"Well when we got there, the reception could not find our reservation as while it was made on Open Table they could not see it on their booking system. The 1st receptionist never apologised for it but then the host found it and did apologise and showed us to the table with a strict 1.5hr turnaround. There was no time for dessert or coffee."

"We went for a family meal last Friday. Unfortunately there was a series of power cuts in the area which blacked out most of the nearby businesses, but somehow The Highland carried on! The food was lovely and served with good humour from the staff under very difficult conditions. We were even given a bottle of wine as we left! "We are actually regular guests, but today nothing was right. The food took a very long time, over an hour, while tables that arrived far after us were served similar dishes before us. When the food finally came, it was only after asking for it, and then it was lukewarm. The Wiener Schnitzel were completely soggy at the bottom and nearly inedible, as if our waiter had forgotten to pick them up and left them sitting for the last 10-20 minutes. Very frustrating and absolutely unacceptable for the price. I hope we just had a bad day and that the Schnitzelei will soon return to its old quality."

"War in den vergangenen 3 Wochen zweimal dort nachdem der erste Abend leider ziemlich enttäuschend war, wollte ich dem Kulturbahnhof K K noch eine zweite Chance geben. Beide Male war einfach das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis nicht angemessen. Wie bereits ein anderer Gast in seiner Bewertung schreibt, ist die Beleuchtung und somit die Atmosphäre ziemlich unangenehm und sorgt in einem meist sehr leeren Lokal für eine wahre Rauswerf Atmosphäre. Es fehlt irgendwie das Ambiente, die gute Seele im Raum. Beide Male war der Service (unterschiedliche Personen) sehr unerfahren und unprofessionell. Auch ohne große Gasto Erfahrung weiß ich, dass man Teller nicht unter der Nase des Nachbarn quer über den Tisch reicht : Die Weinkarte ist für ein Restaurant dieser Preiskategorie ebenfalls ein No Go. Ein stets bemühter Restaurantleiter hat uns zwar noch eine andere Flasche aus dem Hut gezaubert, nachdem wir auf der Weinkarte einfach nichts Zufriedenstellendes finden konnten sowas darf aber in einem Restaurant wie dem K K einfach nicht sein. Die Speisen waren lecker und man serviert mit witzigen Gags beispielsweise das Brot. Einigen gefällt das, bei anderen kam das nicht an. Meine Empfehlung ist, sich vor allem erst einmal auf die Kernaufgabe wie erstklassigen, schnellen aufmerksamen Service kombiniert mit gutem Essen Getränken zu konzentrieren dann kommen auch die Gäste."

"Had a lovely evening at the City Restaurant. Menu options are great, my partner and I both tried meats we'd not had before which the chef cooked to perfection. And the staff made us feel genuinely really welcome. Complimentary starter and digestive and discount for next visit. Oh and they chased us down the road to give me back my purse which I had forgotten!! 10/10 customer service! Will definitely be back. Thank you for the lovely meal!"

"We booked a candle light dinner at Hotel Erb's restaurant and stayed here on 28.12. Unfortunately, the service was a great disaster. The staff was hopelessly overwhelmed. At the beginning we had to attend an unfriendly and unsightly debate between restaurant management and waiter. This was already very unprofessional, something should not be discussed before the guests. Since we had booked a fixed menu, we would have expected the guest to be informed what courses are served. Missing. The whole evening consisted of waiting, omitting whole courses, lukewarm coffee, anger about ignorance of the waiter not only with us but also with the other guests! Others have also gone sometime without getting the ice cream ordered 50 minutes ago. At the crowning conclusion there were still unsightly discussions with the restaurant management, which did not know the services of the menu. We have already dispensed with the aperitivs, which have also simply not been raised to multiple questions. Just because we had no desire for further debates. The guest has to justify himself and declare that a real food strikes you, very bad! It's also a shame because food was really good. But at a price of 90, EUR and 4* this service is absolutely not, sorry! Maybe in my criticism you see a chance of improvement or we got a bad day? We can only guess from a restaurant visit here."

"I made a reservation for two at the Octoberfest pub in Fulham. When we arrived, we were taken to our table but then ignored by the staff. After waiting for a while, I went to the bar to ask for someone to take our order, but was given mixed responses before being told to order at the bar. The service was poor and the food was disappointing. Additionally, I had to pay for our meal upfront, which was unusual for a restaurant claiming to offer an authentic German dining experience. The loud dance music also made it difficult to have a conversation. Overall, I would suggest avoiding this place."

"We went to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, we only managed to get a table at 1:30pm, when brunch was about to end at 3:00pm. As a result, there were very few options left to choose from. The selection was quite limited, especially for breakfast items. The potatoes were almost gone, and there were no more muffins or potato buffers available. The advertisement mentioned that there would be meat and fish options for brunch, but the only meat available was pork trunks and small roast pieces. The only fish option was salmon to be eaten with bread. The sausages looked like they had been sitting out for a while. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch."

"Innerhalb der letzten drei Jahre waren wir ungefähr zehnmal zu Gast. Die Leistung von Herrn Bühner ist über jede Kritik erhaben. Er selbst wirkt ausgeglichen und zufrieden wie lange nicht. Eine feste Burg ist Sommelier Oetzel. Immer sympathisch und überaus kompetent. Der Service schwächelt erwas. Fragen von mir konnten nicht beantwortet werden. Man hat das Gefühl, dass Frau Kanaragatnam unausgeglichen ist. Dies überträgt sich auf Teile des Serviceteams. Das La Vie ist aber dennoch eine absolut empfehlenswerte Adresse."

"For us, a high top seat is not a high table or a table in the bar that is not set. We are normally used to getting what has been booked. Even if the Wolfsburg ice hockey team is a guest at the hotel. It was very annoying at our wedding with athletes in jogging pants and rib shirts reading the newspaper next to us to eat on our big day. I think that the hotel can plan better by booking the wedding suite. The service tried hard to make it more bearable. For us, unfortunately, never again worth a trip or dinner"
