Located aside the Route National we didn't expect this beautiful, cosy auberge/restaurant. The food was excellent, the service very friendly. Just one negative point: they didn't have their top white wine listed on the menu, so they came up with another bottle, which was mediocre at best. But beside that, just perfect!

Amazing food in a beautiful setting! We stumbled on this place on the way to Pont du Gard and are so so happy we did. My wife had the duck breast which was incredible (crispy skin and perfectly cooked)! I had the lamb chops which were incredibly flavorful (again perfectly cooked, great grill/char flavor)! Both came with incredible eggy rolls (almost similar to popovers in texture) and a delicious spinach soufflé. We sat on the beautiful patio which had lovely purple flowers overhead. It was idyllic and definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Can't recommend enough!! Finally FYI they don't speak English, but we speak almost no French and managed just fine.

For 2 years we have planned to eat at le Guigare and we finally managed it on the last night of our holiday last week. It was a delight. Walking in from the rather austere car park we suddenly found ourselves in a lovely shaded arbour under a huge wisteria. Four adults and two children were accommodated without a booking and we went through the aperitifs as we made our menu choices. The food was excellent; crevettes, tomato and mozzarella salad, lamb cutlets, salmon, entrecôte steaks followed by Crême brûlée, ice creams, coffee and digestifs.
