"The food had just come from the fridge so cold it tasted of nothing. The tea pot lid would not open so unable to stir the tea. The cake was stale. The clotted cream was so cold it would not spread, and a very minimal amount. This was a birthday gift to me and I feel it was very poor. There was no service at all nobody ."

the afternoon tea sandwiches were not fresh,as they were still cold from being in the fridge,also the scones were rather stale.overall very bad for such a lovely hotel.We got married there in 2014,it was so much better.

it was my mother's birthday, so we had this afternoon. eating was fantastic, but there was not much choice for sitting somewhere and I was a bit disappointed that we were not sitting near a window to take into the landscape.

I highly recommend this place for afternoon tea. It is a beautiful setting and everything was perfect. The service was great and the cakes and sandwiches were delicious. I often go for afternoon tea with my mum as a special treat, and this was the best experience we've had so far.

this was our 3rd time of visiting for afternoon tea...........have not been for a couple of years since the last one............wasn't disappointed..........top marks as always. We have had afternoon tea at the RITZ before....................but Langrtys far far better. Highly recommend.
