"From Bern a mere 15-minute-ride with the S-Bahn brings you to Rosshäusern and the pleasant countryside. As its name implies, Restaurant Bahnhof is located just opposite the train station. It offers very good food in an uncomplicated and relaxed atmosphere. The service was attentive and efficient throughout the dinner. The menu puts focus on seasonal produce and traditional Swiss specialties. I had some white and green asparagus as starter. They were served with Hollandaise sauce as well as a homemade herbs mayonnaise (to die for! . As main course I chose the catch of the day: zander fillet in a saffron sauce, served with asparagus. Very tasty and generous portion. As dessert I indulged myself with a refreshing rhubarb and strawberry parfait. The bill remained within Swiss (high price standards and amounted to CHF87. But given the very good food, I will most certainly come back."

Ich bin Nicola Schär Ich gehe ein paar mal im Jahr dort essen und war mit dem Essen sehr zu frieden und die Gesselschafft war auch sehr gut. Es ist sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet.

It is a mere 15-minute train ride from Bern and you are already in the countryside. I visited this typical Gasthof for the second time this year and again, the dinner was excellent. Thumbs-up to the tenant lady for her friendly and very attentive service. You really feel welcome as a guest. As starter the homemade meat terrine proved very tasty. As main course I chose a generous beef steak (200 grammes served with homemade noodles and, at a small extra cost, homemade truffle butter (to die for! . The steak was very tender and excellent. As dessert I indulged myself with a refreshing parfait served with plum compote. I am already looking forward to visiting again.
