"when they were in meersburg (and they know a little about the prices in Germany), they know that this beautiful city is a bit expensive when it comes to eating. the meals here have the tendency to be a bit gourmet, and the prices look more Swiss than German. I was fully aware of this and tried to look for a place with decent eating and reasonable paving. my search led me to the Alemman village, a wine cellar with a tempting tag menu. the outer of the restaurant looks quite normal, maybe even boring, but when they go in, they discover a beautiful wine cellar that gives them the feeling of having crossed a time portal and being a few years back in time. the waiter was friendly and the service excellent. eating was delicious, better than expected, and the wee, oh the wee, was great. depending on where they come from, they will make the amount of wine per glass smile (it is a lot if they are not looking for an experience of the upscale kitchen, but for a good eating in a beautiful room, this is their restaurant. some to euro per person are enough to enjoy a sufficiently large dish (wine included. do not forget to give drink money, it is common in Germany. a last thing, this is a wine-growing area in Germany. I know if they think of Germany you think beer. you can get beer here, but don't be disappointed if it's nothing special. instead try the wein, trust me with this"

looked good from the outside, but eating was lukewarm and tasted like in the microwave. first I thought it was just me, but then I spoke to the person I had come with, and they thought just as much

we wanted to get away from the busy underground road. with a short and steep ascent the way up we found it. we only tried the flame-cake, it was in order. we were interested in rest and a pleasant atmosphere and found them

mateo, the previous review, led us here. what a sound, many thanks to the other reviewers. simple eating. not overpriced. good portion sizes. the wild in sharp sauce was a special highlight. great for dinner. super local wine and service

because the whole meesburg is only a big tourist trap, this is probably not worse than any other place here. but eating (this strange pizza) was frozen and served almost cold. friendly service. they only stop here when they are desperate (as we were)

we were looking for a late dinner and it is the rare place where the kitchen was open to the clock. for our child to ask for something that wasn't on the menu was no problem and was very tasty. good wine and eat for adults. very friendly and quick service

because of strong rainfalls we have landed in alemannen and what a beautiful surprise! the food was very good (hatte wobble roast) and the atmosphere is great! the staff is very friendly and eating in the cellar is like a time trip around hundreds of years. highly recommended

In Meersburg we have landed on the way back from Friedrichshafen. After an extensive tour in this beautiful city we decided to eat at the Almannen Torkel. The restaurant is not located directly on the lake, the ambience seemed cozy, it offered a good map and did not seem overpriced. That's exactly how it was: we chose soups, salads and a meat dish. Everything was rich, fresh and very tasty. A great price-performance ratio for Lake Constance definitely. If we come to Meersburg the next time, we will select this place. We sat in the covered entrance. Although the place was very well visited we were served flott and friendly.

decided to stop in meersburg for a late lunch, and had looked at us some places online, and when we arrived at our first choice, we found them closed, although they should have been open according to internet. many thanks to internet where we have eaten at the end of the day was so good. it was a glowing hot day, and the place looked closed, as everyone was out of the table, but we saw a sign standing on which they were open, and dared us in. there were also no customers inside, but we were thrilled by the cool of the dining room, since it was apparently dug out of the rocks and exactly what we needed to escape the heat. we had a nice, healthy lunch with traditional German dresses served wit...
