"a very beautiful location directly at the aachener weiher in the middle of the large park complex in green. we went after work with our department (from my workstation to foot very good, about 2 km, but they also get very good with the tram, there are even several stations close to, like the university road or the moltke road. at the moment we are vacationing and we were there on Friday morning at 22:30 a.m., it was still quite empty so that we had not to reserve the seats yet. But I think about a warm summer evening, especially on Saturday, this is certainly different. At any rate you sit comfortably on the usual beer garden furniture under beautiful large sun umbrellas, so that we can withstand it despite the plant temperatures. for us 8 we only have two tables joined together. a really very nice service, the young man also spoke perfectly English that we came together, as four young British sat on the side table, which is probably vacation here incologne. the menu is quite clear, but completely sufficient, as well as there was an extra card with flaky cake and pizza. I myself (and also my colleagues ordered me a carving of the Wiener art. these were then two (fortunately very luxurious hatched pork chop, with narrow frits and a mixed add-on salad for 11 €. for the size of the section quite ok, it also tasted very good. what I found especially good was salat, because at this time there were not the usual yogurt dressing, but a red American dressing, as well as a beautiful compilation of lollo, lizard salat, carrots, mais and nierenbohnen are not found so often. my colleague had ordered a Greek flaky cake (8,90 €, rich with cheese and pfefferoni covered, looked very good and was traditionally served on a wooden board. another colleague had then ordered the classic flammaster in Alsace, which she did not manage completely, was quite large. then several colleagues had ordered a many-ten potatoes with various supplements, one with laughs. Cool beer garden usually very full mainly students meet there. The food is very good there and the service fast, so you don't have to wait long for a beer. The toilets are okay, but some evenings could be cleaner. View menu

This biergarten is ideally located in Nagaskai-Hiroshima park, located near to ubahn stops in the north east corner of the park. Excellent when sunny, decent friendly service, and ok snack food to go with the beers.

The beer garden at Aachener Weier is not my No 1 in Cologne, here there is really better, but it is really ok. Most of my buddies come from downtown so you just meet here. Beer tastes and people there are quite relaxed.

The location is really nice,and is ideal for a nice evening in the summer time.Unfortunately some people working here is very unpleasant,especially with those not speaking german. I'm often here,but only for the park and the lake,as happened serveal times to be treated very bad. View menu

All the seating is outside and unprotected from the wind/rain.They have an amazing view of the Aachener Weiher but don't maximise their location to its full potential. The food is average, and the staff are a mix of very happy + polite, and rude + dismissive. I recommend bringing your own alcohol and drinking on the grass with the 1000's of others... It is really fun :)

To make the terrace more profitable (Geld Gier? the beer garden owners have illegally fallen a nice healthy tree, under which in summer many Colognes enjoyed the evening mood with a view of the water. The tree did not belong to beer garden owners, but stood on public soil, the green belt. This is financed with the (taxes of the owners, the Cologne population). The tree can now neither give shade nor convert CO2 into oxygen. Several young trees would have to be replanted there to correct climate change.
