"This restaurant is absolutely stunning! The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff are exceptional. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The menu is extensive with plenty of options to satisfy all appetites and a unique selection of beverages (Irish Coffee Martini - delicious!). The dishes were beautifully presented, generous in size, and most importantly, delicious! The staff were attentive and friendly. There was also a fantastic live performance, as Boisdale of Belgravia always has them (check their website for more information). Without drinks, expect to spend around £80-£100 for two people (including a starter, main course, dessert). I would definitely visit again."

"I used to really like Skylon it was somewhere you took someone for a special treat a real destination. But times have changed, there is so much more competition around I can’t help feeling that Skylon has faded a little. It still has potential; it still could be great, but on this occasion, it fell short of the mark. Maybe it was just the January blues, or maybe because most people were probably dining on the ES offer menu, but the staff seemed tired and lacking in energy, food service was very slow, and little touches were missing (for example, water wasn’t topped up, and even when we asked, it took over 10 minutes). Our starters were nice almost worth waiting for! and it felt like the mains could have been nice they were well cooked, and generous with ingredients, but all incredibly salty especially the risotto. Such a shame, because this really let it down I managed to eat around half (alongside some bread to offset the saltiness), but then gave up. I hate food waste, so asked if I could take away the rest (a small spoonful with some salad would have done us for lunch the next day). But apparently this is not possible at Skylon... this also shocked me... I’ve not encountered anywhere for a long time which wouldn’t accommodate a “doggy bag” (occasionally places have charged for a box, or occasionally the packaging has been a little makeshift, but people have always been happy to help). As a venue, it’s still nice has a great view, so with a bit of a shake up could be great again, but I won’t go back unless I hear that things have changed."

"This is about the 4th time I have been here and every time it exceeds my expectations. The staff are friendly but not intrusive, they are knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve. The food is superb the chefs are fantastic. My only concern with my review is that if other people read it I may have to book earlier than last time to get it. : Even my Italian friend says that its the only Italian Restaurant he'll go to in London I think that sums it up perfectly."

"The food was very well cooked, full of flavours and the presentation was fantastic. However the service was dissapoiting. They forgot our wine order so we had to remind them after we got our starters. They also mixed up the starter sauces and gave my boyfriend chocolate sauce to go with his Yorkshire pudding and beef (instead of red wine jus). It didn't go well and sadly he realised that too late. They also mixed up our sides and we had to wait several minutes with the main meals going cold for them to bring the right ones. Our booking was on sat evening and there were only 4-5 tables there the whole time so they were not busy. You just expect a better service and less mistakes when you pay £100 for two people dinner+drinks."

"You will have heard of this place and rave reviews from some friends. So you already have an inflated expectation and it will poke your food related conscience if you don't try it. So do. "The venue itself is beautiful. Really lovely pub as so many are in Bath. Unfortunately the reception we had from the girl on the bar downstairs was unfriendly, boarding on rude. Had to wait for our table which was 20 mins late, which I understand on a busy Sunday is often the case not easy to turn the tables. Roast dinners were okay, nice Yorkshire pudding which came regardless of what meat you ordered which is a nice touch. We ordered the extra potatoes at nearly £5 which was a little pricey. Out of 5 puddings, only 2 were available. Again they were fine but nothing more than that. For two people, both having two courses and a pint and a half of Pepsi each nearly £90 stung a bit."

"we have booked a table for 12 that was pretty cramped. staff efficient and friendly, only missing fine details e.g.: eating came out, but no cutlery or serviettes, so wait wait wait wait until this was cold during eating. asked for sauces that old people accepted to come. Meals were ok, I feel that the burgers are not as tasty as they were before. I had heard that they bought them from 'burger plus' instead of making their own. burger didn't taste fresh, more like a processed burger, I wonder if they came in frozen. it is so easy to make homemade burgers, so not sure why this cant be made especially if £13! overall we enjoyed the evening, but more attention to the bases would be appreciated."

"I would recommend cinnabar for food if the menu / food was a little cheaper, but 3 adults and a child costs £73 for lunch is quite expensive in my eyes, especially with it only net and 2 desserts, it was a nice place for brunch on sunny days, but I think it was taken over last year or two. We also visited the Hitchin branch and had photos of how small the portions were, and only realized that there were the same owners when we visited the Stevenage branch, so unless you feel that a Tad Flush gave them a visit, but food is not so special to be honest."

"I had an amazing experience dining at this restaurant, where the freshly cooked food is incredibly affordable. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portions! On my first visit, I ordered the banaberry pancakes, which come topped with banana, mixed berries, strawberry cream, whipped cream, and syrup. I was blown away by the quantity and variety of toppings in the stack! My friend opted for the chocoberry indulgence crepes, filled with nuts, strawberries, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, whipped cream, and a mix of chocolate and strawberry flavors. "This is the original and always been the best kebab shop in Aberdeen. Been going there since 1983, 84 i think when it opened. Used many times in my younger days after being suitably refreshed out in the town. It is and always will be the only kebab shop i will use. Ordering online is great and delivery is fast. The doner bursa is my favourite and no one can do it better."

"My son and I decided to grab a bite at the bar in the square of the city, and we were not disappointed. The bar food menu was simple yet appealing, with a variety of enticing options. "Friends choice to go here, not in the nicest area but the decor inside was quite nice. More a cafe than a restaurant but it’s open in the evenings, Teenagers hanging around connected with the lady owner I think), it was quiet inside apart from them. The food was nice enough, it came in good time. The special price deal is daytime only I believe. This is a foreign owned establishment, felt a bit out of place tbh. The lady owner was ok I guess, bit of a vibe I picked up on. The toilet was nice and clean. The thing I found rude was that before we had finished our drinks the door was left open to the restaurant letting in the cold night air, in other words she wanted us gone as she wanted to close I assume. A polite word would have been far better explaining it was near closing time. It really spoiled the evening. There was also political propaganda on the counter, not something I want to hear about in a cafe. Not somewhere I would go back, I didn’t feel that comfortable. Two stars for the food which was decent and the drinks."

"We reserved an early table at but didn’t realise it was afternoon tea! The reservation didn’t confirm this but I also did not check out the menu which was an option! The staff were extremely accommodating, they offered to make us a reservation at a restaurant nearby or wait until we decided to wait and they gave us a drink on the house and sat us in their gorgeous room by the fire, they took our order and as soon as the chefs came in they cooked our food and we were eating by couldn’t ask for anything else, the ambience in the room was perfect, the music was nice and the staff were great, our steak was cooked to perfection and we had a fabulous wedding anniversary, will definitely return"
