"service 5 , drinks 4 eat 2.5 we were very warmly welcomed by whom I suspect is the owner, and we sit in a beautiful private area on the side of the beginning. he explained the menu and was great. we started drinking, I had a glass champagne, 1st cross, and my wife had a chablis. it went from there to the hill. I ordered the three course prix mixes, lobster filled ravioli, whole lobster cut into slices, and driven off. the lobster stuff was the most fishy tasting “lobster” I ever tasted, it had to be mixed with old fish. the main dish, the lobster was hard and again fishy tasting. the worst part, unless I misunderstood the discount was advertised that we only get a discount on the plate of my wife. at least my farewell for dessert was good."

What a find! Just happened to see this on the fork when getting into town late in the day. Reserved and walked from train station. Food was excellent and the service warm and friendly. Met the chef who even bid us farewell personally. The deconstructed lobster was wonderful as were the souffles. Would definitely return. If you are near Gare Lyon this one is worth checking out. Also near the Promenade Plantee.

A warm welcome on arrival. And we were seated at a table in the window. (Some very loud Americans then also arrived and all night you could hear their running commentary funny how some people love to be heard Menu's only in French, however the chef spoke excellent English and assisted in understanding. We had foie gras to start which was very tasty and served with fresh bread (expensive at 28euro for the size). And for main course my husband had a steak and I had the tuna. Both dishes were okay but after two fabulous meals (A Petit Bistrot and Les Filles both in Rue Mouffetard) at half the price, we really found A la Fregate disappointing and expensive for what you had. The wine list started...
