"Our experience in Bao Bao was very special. The terrace is surely Hamburg's best-coordinated construction site. In front of the house there is a scaffold that was transformed into outdoor gastronomy with plastic tarpaulins and Asian lamps. We had reserved ourselves outside, but there was no room when we came, so we put ourselves in the open window front overlooking the terrace. The restaurant is very small and narrow inside, but modern furnishings. The operation had all hands full to do, it took a long time to order, then the desired drink was out. Finally, the tapa manufacturer came before the drinks with spring and summer rolls, vegan shrimp and mango salad. We then ordered a main dish (fried veggie duck with vegetables and jasmine rice). We were placed in the middle of the table without comment. I expected one or two records to share it, it wasn't. The shell was declared a bit sharp, but relatively agitated. In the meantime, a cloudstorm began to flow over Hamburg. We wanted to get something in the table to avoid getting wet. If the waiter had closed the window front, we would have stayed dry, but we were not interested in the staff. We finally baked bananas and pancakes for dessert. Both were fine, the banana could have been crispy. Unfortunately there was no Vietnamese coffee in the menu. I don't recommend the Bao Bao anymore. When I sit inside, my minimum requirement is able to eat dry. The service is bad, for each order one had to call the waiter several times at the table, he did not come to ask ourselves whether we want something or whether we have become wet. The food is okay, but unfortunately not anymore. Since there are other purely vegan Vietnamese restaurants in Hamburg, I would advise to go to competitors. If you live in Bao Bao around the corner and are very hungry, you can eat there. If it was a special evening, I would definitely go somewhere else."

Hamburg, a port city in northern Germany, is known for its maritime heritage, vibrant culture, and local dishes like Fischbrötchen and Labskaus. It's a blend of old charm and modern vibe.
