"I ate brunch in avenue restaurant and had a pleasant experience. it was very quiet when I had visited, but many more people came to the end of my meal. I would like to try more from the menu for dinner or even for drinks, as the restaurant is in st james with great location and ambiente as well as large service. for my brunch I tried the eggs benedict, which is one of my favorite, the lobster mac’n’cheese and a caffe latte. I enjoyed them all, and especially the lobster mac’n’cheese, which was a first, the dish was very fresh and hot and the lobster very sweet. at this opportunity the muffin for my eier benedikt was a little hard, which is why I had to give an evaluation, but unlike this all the other was great."

"Since the pandemic, the quality of service in London restaurants has noticeably declined, so it was refreshing to experience such exceptional service at this establishment. The head manager was particularly attentive, always keeping an eye on the customers. The food was excellent overall, although I did feel that the pistachio tart for dessert could have used a bit more flavor. On the bright side, the pastry itself was light and crisp, which added to the experience."

"I actually attended on the Friday for evening dinner. We were suppose to have gone again on the Sunday afternoon. But decided to give it a miss. I was not as impressed as I once was with this place. I have been here a few times and have enjoyed. But this time I did not enjoy the meal. Some of it was cold. I ordered Irish coffee. They got sent back times. First ones never looked right. Second one very cold. Third time was fine. Even the cheese board was very minimal."

"I have been frequenting this pub for several years, and during that time, it has undergone some changes. Recently, the focus has shifted to being more of a restaurant/pub."

"great place! we wanted to go to santorini, but my passport didn't come in time. I treated it as a little bit of a week to cheat me and my friend. blown away, how amazing everything was, decor, dj, staff, eating. we had the steak and seafood combination. lobster, king prawns, taffeta rings, truffled frries and pepercorn sauce. the best lobster activity ever had. cocktails also beautiful! not to see the terrace over the city. modern seating area with heating lights and good RnB games. what do you want? would come back 100% and will return for my 30th birthday with a large group of friends and family. many thanks east 59th!"

"No customers in there apart from us, no atmosphere very sad place, torn carpet on entrance, uncomfortable chairs and out of stock of Diet Coke and onion rings. Food was cold and took forever to get a drink. Expensive, and opened late at 12 noon-every other eatery locally open all day. I’m surprised they can stay in business. My party of people didn’t enjoy the experience and nor did I. I felt sorry for the waitress as she was wondering why we chose her restaurant. The owner should be chained to the restaurant seating area and made to eat there"

"Absolutely love the bottomless brunches at the Sky Lounge. Fabulous setting and decor! The staff are excellent and work really hard to give you the best experience. Choice of drinks are the best and they just keep on coming! Food is excellent too. Overall my favourite place to meet with friends and family for a special treat. Thank you Sky Lounge, I’ll be back."

"Very hard to pay on Sunday! Couldn 't catch anyone 's eye so walked over to the till and stood there while staff hovered around restaurant clearing up etc. A waitress started clearing the table by the till, putting glasses beside it, getting a cloth to wipe it, etc. I asked if we could pay our bill. She said Wait till I 've done this table. And we did. Eventually she finished and it took us 1 minute to pay. This was at 3.15 in the afternoon, there were any number of empty tables so not the slightest need to prioritise clearing more tables. I can see this is quite self-sacrificing by floor staff who throw away tips by this, but it would be more conventional and I suggest better to prioritise customers."

"the outside of the pub looks terrible. it is tired and boring. the inner is similar. it's dark and clapping. the coworkers try, but there is a certain lack of love to detail. this place needs a real spruce out and in, it also needs a strong customer concentrated management team that get the best from the personal. that could be a big pub, but we have said that for years and his still poor. the meal times with which we are no longer disturbing, because they are expensive and the quality is very hit and miss more than hit to be honest. the pub has no atmosphere. it also lacks any type of airflow when the weather is warm, leave the doors open and open windows where possible. illuminate the space both inside and outside to make it more attractive. that could be a great place, but as I say, we have said that for a long time."
"It was fine, but not sure what all the rave reviews are about. Menu was basic the 'fixed choice all year round so we 're going to print it as your placemat ' type which always makes me smile. Disappointed not to see a specials board, if only to indicate the chef tries out new seasonal dishes. Food was pleasant but for the price I didn 't think it was great value. We had a camembert to share to start and fish (tuna/sea bass) for main. Cooked nicely but lacking flavour. Decided to skip pudding! Service was good. But other than one other couple, we were the only ones on a Friday night, so you 'd expect it to be I suppose. Overall, have had better meals in Poole."

"Very enjoyable lunch in the upstairs part of Cellarium (worth booking an upstairs table). I had the wild mucshroom and tarragon fregola which was delicious. Ambiance is relaxed, the room light and airy with unusual roof scape of Westminster Abbey. Service was hit and miss. Despite me booking, there was no acknowledgement of this, order taking slow and general lack of attentiveness. This wouldn't stop me going again, but it's a shame for a hidden gem in Westminster."

"Two waiting staff only on the top floor, which dropped to one. This is no reflection on the staff as they were rushed off their feet but service was slow . Both waiters were very hard working, pleasant and fast moving but were continually apologising for the slow service- clearly under staffed and overwhelmed by the lunchtime rush It took 30 minutes to pay! On the plus side, great location, good food and very pleasant team. Nice atmosphere."

"Fantastic meal at Headlam Hall Hotel. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our meals. The Orangery dining room is a lovely backdrop for the food that was well presented, exceptionally tasty and, unlike many meals out these days, well portioned. The menu certainly lives up to the claim of Modern British cooking using locally sourced ingredients. My Tandoori lamb scotch egg starter was very flavoursome, a great combination... and even had a runny yolk! Both mains (belly pork/fillet of beef) tasted great, and the meats were succulent. My chocolate cheesecake was to die for, and Vanessa's Baked Parkin, salted caramel sauce, brandy snap and black treacle ice cream was a very clever and harmonious combination of flavours. Service was efficient and friendly but not over-obtrusive. All in all, it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. Thank you."

"I thought I had made a reservation for afternoon tea, but upon arriving at the restaurant, the manager informed me that I had made a mistake and tried to blame the website for the error. After some arguing, we were finally served what we had originally booked. The service was good once we were seated, and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, I wish the staff had informed us in advance that we could take home any leftovers. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations."

"on the other day with several people sitting here. overall we were very happy. the personal was friendly and friendly and very child-friendly. Sometimes the employees are obviously unhappy about small children who run around and make noise, but here it has not disturbed at all. eating was some of the best I ever had in a restaurant, and each of the adult I competed with. would definitely recommend people."

"the personal was beautiful and could not do more, but there were only 2 employees and they were very haunted, although they did not show their best. the starter was excellent, but the hauptburger was very dry with a very sad piece salat and tomaten on it. the chips were lukewarm. the dessert was average and we were offered only one because after we had eaten. we decided not to stay for tea and coffee. we have eaten here very regularly and always to christmas, but I don't think we'll be back for a past."

"the restaurant was moderately busy enough to create a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. the waiting staff were prompt, helpful and friendly during the meal. the starters were good, but the ribeye steak my mannes, although cooked on request, was gristly and more fat than expected. in fairness we received a real apology from restaurant manager and our coffee/brandy order was free. that was very appreciated."

"We popped in last week and had the baked Camembert as a snack. It was really lovely so we decided to go back with my son and his girlfriend. The Camembert didn’t have garlic or seeds on a previously but was ok. The kofta starter was minimal and nothing special. The turkey and beef roasts were presented nicely but no green vegetables, the parsnip was hard and the overall flavours remarkable in their absence. The hunters chicken was well received and tasty but peas would have been nicer than a mound of plain rocket. I asked for a small glass of red to go with my meal and it took until 2/3 through my meal to arrive. It was a large so I tried to gain attention but that proved difficult as it did when we tried to get tue bill. For £103.00 I would hope to have a better experience. Generally a nice atmosphere and setting/ friendly waitress. I raised the issues when asked how our meal has been and got the old “sorry!”. Don’t think I’d rush back to eat here."

"Extremely disappointed! Took my mother for an early Mother's Day treat and was so disappointed. First of all our on-line booking through open table was not on the Admiral Rodney's list of bookings. They did find us a table but then we waited so long (10 past 7 from 6pm) for our main courses we had to ask where they were. As if by magic they appeared, having probably been under a lamp for half an our. The presentation was a disgrace and not to the standards I expect from the venue. We ordered Hunters Chicken. It had a piece of what tasted like plastic ham on top of a piece of chicken with a little pot of BBQ sauce with a few chips thrown on the plate. No sign of any cheese. Definately not Hunters Chicken. On telling the person on paying they just said it's because they had been busy due to the weather being nice! Maybe a sign should say this on future nice days!"
