"My boyfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant when we were searching for another. Walking past, the outside seats were almost full and rows of people sat eating delicious looking dishes so we thought we would give it a try. We sat down outside and looking through the menu, we weren't sure what to order - it was very similar to Wagamamas with complicated dishes having different vegetables and spices in them that you have never heard of before which left us a bit doubtful. Eventually, we ordered Pork Spring Rolls and Chicken Satays which were only 3.90 euros - super cheap compared to English prices were they would be about £5. There are no words that describe the Spring rolls... they were beyond perfect. I have never tasted anything so brilliant. The sauce that accompanied them was also amazing - I wish I knew what it was! The chicken Satays didn't fall far behind either. For the main, my boyfriend ordered a noodle dish and for myself, a curry. Both were delicious. We also decided to order another set of pork spring rolls half way through just because the first ones were so good (these arrived super quick so we nibbled them with our mains). So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant. Everyone that enjoys Asian food should definitely give it a try!!!"

We were planning to go to a different restaurant on a recommendation but it was closed when we arrived. So we happened upon this place and were pleasantly surprised. We had the business lunch which was excellent value for money. Unfortunately the Sushi wasn't the best but everything else was excellent.

Just good cooking! Love this place in Pberg. The streets are lively with restaurants lining the way. When the weather is nice, make sure to grab a seat outside for the people watching. They take reservations so added bonus! You cannot go wrong with the sushi. Insider tip: my favorite is the hot plate. Just do it!

Looking for a place like Wagamamas? Then you should go to Best Friends! It's a really cute place, with mange themed art on the walls and amazing sushi. I went there a wee while ago with my family and it was already quite late, so we weren't sure they'd still serve us, but it was all good. The staff was really nice and the place was really easy too find as well. Definitely worth a go! View menu

We went to several different sushi restaurants while staying in Prenzlauer berg, and the one we enjoyed the most by far was Best Friends. The quality of the fish was very high (which sometimes it has not been in Berlin), and the sushi was well prepared with some imaginative fusion combos (particularly enjoyed the crispy salmon skin rolls). The prices are also very good (not least for the cocktails), and they take international credit cards, which we found many restaurants don't.With so many restaurants around advertising sushi (when in fact they are basically just glorified chinese takeaways), Best Friends stands out at as a great value dedicated sushi restaurant.

Two trips for dinner about four weeks apart. The first visit was grand: excellent rice noodle bowl with vegetables, and great sushi too, if somewhat unusual combination. On the second visit the noodle bowl was just as good, but the sushi lacked in freshness, even the rice seemed a little dry. The food, as you may guess from the sushi, isn't authentically Vietnamese, neither is the sushi authentically JApanese, but the mixture of Asian foods they serve they do fairly well, even though teh Vietnamese side of things is better represented and, in my eyes, tastier. The decor is modern, and seating is mostly on large, sometimes cummunal tables, and sometimes shared. Perhaps not the place for an in...
