ALEX Berlin Sony Center

We had a really rich lunch we've choosen the german plateu with pork, sausages and other mears, german style sausages and potatoes. Big enough for five hungry people.

I was really happy with the staff, eating and drinking. well, it was a bit more expensive, but they need to look at the place where it is. I was there for the experience and I got it.

this place provides an excellent luxury breakfast for 30 euro for 2 persons including a glass of bubbles cava. There was more then enough and the quality of the food was very good. Too bad the coffee was not included as I drank 4...coffees which costed 4,5 euro each.

After a really disappointing experience at the Australian bar/restaurant in the Sony Centre we went to Alex. The staff were really friendly and on the ball asking if we needed anything more as our drinks got lower. The friendly Berlin service we remember from 3-4...years ago.

We ordered some food for dinner from the menu. Prices little bit above the mean of Berlin! The water was not in the menu. So... We ended up with 6.20 euro for the water!!! Almost more than the meal!! When we asked for explanation the...waiter (arrogant and impolite) just pretend to don't speak English....... What??? This is unacceptable! Not for the money but because it's unfair to take advantages on tourists! Don't go there!!!

If you are looking for somewhere for breakfast, try Alex in the Sony Center, Potsdamer Platz. Opens at 8am. It’s not fancy it is practical. continental buffet fruit, yogurt, meat, cheeses breads alongside cooked eggs, bacon and sausages a glass of orange...juice included. 2 of us had breakfast for a fraction of the € the hotel was charging and the food was the same! The staff are bright breezy and unassuming and the sparrows hop around looking for any crumbs.

My wife and I shared a meal at Alex Berlin and while the food good, As non German speakers we wer not offered an english menu (if one was available)nor offered any assistance with the contents of the german menu, in the end I looked...up the english version of the menu on their website. I had the schnitzel and my wite had pasta. it wasnt the best meal we had on our trip but equally wasnt the most expensive. the waiter did what he needed to do to serve us our food.. we didnt hang around for long after we sinished.

it was clear from the beginning that they didn't want us there, but we were hungry and tired to go so that we went in anyway. the waitresses had a really bad attitude and had some very snoring and had some convincing comments to several...us beyond that, eating as if it had been frozen and reheated in a microwave and it was also seriously overpriced. we also talked to some of our friends and teachers who had an equally bad experience. overall terrible experience, would not recommend anyone and I will certainly never come back even if I starve.

I do not recommend this restaurant! we were a few girls who were very hungry and just wanted to grab a quick bite. Although the personal of our appearance seemed canceled in the restaurant, we went in anyway because we were tired and not even found another place. the waitresses were arrogant and rude. they said to my friend hungry, huh? in a very condesctive way. not something you should tell everyone, especially not a customer. they tried to get us out of the restaurant quickly, and after the experience we talked with some of our friends who had "in the night before also had a bad experience in the alex berlin sony center.
