"Amazing. I recently took my mother to the Crazy Bear on Saturday last week for her birthday surprise. I have to say we both really enjoyed it. I was a lovely girlie evening. On arrival we were met by the hostess, who was all smiles and made us feel so welcome. She promptly took our coats and we were escorted downstairs to the bar for pre-dinner drinks. "I was searching for a restaurant for a pre-theatre meal and a special place to celebrate my husband's birthday. The ambience and authenticity were fantastic, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, we opted for the set menu priced at £35 per person. The quality of the food was outstanding, but we wished there were more dishes and larger portions per person. For example, we ordered the teriyaki salmon and there was only one piece that we had to share. I felt that since we were paying per person, the portions should have been more equal. However, the dessert was delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and visit again, but I would be more cautious with my food choices. It is a perfect location for a pre-theatre meal near the Royal Albert Hall."

"I made a reservation for New Year's Eve and received an email confirmation. After checking the menu link provided, we knew exactly what we wanted. However, when we arrived at 9:30 PM, we discovered that the menu had been changed to a fixed four-course meal, which cost almost double what we had anticipated! I asked the waiter why we hadn't been informed of this change, but he simply said, "That's just how it is." Overall, it was a disappointing experience with poor service, and I won't be returning."

"There aren't plenty of suitable options for vegans so hopefully you’re not too hungry as quantities are quite small. We ordered a few tapas (bang bang cauliflower, vegan red dragon roll, chunky chips) and some cocktails. It's a nice place for a date for example or if you're more thirsty than hungry, although it won't be cheap. Food was okay but not amazing, it's not the type of place I would go regularly if I have other options nearby."

"the local loves this place and from good ground. warm, welcoming service and excellent, high quality food. the tables for eating are naturally at a distance and the ambiente of the restaurant is really chilled and relaxed, just perfect. we ordered a mix of sushi selections. for this time remove . it was super fresh, the sashimi was “melting in her mouth” tender and the rice was tender and sticky and light. we enjoyed a green tee while we waited for the cute young to put it together. a totally authentic experience with fresh and tasty eating. "we had a great evening in their restaurant! we came in without booking, and there were 8 of us at one of the evenings. the spicy margaret was just one of the best cocktails we need to order most. the cocktails taste fabulous! one of my friends has several allergens. it is not good to eat, and most of the food she cannot eat. a blonde lady took our job, and I told her I had several allergens. an Asian lady knows my allergens. she went beyond and beyond to make sure I had something to eat. she almost makes me cry because she cares about my allergens. thanks for a fabulous evening. the Asian dame and all the workers make our evening just as good as her. "We chose to dine in, it had seating but it's predominantly a take-away service so there were three tables to choose from. The service was quick and polite, with food being freshly made. We arrived not long after Umami opened, so the staff serving made sure the table we at was wiped down and clean for us. The food was said to be out roughly 15 minutes from ordering but it came out quicker than that. My sister ordered teriyaki tofu bento with duck oishi steamed buns (eyes bigger than her belly! Whilst I had tempura aubergine with vegetable gyoza. My sister enjoyed the bento buns, flavouring was lovely, generous amount of everything! She almost fell in love with the buns after one bite and her inner gollum came out. The tempura was very hot, but light enough to not feel stuffed as was the gyoza, pleasant and definitely able to enjoy everything. "Myself and my husband ate here to kick off our honeymoon. The food in Sakanas was absolutely incredible! We had the beef teriyaki and Korean steak gambi with jasmine rice, and both were gorgeous. Steak was melt in the mouth, incredible flavour and filling. Not the cheapest but well worth what you pay. Nice atmosphere, could have done with some air con as it was very hot in there! The only criticism we had was that the guy serving our table had zero customer service skills. We didn’t get a name but he was the tall server with his hair up in a top knot. No check back to see how our food was, zero conversation, came across as pretty rude and didn’t bother asking if we’d enjoyed the food. It was a shame as some of the other servers were really friendly but we didn’t tip because of his service. Otherwise, lovely meal out! Would definitely recommend for the food itself."

"Extremely horrible customer service. I ordered through their website to collect from Grays Inn, for which I received an e-mail confirming the order and pick-up location. Once I arrived to the place, I was told they had not received my order. I called the phone...number in the e-mail to be told that they only offer collection from their Marylebone branch, despite their website allowing me to choose Grays Inn, and that I had to go all the way to collect it from there. After rejecting walking for another hour, they told me to ask the Grays Inn branch to call them. The staff at Grays Inn did not manage to contact them in minutes although it took me only another minute to do so from my phone and put them in touch through my personal cell phone. When I finally got the order from the Grays Inn branch where I had been waiting for already minutes, the employee told me they were doing me a favor only for this time, as if it was my fault that their website sells services they can't fulfil! Unbelievable! When I thought nothing else could go wrong, I got home to open my package and discover they hadn't added a single sachet of soy sauce. Overall, terrible experience with even worse customer service. Last time I order from them."

"An absolute gem tucked away behind the station. I stopped for a quick early dinner on my way out and had to stay longer for to try another dish the first was so good. The staff were very friendly, warm and welcoming, the place is clean, the service was fantastic and the food well I already mentioned I stayed for more. When in London I usually visit a place in Camden for Sushi but now I have a choice south of the river too. I will be back to try the rest of the menu!"
