"The smell percolated the air as I walked through the Glass Arcade in the bustling St Nicholas Market. I just had to stop for lunch and I am glad I did. The menu offers an excellent selection and my Moroccan lamb was superb. The sweet lamb was backed by couscous, chick peas, potatoes, carrots, puy lentils and prunes. Every forkful was a joy and all for £6.50. The slick service added to the experience and seating is either inside an atmospheric area it was packed or outside on stools at mosaic tables. There is obviously a lot of repeat business, a testament to the quality, and if in town don't miss this place. It is only minutes from the Centre Promenade and well worth the walk up the hill."

Excellent tasty lunch of lamb tagine and couscous plus mint tea for £8. Great atmosphere inside the tent but there is also outside seating in the alley way outside St Nicholas market.

Popped in as its a favourite for my girlfriend... very tasty food at a very cheap price and if theres room to sit down its a fantastic place to relax and eat. The decor is fantastic and food served very quickly. Great street food in the middle of St. Nicholas market. View menu

The food here is very good. I had to try a tasting plate of everything...the chicken with preserved lemon was particularly tasty. The man serving me (maybe the owner) was lovely. Open monday to saturday during the day at St Nicks Market. I would definitely eat here again...a very pleasant experience.

I opted for the take out because the place was too busy to sit down, that's a good sign always though, service was quick and I went for the lamb meatballs which were really tasty. Came with a handy plastic tub and was piping hot, cous cous and vegetables too. Very pleased and tasted pretty authentic. The price was ok for Bristol, a little high for street food in general though.

Amid the hustle and bustle of St Nicolas Market, lies Cafe Atlas. This is an Al a carte Moroccan cafe, with tables outside and takeway options. The menu is simple and delicious. I had lamb with cous cous which was devine. The beautifully cooked lamb was paired with plenty of vegetables, providing both eloquent taste and texture. The price of £6.50, represented good value for a very tasty plate of food. View menu

Great set up with communal tables in the middle of the market. When walking past we saw and smelt the food and felt we had to try it. On a busy Saturday lunchtime we had to hover for a few minutes to get a table. Sociable as you can't help but talk to the people next to you. Nice selection of lamb, chicken, fish and vegetarian options served with couscous and salad. Stocking value at £6.50 and a nice informal experience

Very authentic Moroccan eatery food delicious, communal seating. Lovely friendly waiters. Not an extensive menu but sufficient for both vegetarians and meat eaters. The lamb came with prunes and vegetables and harissa which was nice and spicey I had it with cous cous or rice was available. My friend had the falafel cold dish and she said it was delicious. Can certainly recommend the venue and food if in the market area.
