"Although it was a week with rave reviews, we expected it to be busy. It wasn't. There was only one other table all night, and they left shortly after we arrived. The starters were good, but my pasta was overcooked and sticky. The service was very amateur. The young girl taking our drink order even wrote it on her hand, which seemed unprofessional and unhygienic. They also forgot to give us dessert spoons with our dessert. Overall, very disappointing."

We attended the 10-course tapas tasting menu event at the restaurant. Everything from the service to the quality of food was top-notch. It couldn't have been any better! I highly recommend Basils.

Service needs to meet the standard of the food. Food excellent but the service requires improvement. Table was not ready on arrival which was not a problem, but we was asked to go upstairs which felt like we was imposing on a children's party/family gathering. We felt a little uncomfortable. Once seated downstairs, we had to keep asking for certain items such as ice bucket, spoon for soup, steak knives etc. I wouldn't rush to go back.
