"Last night was the first time I had eaten at the hotel restaurant whilst there for a four day stay! The pumpkin soup was one of the best I have tasted, it had a very slight curry flavour which always helps lift a mild vegetable. The Zander fillet was also very good, well cooked and seasoned accompanied with pasta, cream sauce spinach and small vegetables! I would recommend it! The only downside there was no English menu, unlucky if like me your German is non existent! The waiter tried to help but sometimes it is better to have a description on the menu!"

"Wir kommen seit über 10 Jahre regelmäßig mehrmals im Jahr in die einst als Strauße angefangene Martinshof-Schänke. Das der Besitzer den Status der Strauße aufgegeben hat und eine "normale" Gaststätte daraus gemacht hat, störte uns bislang nicht, da vom Flair alles geblieben war. Nun sind wir nach der Winterpause erneut zu einem Essen, verbunden mit einem Schoppen Wein hier eingekehrt. Nicht nur die Speisen, das Flair und die Qualität hat sich geändert, sonder auch drastisch die Preise (1 Flasche Mineralwasser 4,50€). Das alles teuerer wird ist uns klar, aber nicht gleich in diesem Maße. Bei einem Spagelpfännchen, hier bitte den Begriff Pfännchen wörtlich nehmen, waren sage und schreibe 2, in Worten zwei Stückchen Spagel drin, jede Menge Bratkartoffeln mit viel Sauce. Auf die Nachfrage bei der Bedienung, die Rücksprache mit der Küche nahm, bekamen wir zurAntwort: Das ist halt so, bisher hat sich noch niemand darüber beschwert. Vielleicht sollte man besser Kartoffelpfännchen mit einem Hauch an Spagel in die Speisekarte schreiben, und das für stolze 15,90€! Das war für uns erstmal der letzte Besuch der einst so geliebten Martinshof-Schänke!!! Schade!!!"

"Actually, the wooden elephant was just a recommendation from our neighbors. Because after a long time we were finally child-free again, my husband and I wanted to use the time to eat well. The preorder was very easy on the Internet. The service was very friendly and friendly and the food served fresh and fast. The price was certainly slightly increased, but for that the food was also very fresh and delicious. We were also very well advised to the wines, because as a non-winner it is not so easy to find the right wine from a crowded wine map. For us it is clear that we were not here for the last time and will certainly come back."

"In memory of the old times we returned to the angel today. When the children were small, we stayed here more often. The restaurant is located on a densely driven street, but the guest house is absolutely quiet in the backyard. That was always very nice. It is still managed by the Unverzagt family, now in the next generation. We were welcomed by the hostess very kindly, the selection of regional, bathing dishes on the map was great. Had forgotten what tombs were, there was acid liver and carving. They're roast potatoes, so I decided to go to Latin with Champignonsteak. My husband wanted the Senior Putencurry with pineapples and rice. There was a side salad for both dishes. 14 and 11 euros, these are reasonable prices. Fresh trout was served in the neighboring table. Looks great, but I don't like fish heads on the plate. It tasted great, host and cook at the same time, came to the table and asked if everything was okay, what we like to hunt. It was to be checked again."

"Unfortunately, there are no 0 stars to forgive, the store would have deserved it. A Paprikapizza and a Cordon Bleu were ordered from the friteuse with pommes and salad. We got a pizza where 3 pieces of paprika were on it and the dough tasted sour, just like the Cordon Bleu was in sauce (which wasn't there) and the pommes were soaky. NOW!"
