I booked this place a month or so in advance of my visit to Tuscani after reading the reviews on trip advisor. Genuinely really disappointed as I got my hopes up for a great dining experience to celebrate my birthday. The food was average at best. Actually found the cold soup hard to eat and the pasta dish really bland. On a positive note the food was incredibly fresh as the host was picking leaves in the garden just before seating us. That I do appreciate and also their home made wine was great! Finally the dog was the best thing about the evening. So cute!

This place was absolutely delicious. The family is so sweet while mom cooks, dad and daughter are serving. They make everything from scratch! 2 homemade bottles of wine red AND white! freshly baked bread, pasta, veggies from their garden. Such a beautiful setting surrounded by locals, the sun setting and the gorgeous Tuscan fresh air. Highly recommend this place to every single person we speak to. Make a reservation since space is very limited. Don't walk, run there for dinner. We asked if they could make us lunch to go for our plane ride the next day they thought about it and decided to do it for us. One of the best meals I have ever had, sitting next to the olive trees, watching the geese and chickens. The food was superb and fresh and imaginative. Tempura of fresh vegetables, sage leaves and courgette flowers; 3 sorts of goats cheese drizzled with local honey; Sardinian ravioli filled with potatoes, soft cheese and fresh herbs; pieces of quiche, chickpeas cooked with greens, roasted vegetables and tomato salad, followed by a bowl of delicious, very finely sliced white cabbage. The tables of this place are truly arranged in the farmyard, where a huge tree of sweet figs stands majestically, from Podere di Lorenzo, the head of the family... it is family run, you can taste the typical Tuscan dishes rigorously made with organic products from the garden, harvested daily. The menu changes every day. My partner and I were visiting Tuscany last month to celebrate my 30th birthday and found this stunning place on TripAdvisor. It was Assumption Day and we were having difficulty finding a restaurant that was open for dinner. Even though they were fully booked for the evening, the Rizzotti family displayed tremendous generosity and hospitality in setting up an additional table for us.
