the afternoon tea sandwiches were not fresh,as they were still cold from being in the fridge,also the scones were rather stale.overall very bad for such a lovely hotel.We got married there in 2014,it was so much better.

it was my mother's birthday, so we had this afternoon. eating was fantastic, but there was not much choice for sitting somewhere and I was a bit disappointed that we were not sitting near a window to take into the landscape.

The character building was beautiful and charming, the afternoon was lovely, and the portion sizes were just right. Every aspect was nearly perfect. The scones were absolutely delicious, I would rate them 10/10! I will definitely be returning soon.

The restaurant was advertised as being very romantic, but unfortunately, that was not the case. The food was good, but the atmosphere was chilly and the background music was quite depressing. When I mentioned the temperature to a staff member, he simply agreed with me, which was not the response I was hoping for.
