"these young people held their Michelin star just this month and their talent was reflected in many of their charming little plates. the three of us enjoyed the 8-course tasting menu with a 4-glass wine pairing, the latter of which was definitiw büffelte. service. very attentive and each court was presented by one of the chefs. the wee was poured by a young woman who was very knowledgeable. we found, however, that she spent too much time on our table talking about the wineries and winzers, instead of simply giving us a brief description of the wine. we were probably sitting there where we recorded a total of 20 minutes of weeping. maybe her style, but it was a bit disturbing for our conversation. it took about 3.5 hours to get through all 8 courses and it was a great experience. every penny worth! down is a short run of the dishes we enjoyed; the smoked aale and the fish were excellent! char with pumpkin, orange, saffron, amaranth sunchoke with kale, curdled egg, black chanterelle smoked eel with kartoffeln, speck, black truffle discs, leek lobster with fennel, pomegranate, hazelnut calf’s head, champignon, burdock root, fichte geflochte oxdar che"

it is hard to get a table in this restaurant and out good ground. if they are ready to eat a bit of money great eating in a beautiful atmosphere and have great wine to save, this is a place to go. the service. is excellent eating. the small menu always changes what makes it a great place to go regularly.

Finally the Nöthels have the Michelin Star they deserve. And know what? Nothing has change since they received it earlier this year, only the good is always getting better. The wine cellar is huge (although they still don’t have a wine menu) and the service...is outstandingly good. Very private atmosphere as well.

I have a 6-course tasting menu. at the beginning they offered 2 amuse Bouches.2 courses were exceptional carrot mousse with smoked egg and pork fillet with sweet. also very good desserts. I had 2 weine sublime supernatural white from moric austria nad classic ps from dobro. visit them really...worth and a bill relatiw low for such excellent dinning experiences.

I was recently a guest at a dinner held at Am Kamin. We had been driven out from Dusseldorf and it seems to me it is a little tricky to find ...... but what a find! The building is all authentic old-world charm. The service...gracious and professional. The young chef is very talented and his kitchen team and servers excellent. The chef is a friend of Andreas Bender who is one of Germany's new young winemakers. I suggest you order a bottle of Bender Riesling with your dinner...... guten appetite

This an unusual restaurant which is well worth a visit. There was no wine but the the waiter made recommendations and offered tastings before we made our choice. The choice was made with some trepidation because it was made solely on taste with no reference...to price but when we received the bill the price was less then €30 per bottle. Service and food were faultless. Desserts were unusual more like salads but delicious. I have never eaten anywhere quite like Am Kamin but I would be very happy to repeat the experience.

I ate twice at this restaurant at the recommendation of the owner of the little hotel and restaurant where I was staying. As everyone now knows, it recently got a Michelin star. Do NOT go with that in mind. It does not, in my view,...reach that level. However it is extremely reasonably priced and the staff, in particularly the woman who owns the restaurant, make me feel a sort of loyalty to the place. The dishes served were quite complex, but seldom reached the level they tried for. Something was missing. They were generally not hot. The many ingredients got lost. On the other hand, the wines served were very good and were priced lower than one would expect in a much simplier restaurant. The...
