"My husband and I went here for a vegan dinner and we weren’t disappointed! We got the edamame beans, Tempeh satay and fried jackfruit for starters and they were all delicious (especially the jackfruit Then we had Pad Thai with tofu and Massaman curry with jackfruit and both were very tasty indeed! We were impressed with the whole menu and loved that nearly all the dishes could be made vegan by substituting meat for tofu, tempeh or jackfruit! I only wish more restaurants were like this. If you’re visiting Newquay definitely book a table here."

"We went to this restaurant for brunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, we only managed to get a table at 1:30pm, when brunch was about to end at 3:00pm. As a result, there were very few options left to choose from. The selection was quite limited, especially for breakfast items. The potatoes were almost gone, and there were no more muffins or potato buffers available. The advertisement mentioned that there would be meat and fish options for brunch, but the only meat available was pork trunks and small roast pieces. The only fish option was salmon to be eaten with bread. The sausages looked like they had been sitting out for a while. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch."

"We had an amazing meal here on Wednesday and our group of eight people were all spoilt for choice! We were welcomed very warmly and really looked after. I was very relieved to see a childs menu, which my 6 year old loved! We all shared a mixed starter, with the satay being my favourite but everything was delicious! The wine was ice cold too, something that rarely happens! Our mains were absolutely amazing, we shared a few different curries and sweet and sour dishes and a truly delicious coconut rice. I cant wait to go back for the stunning food and the warm service."

"The place is gorgeous! They care about every detail down to the lighting. The staff are knowledgeable about what can be made vegan, just ask. They will change things to your liking. The food was presented in the most gorgeous plating like at a 5 star restaurant. It tasted delicious. "Came here with another couple for dinner on the Friday before the bank holiday. Great to see Covid19 measures in place staff wearing masks/visors temperature checks upon arrival. Had the mixed Thai starter which was delicious the chicken cashew nut stir fry for mains and tried jasmine rice which was beautiful. My husband had a duck green curry which was nice but they'd left the skin on which wasn't crispy so texture wise, wasn't great but the rest of the meal was really good. Would definitely come back here."

"We visited on consecutive nights on a Thursday and Friday. All three of us had a stir fry the first night. It was simply superb and one of the most satisfying meals any of us have had for some time. The next night, two of us repeated the choice, I chose the Red Duck Curry. The curry is one I have a lot in Australia and was one of the best I ever tasted. Everyone's meal was again delicious. However, the level of service was out of this world. Smiling, helpful and always available staff, who even dress in traditional Thai clothing at the weekend. What an experience. Will be back for sure"

"It still keeps its Hampshire charm as a Pub, with a great bar and roaring log fire in the Winter months and the food is mouth-wateringly good and pretty good value as well and served by a happy and charming group of staff. I would and have recommended it to my friends as a great country pub that serves great food. The only thing I was not too happy about and being crippled with Arthritis, was the Car Park across the road that has no lighting of a night time and is in pitch darkness, so therefore making it hard to see where you are going."

"Poor Customer Service I was shocked and other customers around were shocked to the point one couple started apologising on behalf of the waiter who shouted at me for just reminding them of the chilli oil I ordered. I was actually a little scared and...wanted to just walk out of the restaurant, not eating the food I ordered. The couple next to me said this particular waiter has been like that all afternoon. Good is splendid and I’ve visited this restaurant a few times and the customer services has always been terrible but this time, it as really bad and I am never returning to this restaurant. I know it means nothing to them because they are very busy restaurant and wouldn’t lose anything if just me- a one customer stops going there. I just feel this wrong and customers should not be treated as though they are asking for favours. I am still shocked at their poor customer service and hope they train their waiters. Because there are people who would creat scenes when treated this way. It doesn’t look good for this beautiful restaurant."

"I've eaten a lot of excellent Thai food, but this truly was the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Everything tasted home made, high quality and cooked to perfection. They use local seafood in many of their dishes and it is also a family owned restaurant. Staff were also so happy to answer my questions about the menu. "Visited last weekend in the glorious weather. We were turned away from the Wetherspoons because we didn't have an app well it was their loss, I hope they go bust, times are hard and you can't afford to turn customers away. We came across to...the Irish bar because my husband is and couldn't walk very far, why we have never noticed this bar before I do not know. We sat in the beer garden and was waiter ed on ,we were made to feel very welcome , the wine was cheaper than most places and it was good wine too not like the rubbish across the road. To top it all they were playing good music in the back ground too, this will be the place to visit the next time we're in St Annes. Well done Shillaylee."

"Songkran are now on the 3rd lot of owners since lockdown and the new ones are excellent! The previous was a bit bland and before that was good, so bear this in mind when reading reviews below. I had green chicken curry with Jasmine rice on my first June visit (I always ask for less chicken and more vegetables) the flavours were amazing! We also had Garden rolls to share as a starter and the freshness of the herbs was obvious. I went again 13 days later and had the Chicken Larb salad with sticky rice; again the freshness of ingredients came through in spades! This was too much for me to eat in one sitting, so I took some home and it made a great addition to a salad a couple of days later We went again on Sunday and this time I had the Pad Thai (chicken) and shared spring roll starter. Whilst Pad Thai is not highly spiced, it had lovely flavour and the optional ground chillis combined with the peanuts to give another delicious meal. We will be going back!"

"What a fantastic evening we've had at Suan Thai. The service and food was excellent. Really good banter with the waiters. They created us a bespoke starter platter as there were 7 of us. Drinks were flowing and food was lovely and hot and very tasty. What a surprise to receive a birthday cake from the restaurant. Such a nice gesture. We will certainly be back. "Went back to Anong Thai for the first time since Covid. Today I realised just how much I have missed proper Thai food. Really good setup with both indoors and outdoors weather proof heated area (See photos). Can't praise it enough. Try the Sticky rice...and Mango. It was a real surprise and such a delicious finish to a fantastic fried Sea bass with chili and garlic etc. They started doing Buba Tea style fruit drinks which the kids loved. The setup is great for big famiy get togethers we booked an early table at 6pm and it was quite quiet when we went with no one sat right next to us or anything. Great evening and food that I shall be banging on about for the next month or two."

"We booked a table with our son to celebrate him going off to university and to round off the end of a very pleasant holiday. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table after perusing the menu. The first course arrived quickly and was delicious, the main course quickly followed and again all meals were very nice. My son had the controversial lobster salad and pronounced it delicious. The restaurant was beginning to now get quite busy but the staff serving were efficient in bringing the dessert menu unfortunately that's were the service went down hill. Though the staff were very busy I eventually had to ask the waitress to take our desert order after 20mins. She was very apologetic a quickly took our orders. My son had fancied to chocolate fondant but as it was a 20min wait for it, decided against it having already had timely wait for our order to be taken, The desserts arrived after nearly 25mins (he might as well have gone for it after that wait and was disappointed in his chocolate brownie sundae and described it as distinctly average).After having dined in this restaurant before, I was very disappointed in the service we received this time around/The food its self was lovely but pricey and II'm sorry but if I'm paying good money I want good service as well as good food!"

"I just wanted to share how fantastic Suda’s service was last night. Unfortunately, they were so busy which resulted in our takeaway delivery being quite delayed. After waiting a good while we called up to see if the order had left yet if not we were contemplating cancelling as we were quite hungry by then. However, they reassured us that our order was just leaving the kitchen and would soon be on its way.. and that they would reduce the price by £10 (which was only £23 in the first place). Fair enough they rescued this little hiccup and we were impressed that we had bagged a bargain.. but my god the food made up for this!!!!! It was literally THE best tasting Thai takeaway I’ve ever experienced. Thank you Suda! We’ll sure be back"

"absolutely love sabai sabai. can never blame that. as a walk on the bank holiday Monday, but I very much propose to always book online. we were just happy they weren't so busy. we had the pad see ew with huh and the talapia with steamed rice. (the rice is a price) strongly recommended. the only reason why sabai does not get 5* this time is pure because of the lack of customer service. the waitress found that we were very out of hand and made us uncomfortable wondering if we wait (15 minutes when I asked) this was the same time when she came to order drinks. she literally took a massive break, shroff and said, "I guess so." when we got our food, which was very fast, she checked us when she was quickly pushed to the front door without breaking! at the end we just got the attention of the other server who waited for 4 other tables just to get a drink and pay. Now I'm going to point out that I've been here many times and never had bad cs. this trip really threw us down."
