"My new favourite restaurant. Second is the white lion pub norwich. This place was fantastic. The staff were so helpful and patient, they gave us good advice on what to order etc. The food was incredible. We had the butterfly King prawn and squid starters followed by peeking tiger Rib eye steak superb!! Beautifully cooked medium rare in a delicious powerful savoury sauce with mushrooms and a little veg cooked to perfection. The other meal we had was seafood ie prawns mussels and squid in a sweet sauce, which was lovely but very sweet, so would accompany it with plain rice to combat the strong flavour profiles."

"I left a review for this place years ago and it was a very positive one at that. Been back loads of times over the years and it’s slowly gone done hill but tonight was the last time for me. Mixed starter where everything...was deep fried and soggy, even the token salad was soggy. Monk fish stir fry with six very small pieces of battered monk fish. Pad Thai with very little flavour. Egg fried rice. House red which is all they served in the shape of wine which really wasn’t very nice and my partner didn’t even drink a quarter it was that bad. All that for Do you ever feel like you’ve been robbed?"

"First visit here and really impressed with the food. Chicken satay was juicy, seasoned well and came with a lovely salad and dressings. The jumbo prawn starter was sublime. Drinks service was rapid so thank you to the kind lady who bought out my 3 wines in rapid succession. My prawn main was fabby, good portion and kick of heat. Only down side was the sticky rice was way too sticky for me so we ordered a plain rice on top. One of the nicest Thai meals we’ve had"

"4yrs ago someone suggested Art of Siam for birthday venue. It was excellent for the food, the prices and thr cosy decor. For the past year we have been having lunch regularly and my only niggle is why is it not closer to home? It must be the best restaurant for miles, especially if you enjoy mouthwatering Thai food served in a pleasant friendly atmosphere by lovely people who cannot help but please. A 2 course lunch for under a tenner is not to be missed and, having sampled the more than adequate choices, I cannot fault any. I believe in praise where due and will recommend any place that deserves it deserve. This place does. I 've also posted a couple of scathing reports about pub restaurants that should be avoided especially on Sunday when they run out of veg !! and serve concrete pastry. Its local, scenic, recently refurbished and handy for walking. Its on Tripadvisor so read and decide for yourself. Honest comments are valuable."

"I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The food was excellent, the beer was great, and the service was top-notch. Plus, the value for money is impressive. I would estimate the average cost per person to be between £20 and £30. Overall, I would rate the food and service a perfect 5 out of 5, and the atmosphere a solid 4 out of 5. Highly recommended!"
"How can we spend some money? I went to this restaurant for the first time today to meet friends and have drinks and snacks. It was 3:30pm so it wasn't busy. I ordered a tonic..."

"I just wish we had checked the reviews which i normally do! before paying a silly amount of money for what was perhaps one of the worst takeaways I have ever had. The only reason it is getting 2 stars is because it filled a hole, but it certainly did not take you back to Thailand like other takeways do with their fresh bold flavours. This stuff was clearly microwaved rubbish, the website is misleading as it claims to be freshly cooked traditional Thai, but none of the 'flavours ' i have just eaten were anything close to Thai : money wasted : I like others wont be back I do wish them the best of luck though, as it does seem as though once upon a time this place was decent.."

"The office is a good little pint and chat place, the food however is a little substandard and they may forgot to add key ingredients to your dish… the decor is modern and has large couches available."

"Service initially slow. Food when it came out was lovely but the evening was completely spoilt when the waitress knocked a full glass of lager over my partner when placing the plates causing him to be completely covered as well as his phone and everything on the table. The food was brought out before the plates so was sat there whilst we cleaned up the mess...the waitress ran off without apologising or offering to clean up. The main lady tried to blame us at first but was told what had actually happened. She offered free drinks as compensation but eventually agreed to take our meals and drinks off the bill. She admitted staff were inexperienced (the waitress didn't even know what each dish she was bringing out was). A family birthday meal spoilt by staff so we won't return which is a shame because the food was tasty. If the waitress that caused the issue had apologised, acknowledged her mistake and helped to clean up this review might have been more favourable."

"Food was nice but portions are very minimal for the price we pay. Also we met some friends here for an evening but we're rushed out within one hour, so we didnt get time to spend witbnour friends. Not a place to wine and dine just a quick chat and food and then your told to leave as other ppl have booked. Next time I'd rather try somewhere else because despite ordering more food, we were still not full up. We had 5 mains, four rice, one plain noodles and one pad Thai between 4 of us and wasn't enough. Also service was veey pushy which I understand its coz they are busy but I didn't want to be rushed and kept intruding our conversations. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2"

"Impossible to get through on the telephone to book a table . Tried numerous times during the week. The system then automatically redirects you to a very painful booking on telephone system where you elect a time set in 15 min slots. You chose a slot, it then says nope busy try another, so you try another and 5 goes later it says nope you can’t have that time. As a busy person I found the whole experience a total waste of my time and won’t be trying to book again. It’s a shame as the food is lovely at The Fox and have been several times over the years, but I’m sorry unless you change the **** booking system and start answering the phone we won’t be going again for the forseable. My time is too precious than to waste on the booking system or trying to get a response from a pub.. a shame."

"The service was very poor. We arrived there really looking forward to a nice meal out but the service was appalling. We arrived there and got sat at a table that was dirty. The waiters passed by us many times without taking our order. My daughter had to get up and get them to come to us every time we needed something. The soup that I got was served cold and the waiter's fingers were in the bowl of my soup. It took 45 minutes for prawn crackers to arrive as well as our drinks. They got the food that we ordered wrong and there was a waiting time of 1 hour and 30 mins even though the restaurant was literally empty. Please do not go here. It was not an enjoyable meal. Our drinks were served but mainly filled with ice and no beverage at all."

"first visit in a year, this restaurant was earlier one of my favorite and very good service and environment, unfortunately it has now deteriorated. literally for 7.30 a.m. on Saturday and at arrival we were put into the bar to eat what was. very loud surrounded by loud annoying people so a conversation between my part and I was difficult. the waiter was a little short at the limit. the Krug crackers are now charged and expensive. the portions were still delicious, but small and very badly presented (especially the salad) compared to my previous visit. waited for 35 minutes to gloomy and had to ask again and again about the bill. sad to say, I'm not sure I'm going back!"

"Very disappointed with the food from here. All the curries were just watery slop with boiled meat and veg in. Perhaps I ordered wrongly but there was very little to distinguish them apart from that one was incredibly spicy. Appetisers were fine but nothing to write home about. Thai fish cakes were dry and mushy. Perhaps I just don't like Thai food... I really don't understand why anyone would order this over a Chinese as you get far more for your money and much more variation... Unfortunately I will not be going back."

"I eat here every time I visit my grandson normally every 6 weeks tonight the food was great and service was going well till our main course waited a while for it all to come out wasn’t asked if we wanted dessert tried to get waiters attention to order coffee but they were to busy chatting. Gave up in the end and went to bar for bill. Girl who was dealing with this did give us £15 off a £130 bill and apologised. Think next time we here we try a new place ."

"what a nice place to go for a meal. when they go into it feels inviting and the decor is simply beautiful. service was fast and informative about certain dishes and how to eat them. always checked to make sure we were in order and to top-up all drinks we needed. eating was some of the best thais I had for a long time. my seafood panang curry had a heat that built in the run of time, but was not exaggerated and the fragrant made my mouthwater with each spoon. all courts were well represented. the menu is extensive and of amazing quality, there is a story about the owner history that is a good read. all the elements on the menu have an allergy button that made there with a milk allergy very easy and easy to dinning. worth a visit. we are looking forward to our next visit."

"Me and my girlfriend had plans during the weekend and we had to get a Thai. It’s simply my way to celebrate songkan (Thai New Year) Walking into Thai 1 I greeted the staff with a traditional ‘Sawadee khap’ and I expected the same treatment in return but I did not. I was very disappointed. However, we were directed to our table, we ordered or drinks and accompanied with a complimentary bowl of prawn crackers. A bowl with a mix of Thai and Chinese prawn crackers. Being in Thai restaurant and being a proud Thai myself I felt disrespected with the presentation of Chinese crackers, (Of course there’s nothing wrong with that) And I totally understand from a business perspective that most people are familiar with Chinese crackers than Thai. This is a Thai restaurant there should not be anything else but Thai. Simple. I would not expect to eat at a Chinese and being presented with something Thai. However, we waited quite a while to order our food but it was worth the wait. My wonderful Girlfriend ordered a Thai classic Pad Thai and I ordered 2 Mains because It’s Thai new year. Red curry salmon and medium rare sirloin steak with a ‘Traditional’ Thai dip. The dip looked like what I had expected, just how my Mum makes it. But it was too sweet. It was meant to be a sauce that took me back to my Mums kitchen where we are sitting with our noses running while enjoying hot and spicy thai dip. The aesthetic of the restaurant was stunning, I kinda felt like I was home. The glass wall took me back to my home in Thailand. We paid the bill and thanked for having us. Also wishing the staff a very happy Thai new year. I will definitely will be returning."

"We were planning to book the restaurant for a family celebration with 32 guests, including one highchair and one wheelchair user. However, when we called on Sunday, July 9th at 5:25 pm, a staff member informed us that they did not have a ramp for the wheelchair user to access the restaurant. This lack of accommodation and the indifferent attitude of the staff member was disappointing and prevented us from booking the event. In all our years of dining out, we have never encountered such a situation – usually, staff are accommodating and provide a temporary ramp for wheelchair users. We felt let down by the staff's behavior and believe it goes against the principles of the Disabled Equality Act. On average, we spend £25-£30 per person, plus drinks, when we visit the restaurant. Our bill for the family celebration would have totaled around £950. We are surprised that the restaurant can afford to turn away customers, especially since our last two visits showed the restaurant nearly empty at 8 pm. We have decided to try a nearby restaurant that was recommended to us. Overall, we rate the curry at GIL as hit and miss."
