"meet and greeting was very good, asked if we want a drink while we look at the menu. drinks ordered delivered quite fast. eating ordered, but a choice was not available. eating was very good and hot when delivered. but our evening was pampered to buy a loud disturbing child who was ignored most of the time. obviously not much discipline to house. we would be happy to return to the restaurant, but perhaps choose our time more cautious, it was 18 o'clock on a Sunday night!"

Was very busy hence rather slow service, but quite acceptable in the circumstances. Able to take our time and relax, no hurry.

Very enjoyable Sunday lunch, of quality food excellent and staff happy and friendly, would recommend it very much, slightly more expensive than the average Sunday lunch but world of difference in quality

The restraunt was extremely busy, even though we booked they weren't ready for us. The service was so poor had to wait an hour for food, nobody came to offer us any drinks or the bill. Had to stand at the till for 10 minutes for someone to let us pay the bill. Usually a good place to eat, but really unimpressed this time. Doubt we will return. The food was also cold.

Took my relatives visiting from Australia here Sunday 30th Sept 6:30pm 2018. As expected it was very busy so service was slow but didn't matter as we chatted and enjoyed the surroundings. My cousin had a Caesar salad with a very generous piece of salmon, her husband had the steak and ale pie that was so big he couldn't finish it and I had a delicious hunters chicken, excellent meals and thoroughly enjoyed our evening, many thanks to the staff! I had an excellent meal to celebrate my birthday with friends. The food was delicouis and well presented , the service was slow. The pub was busy, however it gave us more time to chat . I was presented with a bottle of prosecco on leaving because of the occasion and an apology for the initial slow service. Our waiter was very pleasant. My main course salmon was the best meal I have had in a long time, no dissapointments in the food, this was expressed by all 6 of us.

a pretty embarrassing situation, we had related from seattle, america and how my wife was a few years ago and recommended it was embarrassing to sue before them. yorkshire puddings and bratkartoffeln were dry and tough as if they were left on the press too long and the cabbage was cold. it was not exactly what we expected on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. the waitress and the winemaker were very pleasant and certainly the best part of the day, so our thanks to them.

"We were seated promptly and our order taken and drinks served, the food took just over 45 minutes and no offer of an explanation for the delay. The menus were too many and in lots of forms, just simplify a little, no wonder you needed a clip board to hold them all. When the meals did arrive the roast dinner was not good the beef was dry and really tough, as old boots comes to mind, the roast potatoes were very hard and very difficult to cut, looked as if they had been in the roasting tin for at least 2 days and reheated. There was a teaspoonful of cabbage and 1 tiny floret of broccoli. this offering was on the specials menu and the only reason it was special is that it must have been yesterdays leftovers. With the other meal was a small jug of gravy, which when poured was very lumpy. We do like horse radish sauce but unfortunately there should have been some on the table and there wasn't. We asked for some and we were half way through the meal before it arrived. The real value of an enduring business lies in the ability to provide good service. On this occasion you missed it by a mile. There seemed to be a significant difference between the fast food outdoor service and the indoor table service and people around us seemed to think the same. The cost of the roast beef dinner was very expensive compared to other local offerings and together with the poor quality an altogether poor experience."
