a waitress came and asked was everything OK. As I began to work my way through the food I eventually got to the 8oz steak which was very well done and extremely hard to chew so it was left. When everyone had finished they came to clear the plates and I told the waitress that I had asked for medium and not well done and to my surprise she immediately got on the defensive asking did someone come and see if everything was OK I told her yes but it was just after the food was brought. 2 minutes later the owner of the place came out of the kitchen with my steak on a small plate and proceeded to tell me I was wrong and that that's the way a medium steak should look but there was not even a slight tinge of pink. He then started to tell me that I didn't know how steak was cooked. I then mentioned the glasses and he said didn't they get replaced so what's the problem. At this point t my kids were getting pretty upset so I just asked for the bill so we could leave. To be honest it was very intimidating to have a well over 6ft man stand over you arguing over a piece of steak. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone."

"Where to begin? Our mother decided to “treat” myself and my sister to lunch. However, soon our joy turned into laughter, and then to severe disappointment. My sister and I shared a “panini” of bacon, Brie and cranberry sauce. Firstly, the “panini” was a baguette...which had been seared then microwaved. The bacon was the best bit, yet had clearly reheated in a microwave. The Brie, was next to non-existent. The cranberry sauce, oh my goodness it was atrocious. Our “panini” was not a generous size for a grand price of half of which was filled with psychedelic blood-like sugary cranberry sauce (with giant chunks of cranberry). First when my sister took a bite I thought she was over exaggerating, for I had not tasted the cranberry sauce yet, it was upon my second bite the true horror of the “panini” had come to fruition. Picture this, expecting to have a bite of creamy Brie, crispy bacon, and tart cranberry sauce, and then instead being met with a taste that resembled sweetened jelly powder. I tried to convince myself that my tastebuds were deceiving me I fought through the overwhelming taste of sweeties, to attempt to taste the Brie, which in fact I couldn’t find. The bacon flavour barely made it through and the bread was more a sponge for soaking up the cranberry sauce. As you can see from the photo provided, in order to make some attempt at finishing the “panini”, my sister and I had to dissect it and surgically remove what looked like blood clots cranberries. To add to this horror, there was but a sad pile of coleslaw, apparently a pile of crinkle-cut crisps it wasn’t even to my surprise at this point that there was one solitary crinkle-cut crisp among a variety of other flavoured basic crisps. To top this all off, our mother bravely tried the pink foam substance (we still aren’t sure what it was) and she had to immediately reach for her glass of water to wash away the taste. This experience produced within us both feelings of guilt and shame. Guilt, because our mother (who rarely eats out) was attempting to “treat” us to brunch. She felt guilty at inflicting such a disastrous “panini” on us as a “treat”. Shame, because we are the type of family who NEVER leave food on our plates, yet we were so embarrassed about how it looked like we barely ate anything at all, so we quickly made an exit. In conclusion, the hot food needs serious reform. On a positive note, the staff seemed friendly."
