"Food ok but not Stellar Artichoke and truffle salad small, zucchini frites a bit limp and venison main very small sea bass perfect Service really slow 50 mins from sitting to starters…having chased Not worth the 15% service charge added Private event was going on one suspected we were second fiddle Room had really bad draft in it bordering on cold Table next to us had to be reseated as they were too cold No idea why they went for open kitchen style in such a small dining room but when the kitchen staff and chef calling out orders is louder than the guests that’s an issue Probably won’t return"

"My partner and I went to this restaurant for our anniversary meal and had a reservation on a Saturday at 12:30. The first 45 minutes were quiet as we had the place to ourselves, which we enjoyed as it can get pretty loud when it's busy. The service was fast and friendly, and one of the waiters even brought us a complimentary Mac and cheese, which was a nice gesture. As a special treat for our anniversary, we were given a free glass of Prosecco each, which was a thoughtful touch. The food was fantastic - the oysters we ordered were large and fresh, served with a delicious salad and vinaigrette. The calamari we had as a starter was also lovely. We opted for the lobster combo, and the lobster rolls were delicious with a generous amount of fish filling. Although we couldn't finish all the food, we felt it was worth the price for the quality and portion size."

"I didn't realize this restaurant was in a hotel, but we figured out our direction and made it in time for our reservation all the same. Laurel on the Roof is a cozy restaurant with panoramic views of London. We went for brunch and I had the full English breakfast and my husband had the French Toast, both of which were fabulous. We paired the meals with mimosas and other breakfast cocktails, which were well balanced. The wait staff were attentive but not overly enough to bother you. We felt free to enjoy our meal at a leisurely place. It was a great meal to end our trip to the UK."

"Vegan food wasn’t without milk so couldn’t have the vegan meal If it is advertised as vegan, it should be vegan not then altered so that two components don’t go together. Sat totally separated from everyone else, waiter refused to move us despite there being lots of room. We were only a table of 2 and sat in our own, cut off section. Our friends invited us to join their long table, this was refused. No vegan puddings. One waiter was very helpful with my dietary requirements. Food arrived but chips were swiftly removed as apparently they weren’t for me and new ones arrived some time later. Overall, a really disappointing meal."

"Decided to go to Christophers for the brunch we had heard that the chocolate brioche French toast was worth trying. It was yummy ! I wasn't able to finish mine but I think most people would be able to. We had coffee and tea also. We did contemplate ordering the pancakes but we were too full! It wasn't too busy at all, considering it was half term.... it was a Wednesday though so perhaps that's why. We did call ahead as we were running 5 minutes late, the staff were understanding. The service was quick and the vibe inside was quite chilled. I do think they should have a better drinks menu and offer more savoury vegetarian options for breakfast as they only had avocado on toast. Another couple left in a huff as they wanted pancakes and they were only available on the weekend menu. Maybe this is something that could be adjusted? Other than that a good experience, I would visit again!"

"My sister and I visited Gatsby for their Hip Hop Brunch and were so impressed. We’ve been to a few bottomless brunches in London but Gatsby was definitely of a higher standard. The food was delicious and really filling, the unlimited drinks on offer were great (especially the Paloma and the Daiquiri , and for £26 if felt like great value for money. Staff were the perfect level of attentive as they came to our table regularly to check if we wanted another drink (we managed to get through 5 each in 90 minutes! . Once our 90 minutes were up, we stayed another half an hour just to finish off our remaining drink, so it was nice to not be rushed out the door. The banana bread was delicious, and for main we both had the roti Sri Lankan stir fry (with chickpeas and it was amazing – such great flavours and textures. I would definitely order that stir fry again! We shared our sides, the Syrian patatas bravas and the fried aubergine – would recommend both of those as well. The music was really good too, although we didn’t pay too much attention to it as we were chatting away. Can’t think of anything that could improve the brunch. We’ll definitely be going again in the near future! (PS amazing vegan options on both the brunch menu and regular menu! ."

"Disappointing. Has there been a change of chef recently? I used to go to polpetto regularly a year or two ago but I went back today for lunch and couldn't recognise anything on the menu. No maple tart for dessert for example and the waiter had never heard of it. It used to be one of their signature dishes. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't as great as I remember it"

"The pizza was excellent, but unfortunately, the service and atmosphere were really disappointing."
