"After a year we have regained to our wedding day and were here with 3 children in the meantime about 10 times. No matter when we come by, we've always got delicious food. I think the best restaurant in Vechta County. Price/performance is top. Also the selection of dishes from Greek to Yugoslavian to Turkish and Italian is a great thing. The services are very nice and accommodating. You just feel comfortable here. I definitely recommend this restaurant and like to come back to you"

"I guess there are many rural pubs that were once farm houses now converted to restaurants. This is one of them only a minute or two from Vechta by car.We dined there one evening and were put in the main dining room which features a glass semi-circular room. Very nice. The food is authentic German for the area along with steaks and other western favorites. I had the Jager Schitzel and a couple of beers to compliment the German feast. The food was outstanding and very good value for the money. Overall food prices in Vechta at this time of year seem very good. Perhaps it is far enough away from the major centres but good value for sure.I would certainly go back here first when back in Vechta."

"Went in for a light dinner for one on a Sunday evening. Jade-Garden is said to be the best Chinese restaurant in Vechta. I cannot vouch for that, as I have not tried others, but I can give it a good report. This is a very busy place and does take-out as well as restaurant meals. It's clearly a great favorite with locals. One might do well to reserve ahead, even though the place is not small. I am rather demanding with respect to Chinese food and favor the spicier sorts, which are not the specialities of a restaurant in a small town in Lower Saxony. So I did not find the food outstanding. But is was well prepared and good and, I would imagine, well above the average to be expected in such a restaurant. Probably those who favor regional styles other than Szechuan or Hunan would find most dishes much to their taste. There is, at any rate, a good-sized menu of attractive dishes. It's a very friendly atmosphere, what with the bustle of jolly locals, well lubricated with beer, many of whom are obviously known to the staff. The food is slow to come, so you should be ready for that. The positive side of that is the indication that everything is prepared freshly to order. The negative side is that you have to wait - but you can always relax and have a few beers and/or some plum wine. That's actually what you are supposed to want to do, anyway. Any good European restaurant is selling you a culinary and social experience and does not expect you to be in, or to want to be in, a rush to leave, unlike American restaurants, where they would aim to get you out of there in 70 minutes so that they can sell your table three times or more in one evening, and have trained their customers to be thankful for the "good service" (i.e. of being rushed out) and to tip well for it. (Service non-compris.) If you dine at the Jade-Garden, you'll be in the presence of many family groups, with tables of four to eight, loaded with food and drink, and with Gemütlichkeit much in evidence. Children would probably be very welcome here, but they'll need to know how to behave in a throng. From what I saw and ate myself, the dishes are well cooked, attractively presented and properly generous. Rice is brought automatically in proper quantity. One surprising thing is that chopsticks are not automatically offered. I am sure that you can ask for them; but although I prefer them for Chinese food, I did not ask for them in this case for whatever reason. It's a bit strange to eat food with a knife and fork that has been designed for chopsticks: sticky rice for example, and bits of duck that are the right size for eating from chopsticks in two bites but too large to eat in one bite from a fork and needing thus to be cut with a knife. As I seem to recall, chopsticks were introduced to keep people from bringing knives to the table. But then, this is Lower Saxony. The place is not particularly expensive and offers good value for money; but it is not cheap fast food - I am not sure what "on a budget" means these days."

"A cozy restaurant. The service is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. Everything is clean and tidy. The toilets are also clean. The food is very good. A large selection of pasta and pizza. There is even whole grain pizza. And everything tastes excellent. The portions are large. Price-performance ratio definitely fits. In summer there is also enough seating outside and there is a parking space right next to the restaurant. Always my pleasure. "Dieses Restaurant wird mit viel Herzblut, Leidenschaft und Freude seit über 30 Jahren vom Betreiberehepaar geführt. Es liegt mitten in der Innenstadt. Parkplätze sind drumherum ausreichend vorhanden. Außerdem verfügt es über 4 Kegelbahnen. Leider ist der Geruch in den Räumen der Kegelbahnen am Anfang etwas unangenehm. Dieser verflog dann aber sehr schnell. Das Essen ist hier super lecker!Wir waren schon des öfteren hier, u.a. haben wir schon 2 Familienfeiern hier verbracht. Da war gerade Spargelzeit. Dieses Mal hatten wir Wild, die Teller waren ansprechend angerichtet - das Fleisch auf einem leckeren Saucenspiegel dazu Birne mit Preiselbeerfüllung. Kartoffelröstis und Blaukraut wurden separat in Schüsseln angeboten. Das Fleisch war super zart und genau richtig zubereitet- alle haben ihre Teller leer gegessen . Unsere Kinder hatten sich für ein Wiener Schnitzel entschieden, dieses war fast so groß, wie der Teller, dazu gab es Pommes (separat) und einen kleinen Salatteller, knackig und frisch. Alle beide haben das Riesenschnitzel verputzt! Einfach nur lecker. Die Aufmerksamkeit der Chefin ist toll, sie achtet darauf, dass genügend Essen für alle da ist und füllt sofort nach bzw. bietet an, noch Blaukraut, Sauce, Röstis usw. zu bringen.Nachdem wir eine kurze Runde gekegelt haben, entschieden wir uns für verschiedene Dessertvariationen. Jeder probierte bei jedem.Schauen Sie sich die Bilder an und Ihnen wird das Wasser im Munde zusammenlaufen. Die Küchenleistung ist spitze! Die Herzlichkeit und Ehrlichkeit der Chefin sehr angenehm, wenn jetzt noch tolles Servicepersonal unterstützend da gewesen wäre, wäre alles perfekt.Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder."
