The place is nice , very close to the center of Berlin , we tried foie gras and beef steak , the food was delicious . The wine was good too , is a very good choice for a dinner in Berlin .

The place was excellent! I haven't eaten so well in a long time. We really enjoyed all the food we tried and the service was amazing. If I was leaving in Berlin I would be a frequent costumer with no doubt.

Came here on the recommendation of the concierge at hotel palace Berlin .The food was outstanding. Particularly the frogs legs ,escargot and scallops and king prawn .The chateaubriand was superb and melted in the mouth.Excellent value for money for a good French restaurant. We were recommended to this fine restaurant by the concierge at the Waldorf Astoria. The food and the ambience were exceptional. Emmanuel took great care of us. The foie gras was perfect- melted in your mouth. The veal cheeks and filet of beef were superb and a fine and very reasonably priced Paulliac complemented the meal superbly.A grand time was had by all.

After asking our concierge (Hotel am Steinplatz) where we could find a nice French restaurant he directed us here. A really traditional brown wood paneled French restaurant with a wonderful ambiance and first rate service. The menu had a fantastic selection and the food was beautifully cooked and presented. They also have a great wine list with some very nice french wines at reasonable costs. The highlight of our trip! just wish this place was in my home town! View menu

It's pouring rain and we don't want to venture too far so we choose Belmondo's. Food is very good, service excellent. Their baked French onion soup could be made in an oven from France with the lovely thick crust of cheese. I find it a bit creamy but on a miserable night, it is perfect. FOr mains I go for the chef'S suggestion of grilled watermelon and goat cheese with bacon wrapped prawns and scallops in a sauce. Prawns are slightly overdone but very nice combinations- almost as if we am enjoying several appetizers together. My husband raves about his lamb chops, green beans and potatoes gratinee. We might be in France. Quality is good and food is very fresh.

We first went on a recommendation 12 months ago, and it is now a restaurant I pre book before travelling to Berlin, (your hotel will arrange this). The atmosphere is welcoming but the food is simply brilliant. It is what I would class as "fine dining", but without the usual stuffiness of that type of establishment. It isn't cheap (nor is it dear when put into perspective), but as I've always said, you get what you pay for. It truly is a hidden gem of restaurants in Berlin and I cannot recommend it highly enough to give it a try, it wouldn't be your last.
