"It was fine, but not sure what all the rave reviews are about. Menu was basic the 'fixed choice all year round so we 're going to print it as your placemat ' type which always makes me smile. Disappointed not to see a specials board, if only to indicate the chef tries out new seasonal dishes. Food was pleasant but for the price I didn 't think it was great value. We had a camembert to share to start and fish (tuna/sea bass) for main. Cooked nicely but lacking flavour. Decided to skip pudding! Service was good. But other than one other couple, we were the only ones on a Friday night, so you 'd expect it to be I suppose. Overall, have had better meals in Poole."

The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and efficient. The ambiance was just right with soft music playing in the background. Perfect.

A perfect place for a special dinner great food, stylishly presented with a peaceful ambiance. Don’t forget to look up, that painted ceiling is nearly 200 years old !

Was the evening of Storm Eunice. Poole in its integrity was dead so the atmosphere in town let alone a quiet restaurant was flat. Food was well prepared and tasty. Service was good.

Went with my girlfriend for our 1 year anniversary and the staff were patient and explained what some foods were that she didn't know on the menu. Food was brilliant. Would definitely go again View menu

Food was sublime really well cooked,a shame we had to wait nearly an hour for our meal, the waitress who was fantastic did apologise and advised there were o nly 2 members on duty. The price was a bit steep for its location,if I'm eating the meal which was really good but the ambience slightly ruined it for me ,it's the first time we have been there so we will come back as the meal was really good. I expect to pay those prices at the harbour Hotel or Chewton Glen because of its location and high end ambience so just a shame .

My husband and I had a fantastic Saturday evening meal at Bingleys on 29/01/22. The fish was cooked to perfection and the vegetables with it were lovely. I would advise ordering side vegetables as you dont get a lot with it, one portion of vegetables is enough between two. I have coeliac disease and the choice for gluten free is brilliant, the lady that runs the restaurant is gluten free. I had gluten free sticky toffee pudding (you wouldn't know it was GF) which I shared with my husband. I highly reccommend this restaurant.

"Booked a table of 5 for my birthday dinner. We were promptly seated then immediately asked for drinks orders before even being offered a drinks menu or water. After we had ordered drinks we were being rushed into ordering some food, every two minutes different waiters coming and asking if we are ready to order (at least 7 times). After we did order and the food was brought out, we were then just forgotten about and nobody came over anymore to check if we needed any more drinks (4 out of 5 glasses were empty) or if the food was ok. (It was- but no one checked). After we had finished dining, we still had empty glasses and had to wait 20+ minutes until we eventually stopped a waiter walking past and asked if we could order more drinks. The drinks then took another 15 minutes to come. It was also very disappointing that although we had mentioned on the booking itself that it was for my birthday, there was no acknowledgement of this (I have been before and had received a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it in some kind of sauce with a sparkler). My sister even went to ask the woman working on the front desk and received a standoffish attitude back saying no. When the £235 bill came, it even listed ‘birthday plate £0.00’ on it!!! That really let the evening down. The interactions with the staff themselves were great, they were very polite and personable but the actual level of service of being rushed to order and then totally forgotten about really dampened what could have been a fantastic evening."
