"I gave this pub 5-stars for a series of reasons. first, it is a real old-scool-sub that refreshes among all fake chains pubs. second, it is a great location, a large beer garden that is a crisp spot on the river, with benches directly to the water. third, good selection of drinks always served quickly, which is made with hospitality staff in so short supply since covid. and last but not least, eating is also excellent. we took my little boy to the lunch last week, his part of the nuggets, chips and he was on the ground. we had tapas, which was beautiful, we will definitely be more frequent."

"We were unexpectedly blown-away by the food at this delightful, unassuming restaurant. The menu is 'world fusion ' and everything we had was creatively conceived and expertly executed. The Thai chicken curry was one of the finest I 've enjoyed. Great cocktails too especially my frozen margarita. The small courtyard garden is a pretty haven, and everyone was super friendly and welcoming, including to our dog. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to the South West."

"we have traveled over 3 hours today and booked here how the website has shown so many possibilities! I absolutely love thai curries. green, massaman especially! it is our jubilee-waking and hubby selected here based on the menu online. Unfortunately we were told all, curries are not vegan now, as the cook decides that they need fish sauce or garnel bits to make them taste better. left on the main menu was noddles, raw or fried rice. ah. for thai curry loves me, 3.5 hours drive with the promise of a green curry awaits me. . I had 2 ways to weep or go! I went too scary for the rice as a slutty noodle in publicity! it has specified spicy fried rice on the menu. it was pale and oily in reality. to say that I am horrified is an understatement. we went by 2 Indians and one Chinese so that my advice would book one of them!"

"We frequently travel from Littleborough to enjoy a meal here, and we are always pleased with our experience. The staff consistently provide a warm and friendly welcome, regardless of how busy they are, and the food is always delicious. The restaurant is situated in a picturesque location by the canal and is very affordable. There are also plenty of nice pubs nearby where you can grab a few drinks afterwards."

"Our meal at the Navigator was just as delicious as we remembered. Booking online was easy and the welcome (back) was genial. Under the present restrictions, dining is in a marquee festooned with lights and the full menu is available. We enjoyed piping-hot homemade spring...rolls and prawn toasts followed by fragrant Panang Gai (chicken fillet with coconut, red peppers, onion and chilli) and a mild (by request) King Prawn dish from the chef's specials menu. Our host even remembered that one of us couldn't have cucumber! Thank-you."

"I wish I could have stayed at the WH for more than one night. The warm welcome upon arrival and confirmation of our dining arrangements set the tone for a great stay. The first floor accommodation required some caution when accessing, with a narrow and steep staircase, but assistance was readily available if needed. My room was warm and cosy, located at the rear of the building with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, which better suited my needs, and was spotlessly clean with everything in working order. The restaurant was busy on the Bank Holiday Monday evening, but the service was excellent and the quality and presentation of the dishes were exceptional. Breakfast offered a wide selection of dishes to accommodate different tastes, from Continental to a Full on Yorkshire breakfast. The staff were helpful, efficient, and not intrusive. Checking out was simple, but leaving so soon for a long journey home was a shame. I hope to return for a longer stay if the opportunity arises."

"Ordered a takeaway at 7pm and was told it would be ready at 8pm. Arrived at 8pm and was told it was not ready yet but they asked me to pay for the order. Waited another 30mins while they served 2 other takeaway orders and was then told they would start cooking our food. I could not wait any longer and got a refund. Totally unacceptable on a Sunday night/mothers day when you have hungry children at home. They should have been honest and said they we too busy or just cooked the food so it was ready at 8pm. Won't be going back."
"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sabai Sabai, and I can confidently say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, instantly transporting us to Thailand with its beautiful decor and soothing atmosphere. The service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our server took the time to explain each dish and offered excellent recommendations based on our preferences. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was a perfect blend of flavors, fresh ingredients, and authentic Thai spices. We started with the Tom Yum soup, which was bursting with vibrant, tangy flavors. The Pad Thai was the best I've ever had, with perfectly cooked noodles and a delightful mix of textures. The Green Curry was another standout, rich and creamy with just the right amount of heat. For dessert, the Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Overall, Sabai Sabai exceeded all our expectations. The combination of exceptional service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere makes it a must-visit. Whether you’re a fan of Thai cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning soon!"

"Best restaurant ever! Me and my partner visited here whilst on holiday in York as it was near our hotel. The staff were excellent from the minute we walked in friendly and attentive. We went for the early bird menu. We shared the vegetable spring rolls and sweetcorn cakes which were very tasty. For mains we had the veg and tofu railway fried rice and the Thai red chicken curry. We both said it’s the best Thai food we’ve ever had! We had ice cream for dessert, they had some interesting flavours including yuzu and Thai tea which were both lovely! If you’re in York you need to go here! We will be back!"

"[READ THIS IF YOU DON 'T WANT TO WASTE MONEY) You definitely feel thirsty after the meal as the food are oily and salty. Food quality are bad, not traditional Thai food. No service at all. The staff just ignore my desk as we finished our dish, no one come and clear our table. Poor Service! One more note, make sure to check the bill as they include service charge in the bill. The all you can eat just cost £19.9 per each but they input £1 additional service charge per head in the bill, which is £20.9. When we questioned the staff what is happening, they said this is a optional service charge and we have a choice to not pay the £1 per head. This made me consider the waitress is untruthfulness which mandatory the guest to pay for it. Very very disappointed experience. I definitely won 't eat this shop as there are lots of choice in Trafford Centre."

"Just driven 200 miles so thought we would get a take away and found this one 4 miles away. It was Sunday evening and parking was right outside. It was very busy and I am more used to ordering Chinese food, I explained this and picked a chicken with sweet and sour sauce and a crispy chicken with oyster sauce, egg fried rice and crispy duck pancakes with sauce. It took about 10 mins which was good. We drove the 4 miles to our accomadation and dished it up but it was cold so had to microwave. They had given me plain rice instead of egg fried rice, There were only 3 tiny, and i do mean tiny, duck pancakes but they just seemed like the veg ones you buy in supermarkets, The crispy chicken was not crispy in any shape or form, it was the same as the other chicken dish. The vegetables were very nice in both dishes but the sauces were very watery, maybe Thai food is like that. There was no discount for take away so it was quite an expensive meal, Other people were having the buffet which I'm sure is better value but we had our dog with us so that wasn't an option for us. I wouldn't go there again"
"I loved the ambiente, especially the bridge and pond with fishing! it is a beautiful note to the restaurant. service was great, and the staff was friendly and attentive, but the cuddles were a bit over boiled and hard, except the other dishes were as expected. I was impressed by the Pandan chicken wrapped in banan leaves when that was so tender."

"When my husband and I first moved to Dundee, we were dying for some Thai food. We could find some, but whether it was good or not was debatable. Hubby found this place on a whim and went in. He loved it. When I came back to Dundee, I had my doubts when he kept raving about how wonderful this place was. It was fabulous. It went beyond my wildest expectations. Service was good, the place is clean and very welcoming. The owner was an absolute sweetheart and even though it was the middle of winter, I asked her for a Thai iced tea...forgetting that I am no longer in the USA and the Brits don't like iced tea. She was surprised yet pleased I knew what it was and that I wanted it! Wherever I go for any Thai restaurant, I get pad thai or their yellow curry potato soup...I decided to stick to pad thai with chicken and shrimp. That had to be the most flavorful meal I had ever had in terms of Thai food. I truly enjoyed my entire experience there. So much so, I went back a second time and a third time it was consistent. Thumbs up from me. Hubby can't stop raving about the place to our friends in Dundee...I miss our time in Scotland and hope we can return again especially for the yummy food here."

"Hidden away on the bustling A22, this small gem is definitely worth a visit. The restaurant offers authentic "home cooking" from a well-established family business. While it may not be the most stylish or modern, the quality of the food more than makes up for any lack of ambiance. It's recommended to make a reservation, as the restaurant has a limited number of tables and is often frequented by regulars. Service is available for takeout as well."

"Good food, good beer, very busy but food served hot and with good grace. My choice was not available so I chose vegetarian lasagne, but what arrived certainly wasn 't vegetarian. Was very nice, but I suspect a proper vegetarian would have been very vocal at the error. All on all, very good, food was plentiful and good value. Good surroundings too without any suggestion of haste in departing. Very enjoyable meal. Definitely come again. Update: many years on, doesn 't change. Still very good value, no further vegetarian upsets, bingo nights VERY popular. I 'm not a regular but always very satisfied with going there. Only issue isn 't their fault, but no longer dog friendly (guide dogs etc excepted). It 's a national decision, managers having no discretion. Was sitting outside another branch on the pavement (Edinburgh Waverley) and was told to leave!! Just being aware. All in all a decent place to stop for an evening of conviviality. Hawick is small and having a 'Spoons ' here is a welcome asset."
