"I had been here over the summer and enjoyed good food/beer/service. On passing through the city with my son, I thought I'd revisit. The food beer remain the same most enjoyable however we were unfortunate to encounter a waitress who could...have not been ruder, culminating with presenting me with the bill and a demand for a tip (demand being a polite word). We werent the only people to incur her ire (so it wasnt us) however its a shame to pay for nice food/drink and location and encounter rudeness. I will be back but will give this lady a wide berth."

The best beer in town. The restaurant looks like a brewery. The waiter told us a lot about brewing..

Visited on Sunday evening, where were a lot of people because of football game. Firstly we did not find a place, but then stuff helped us. So the stuff is very friendly. Service is nice and food was very tasty. Recommend it!

I had a nice evening here. it is a beautiful large old building and the house kitchen is excellent all the Saxon classics they expect. they burned their own beer on the ground and they sit under the huge copper stills where they are. a number of beer brands (based on distillates of beer that they brew). I can recommend the homemade meat cheese.

the first time disappointed! in the rule, eating is excellent at our favourite place, so close to our apartment, with its inviting beer garden at the elbe. the waiter was fast and efficient, clearly stressed, but he did it very well. the dish meat cheese of my man with bratkartoffeln) was juicy and tasty. my court was a great disappointment. the mixed salad is really delicious in the regular. Today the dressur was dirty and the wing livers that came with him were hard and dry and half of it went back to the kitchen:

we came across this place, based on the previous tripadvisor reviews and we were glad that we made the trip as the restaurant is located outside the center of dresden. our waiter spoke great English and was extremely helpful in recommending food choices, as well as...as explain the beer options they make themselves. we had the crispy pork and the pork steak with Gratin cheese and huh, both dishes were excellent, the homemade beer was also deafable! would recommend to make the visit to taste the food and beer as it is worth the trip.

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
