"My wife's family took us her for lunch and the food was very very good. For appetizers we had a cured meat and cheese plate, roasted potatoes,fried zucchini flowers,tripe,frittata, cipollini, cicoria and beans, tiny meatballs, and rolled stuffed eggplant. We probably had one or two more appetizers but by this time I was going a food coma from all of the great tastes. A homemade pasta with tomatoes and mushrooms, that was out of this world. And finally chicken, beef and sausage. WAIT there's more a salad and fruit and coffee, and limoncello. With a local red wine,It was an fantastic lunch. You won't go wrong at Agriturismo Petrosa."

While visiting relatives in Castrovillari, they treated us to this wonderful restaurant. Antipasti consisted of about 9 different offerings- cured meats, cheese, tripe, eggplant, potatoes, cicoria with beans, cipollini, frittata, and fried zucchini flowers. THEN the pasta course of strozzaprete with tomatoes and mushrooms. If that wasn't enough there was a meat course of perfectly grilled and seasoned chicken, steaks and sausage. Of course salad was served, then fruit, coffee, limoncello and bitters. What a delicious meal! Oh, I almost forgot....all this served with a wonderful homemade wine. Time for a nap.
