"Our visit to 10 Castle Street for a special Christmas Eve lunch with my elderly mother and other family members exceeded our expectations. Despite initial concerns raised by negative TripAdvisor reviews (which only reinforced our belief that not everyone should be writing reviews), we had a wonderful time. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive, with Dean in particular standing out for his charm and care towards my mother. Although the food service was a tad slow, we didn't mind as we were engrossed in conversation and enjoyed the charming Country Life ambience of the beautifully renovated country house. The foie gras starter was beautifully presented and delicious, and all of our dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. We will certainly be returning and eagerly look forward to it."

"I heard that this restaurant was described as small and cozy, and it definitely lives up to that reputation. However, the size of the restaurant is actually one of my complaints about it."

"amazing crepes with a large selection of toppings to choose from. I had the Belgian chocolate chips with fresh strawberries together with a puppenpult made of whipped cream and vanille ice cream. absolutely loved everything on my teller, but I think there should have been a bigger scoop of ice cream to compensate for the enough of the crepes."

"I must say that I was looking for a place to enjoy some comforting pudding, and although it wasn't my original choice, it exceeded my expectations. The staff were all friendly, hardworking, and a delight to be served by. I received a warm welcome and ordered the sticky toffee pudding and a delicious mango blast (mango banana smoothie), both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, beautiful music, and a variety of tasty treats. I also discovered that they have a restaurant on the premises, which I will definitely visit on my next trip. This was my first time in Aberdeen, and I am so glad I found this gem. I sincerely hope for their continued success and encourage everyone to give it their all and believe in their dreams. Wishing many blessings and highly recommending this place to all who visit Aberdeen. It is a must-visit! #beststodgypudding"

"Firstly the decor and staff were lovely. They were attentive and had a smile. Everything else was awful and I will not be going back. Firstly, the restaurant was boiling! They must have had the heating on or something because it was unbearable. Loads of people fanning themselves with menus. One woman I saw sit down and after 5 mins left because she said she was too hot and felt faint. The toilets had no loo roll. I informed a member of staff, when my friend went to the loo 40 mins later still no loo roll. So she took napkins in with her. The food was ok. It’s a lot of money for what it is! I had butterfly chicken and chips which with a drink came to £30. I also didn’t think they had a good selection of food either. I wouldn’t go back."

"The shop was empty around 7pm which you'd think they'd be happy for custom! The 2 girls in the shop did not seem welcoming AT All, no smiles no customer service! The seats were filthy and the menus were sticky! When seated the lady did...not tell us we would have to order at the till, and was frowning and showed attitude when asked if she would take our order. Then another lady at the back said she told us (from behind the counter out of sight) that we'd have to go to the till. No one smilled all night!! THEY PLAYED EXPLICIT MUSIC WITH SWEAR WORDS IN EVERY VERSE even though my 12 Yr old sister was dining with us! The cakes were very dry and not worth the money and for the extra payment for custard, the teaspoon amount you get is offensive!! Overall experience was ridiculously terrible, will NEVER be going there again! Don't waste your money!"

"We made a reservation for two before a concert. Upon arrival, there was a slow-moving line to get in even though the restaurant was only a third full. The meat barbecue deal we ordered was good, but all the meat seemed to be heavily salted. The beer was reasonably priced at £4.80 for a pint of Brahma, but the wine was expensive at £6.20 for 125ml. The service was good with staff frequently checking on us, creating a busy atmosphere that may suit those looking for a pre-concert meal, but not ideal for a relaxed dining experience. The buffet had a good selection of dishes, but lacked fish options. Overall, it was a decent meal, but the saltiness of the meat was a concern for my blood pressure."

"This unique ice cream shop offers a diverse selection of flavors that customers can choose and fill themselves. The toppings are exceptional and the ice cream is delicious, although it may be on the expensive side. The restaurant is said to be suitable for vegetarians, but it's recommended to double-check with the staff. Customers pay based on the weight of their ice cream."

"Cookiez is an extremely child-friendly restaurant with great prices and delicious food. They offer a wide range of milkshakes, ice cream, and more. The staff go above and beyond for their customers, making it my go-to place for desserts. I highly recommend their oreo, kinder, and ferror rochas milkshakes. I can always rely on Cookiez for the best desserts. Additionally, they have easy parking, which is always a plus."

"I came to the breakfast yesterday and it was perhaps the best decision I made during my trip to Edinburgh. the owner (jonathan) was very nice and warm and welcomed me to the restaurant and gave me the drain on the Scottish breakfast. I had a little fear to try the haggis and black pudding, but everything was delicious! jonathan said they had the best heggis in the city and he didn't lie. the meal was warm and tasty and the perfect fuel for a long and cold day of remembrance, and more than that it gave me a taste of the Scottish hospitality! You have to come here at least once, but hopefully more, in your life!"

"My wife and I arrived at Jaggers at 11.40am today found a table and ordered two coffees and soon thereafter ordered two x smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast. The coffees arrived and we were asked to settle the bill at that time. Little did we know that the toast we had ordered would take 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive! We saw people that had sat down after us being served before we were. Apparently “the crepes are cooked in a different part of the kitchen”. The toasts were ok but the poached eggs not brilliant after waiting 70 minutes for them. The table staff were fine it wasn’t their fault but come on. How can it take that long to serve a relatively easy snack? We weren’t offered any discount at all and in fact warned a couple who sat next to us that we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. Awful service in that respect and I think we weren’t the only ones as a table of four next to us must have also waited over an hour to be served their (basically simple) food. Steer well clear. If we hadn’t paid up front we would have left the money for the coffees and walked!"

"This was my second visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the first visit was better than the second. The wrong burger was brought out initially, but a replacement was given along with extra fries. We were overcharged when we were leaving, but the mistake was rectified and a refund was given on my card. We had to pay a £5 deposit per person to book their bottomless breakfast/brunch, but this was refunded in cash when we paid. The drinks listed are only bottomless. The French toast breakfast was much larger than expected, and my friend struggled to finish it. Overall, my previous visit during the summer had gone smoothly. Parking was limited, but we didn't have an issue finding a spot as it was quiet when we visited."

"The restaurant is themed as a Rio Street Food venue and the décor is lively and colourful. The restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived and we had good service from our 2 waiting staff. Our starters arrived and were delicious, we had the spicy prawns and the chicken croquettes. As we were eating our starters we noticed the restaurant had really started to fill up and that's when the wheel fell off the service wagon! Our main course arrived and the chicken skewer I ordered was dry and overcooked, the sweet potato fries were stone cold and to be fair were replaced quickly. We had to walk over to the tills to request the bill as we could not attract any attention. We noticed people walking out due to the quality of the food and the lack of service. This is a real shame as the concept is very good and the waiting staff are very pleasant but they can't seem to cope when the restaurant becomes busy which I also think is down to the chefs."

"pho is a great option if you are looking for a vegan clear broth nudel soup and have no time to go through all mother and pop lists to find something more authentic (and vegan.) what is beautiful at pho, they offer at least two vegan broths, one is closer to normal broth and the other is a spicy broth (but tends to be very keen. I was sincerely a bit underwhelmed by both broths at several Pho sites, but they can still add many sriracha and other toppings to their tasting. I love her tofu, which is very porous and holds a good volume of broth in the inner. the phosuppe is with the very thin phonos (not my favorites) and the spicy suppe is with the thick/round noodles, like spaghetti noodles (I love this nudel option.) my general judgment is that is great if they are in an prise or have to find a place that will satisfy vegan and nonveganer equally, as it is virtually everywhere that there is phospie. but I am more inclined to choose a local mother and pop if it is an option. I also found the version that is incompatible with Pho sites."
