"Last night my better everything and I headed for this restaurant, which I knew well but hadn't returned to in 15 years! After being seated in this elaborate rotund-open space restaurant and given a pot of Sangria, some homemade bread and rillettes and a bowl of green olives (included in the price), I went on my rediscovery expedition. Needless to say the charm was still very much there and I had great pleasure in being again introduced to its concept: diy mongolian salads (many different ingredients available buffet-style) which a pleasant gentleman then pours onto a hot plate and cooks for you. The next step is to create your own skewer - once again a great variety of marinated meats, ranging from shark to chicken, including kangaroo, beef, pork, turkey and king prawns! The giant and well-protected glass barbie allows you to just leave your creation over the coals safely (the skewers are numbered, remember yours) while you enjoy your other dish. Free help-yourself all-you-can-drink soft drinks available from a fountain, coffee and tea, dessert cart all sorts of sauces to enhance your plates, rice, gratin, ratatouille - all-you-can-eat formula for ONLY 39Euros per person; we found it was very good value. Excellent service, loud but warm atmosphere (not a place for a romantic dinner), mixed classes, ages, people obviously enjoying themselves, a great place to eat that both of us will warmly recommend. The only let-down? The desserts are very basic. A very minor let-down for us anyways, we don't have a sweet tooth!"

It was our 2nd time. The place is great if you are in large group. our 1st time was great but we were the group of 40. great Saturday night. However our 2nd time was nowhere near with regards of products. Ambiance is nice, however...More

Concept is funny, but this restaurant is not really a place where you will be delighted with the food. Beef meat is like having stones in your mouth. Everyone touch the meat before you'll put it on your stick for barbecue, and the plancha where you cook your vegetables is never cleaned, then you mix all the sauces of each client.Not really a tasty place!

Ok it is not Michelin star but nor does it pretend to be. You come here for the novelty of the dining method and for that is quite unique in this area. Came here for an evening meal and found most of the vegetables and the meats of quite good standard. The accompaniments were not to the same standard and quite limited, but the overall effect was quite nice and we enjoyed our evening. I don't quite understand some of the reviews. If you are not a meat lover or don't expect to eat copious amounts of meat, why would you choose to come to a Mongolian BBQ restaurant?

The restaurant needs something refreshing. Welcome is nice and the explanation how it works. Nevertheless, if it is overfilled, it is not easy to get your ingredients, put them to cook and wait. Can be a bit disturbing if you want a meal without standing up every 10 minutes. Just to know. Charcoals bag avoid getting ratatouille and other clothes. When I mentioned that, a lady said she needed this for the BBQ. Okay, but do they have to be stored between the client legs? funny answer not very customer oriented. Desserts were quite standard. Coffee machine not very powerful. Toilets without hand wash. The proposal is original and can please people who like this kind of restaurant.

Came with my family, the hostess was very nice and helpful. But my problem was with the food. To cook your own food, it takes a very long time to make sure it is cooked properly. You better know what you do and do not mix beef / seafood / chicken in the same spear or it will not be boiled properly (kew times). It's just a lot to think if I want to go to eat and just relax. Also the pages offered were Bland, no season, nothing fantastic. And the desserts, let's just say that nothing was done in the house, just from a bucket to a nice plate. Can't say everything was good, it was like eating canteen deserts. And the price was at the end very high for what you get. Very expensive... can you say...

The concept is quite simple. Either mix a dish full of vegetables and let them stir fried on a plancha or load your spit yourself then put the spits over the coal and let it cook away word of the wise: think about what you put on your spits, because the cooking time is not always the same. This kind of restaurant i.e mongolian bbq is an excellent option for « come together » event birthdays, staff excursions etc. The great choice in meat, fish and poultry as well as side dishes rice, ratatouille, potatoes Gratin style, an excellent veggie chili and a plentiful salad bar makes this set just so. Barbaro is truly more than a restaurant, it is great food mixed with enterainment. Went there with friends and 4 hours just passed by without us noticing, I don't eat meat, but this did not make the experience less enjoyable for me at all, as the fish was delicious - salmon and shark! - as well as the gambas, and the plancha with mixed vegetables and seafood very worhty as well. I find the concept really great, involving you in the process of making your own food, composing your skewers (don't hesitate to add banana pieces or pineapple, they complement deliciously the fish), watching over the grill so they don't burn.
