"Just had a takeaway delivery. Was the best Chinese takeaway we've ever had. We've had Chinese food in China, eating this transported us back there. The beef parcel held together nicely, wasn't too oily and was delicious and crisp. The stir fried pork belly was delicious, flavoured well and again not oily like many other takeaway food. The chilli chicken was amazing. Floral, spicy, crispy unami through and through. If you ever want food similar to that of what you find in China, I would highly recommend. My only negative I do not live near and am on holiday and only wish I had this available nearer to home."

Two bits of chicken in the Chickenless chow mein and Satay chicken lacking peanuts. Shan't be spending on this again. Prompt delivery though.

Had hotpot here with a few friends, some ingredients seems like not so fresh, two friends and I felt gastrointestinal discomfort soon after the meal. Apart from this, the attitude of the waiters may still needs to improve.

This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in Exeter! It may not look like much from the outside, but the food is incredible. I highly recommend it, just don't come expecting traditional English dishes like chicken balls. View menu

The food was very nice and staff seemed friendly, but it was extremely overpriced. I feel that restaurant is slightly exploiting the wealthier Chinese students who are looking for a taste of home. A no frills restaurant with a fancy price tag. Can't fault the food, just the prices.

This restaurant offers delicious authentic Sichuan cuisine. We may have ordered too much, but we were very satisfied with our meal. The decor is simple, but the focus is on the food. The service was very friendly. They have two menu options - a la carte and hot pot. Be prepared to experience bold flavors that may challenge your palate if you are used to the more standardized Western Chinese restaurants.

This is my favourite restaurant in Exeter, I don’t live there anymore but whenever I come back I try to visit. It is the only place I know that has charcoal heated hotpot! And the pricing for hotpot is excellent compared to other places, and really good quality. Always really nice and cosy and friendly in there. It’s lovely being in there on a winter afternoon and as more people get hotpot it warms up and the windows get steamy. View menu

This place is real Chinese food for Chinese people. It is an absolute eye opener for all others who have not experienced the real thing. The people who work here are beautiful and friendly the food is also great, but it will not please that the normal sweet and acidic chicken etc. that grow up on your average Chinese restaurant menu in the UK. What you will get is 'hot pot' where you cook your food yourself and a variety of other exciting dishes. The lamb shoots are amazing!

I really wanted to like this place because I love no frills, authentic restaurants which is what this appeared to be, and maybe it was, but unfortunately it was also cold, the staff were super unfriendly and half the food we ordered was poor. We had chicken that was dry and two dishes that tasted overwhelmingly of cumin with no balance of flavours at all. I don;t expect bells and whistles, but he staff gave us the impression that they didn't want us to be there at all. To top it off, it was really expensive for what it was.

"Owner rude and arrogant! And you can’t trust them and they won’t make your order right by just saying too busy to make it right! I called in to make a booking but told no tables available but I could place an order for takeaway so I ordered two gluten free pizzas. I also asked what size are the gluten free pizza crust and was told 11”. I was told I would need to wait 1 hour 30 minutes and I agreed. I ordered the Gluten free 11 “ crust as advised for one Olive Tree and one Garlicky . When I arrived, I asked the person with the pizzas to confirm the gluten free pizzas. She looked a bit worried and said they were not gluten free. I asked the other girl if I would have to wait another 1.5 hrs and she said they would expedite my pizzas. The owner came over and said he had two vegan pizzas for 8:30 pm and I said that is not what I ordered. He said he was too busy to remake the pizzas. He said the girl that took the order said she didn’t remember gluten free was ordered. As a Celiac , those are the first words out of my mouth when I order any food and I also inquired the size of the gluten free crust and frequently they are pre-made and sealed and I was told they are 11”. He would not remake the pizzas as he said he has to trust his staff. So he implies the customer are lying and uses it as an excuse to not make it right. It doesn’t excuse not remaking the pizzas correctly as ordered gluten free as I was told a few minutes earlier. I assured him I ordered both pizzas gluten free and my wife came in and also confirmed as she heard me place the order on the phone. I realize this pizza must be well done and popular but not to remake the pizzas and imply me a liar and refusing to remake them is unprofessional. I find his behavior arrogant, rude and unprofessional and just because he went to Italy to learn how to make pizza doesn’t make him a good owner and manager. Hopefully, he won’t blow off this review but learn from it. Always make it right for your customers! And never insult your customers! It also suggest he doesn’t care about his customers because he is too busy. He walks away and just repeats he has to trust his employees. Poor excuse for not making the pizzas as ordered! Employees can make mistakes and as a Coeliac I will also double check as I did when I came to pick up the pizzas. I would advise Coeliacs to not try these pizzas as you can’t trust them to make them to your order. Peace be with you! Dietary restrictions You cannot trust this place to make your gluten free as ordered and they won’t remake it if they made it wrong and just say I have to trust my staff. Very Poor attitude from an owner and a bit arrogant! Customers don’t appear to be important and must be lying if they get an order wrong."
