"They could not find the Fourchette reservation, but since we were staying in the hotel, we had a table. The hostess escorted us to a table with an OK view, I was hoping for better, she said Je suis desole, but we are fully booked. I pointed to a better different empty table and asked if we could be there. She said Je suis Desole, we are fully booked. We took the table she offered. By no one had shown up to use the table I requested. All I got was Je suis desole, and I did not believe a word of it On to the meal, was ok prepared, my wife had canette, pink inside and crispy outside, very nice. I had the guinea fowl breast, it was overcooked and dry. Spinach was delicious Buffet breakfast was the normal offerings, all nice So nice meal, hostess rude."

The setting and the food were excellent. The service was adequate. A little bit more friendliness would help.

The food was outstanding matched only by the view and very hospitable service. It was a great value for such an incredible dinning experience. It is worth the drive from the center of Annecy. View menu

The food was divine. Every course was perfectly cooked with really subtle flavours. The view of the lake is also really special. My only complaint was the slow service took minutes to get water to the table (on a really really hot day and the coffee arrived way after the cafe gourmand (desserts) that we asked for together. The waiters, however, were very helpful and nice, even though our French was pretty difficult to understand!

The restaurant has a beautiful view! We started with a gin and tonic which was lovely, before moving to a bottle of Savoir white with dinner which was also delicious. I had the Ravioli whilst my husband had the crayfish for entrees they were both amazing, very beautifully presented and delicious. The bread was also fresh and tasty. I had the duckling for mains and my husband had the guinea fowl. The guinea fowl was crispy and tender, I wish I had ordered it myself! The duck was chewy, hard to cut through and not very nice. The aubergine and polenta that accompanied the duckling was lovely.

"We had a weird feeling about this restaurant when we were given 2 menu books WITHOUT any price at first. Turned out that their gastronomic pricing didn't match their brasserie standard at all. My friend asked a couple of questions about some dishes, the waiter...was very puzzled and passive, said a couple of times that he didn't know. After that, we were served some kind of MUSHY OLD bread before the meal. If this was a sign of welcoming from the owner, then he failed right there. In our main courses, apart from the meat and fish ingredients, each of us got half of a small potato, 1 small stick of leek, 1 lonely cauliflower, some smashed petit pois with the size of a small coffee capsule, and 1 line of smashed carrot. Looks like the quantity one would place on a plate of a gastronomic restaurant with 8 courses, except that this is NOT a gastronomic restaurant, from the plastic menu, the furniture, the old bread, the cutleries, the different menu pricing and the service which failed to describe the dishes. The worst part, was when the waiter came and asked us if everything went well, I gave him the feedback that the food was good but the veggie was way too little. He first proposed us to eat more dessert, then when I said no, he got so upset and defensive that he even pointed at the kitchen telling me that I should go to see the chef and discuss with him myself. Why bother asking your client how their meal was if you can't receive a candid feedback? Being a frequent traveller, coming from the hospitality industry, I have to say this place is to AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Unless you have too much money and eating next to a canval is way more important than being treated in a disrespectful manner, and leaving the restaurant with a happy stomach."
