"The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The wrap was packed with flavorful chicken, fresh vegetables, and a tasty sauce. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food from "Wraps & Wings" and will definitely be ordering from them again in the future."

"the outside of the pub looks terrible. it is tired and boring. the inner is similar. it's dark and clapping. the coworkers try, but there is a certain lack of love to detail. this place needs a real spruce out and in, it also needs a strong customer concentrated management team that get the best from the personal. that could be a big pub, but we have said that for years and his still poor. the meal times with which we are no longer disturbing, because they are expensive and the quality is very hit and miss more than hit to be honest. the pub has no atmosphere. it also lacks any type of airflow when the weather is warm, leave the doors open and open windows where possible. illuminate the space both inside and outside to make it more attractive. that could be a great place, but as I say, we have said that for a long time."

"We had difficulty finding the restaurant because of road works causing delays and diversions, so we arrived late but the staff were friendly and welcoming. I have been to the Coy Carp once before (pre pandemic) but my relatives were pleased by the canal-side location and historic feel of the building. We were allocated a table in a quiet area, which facilitated conversation for the older members of our group. The food was good, well cooked with generous portions. The service was good with pleasant and attentive staff. We very much enjoyed our visit and would return again if the opportunity offered. Thank you very much for a pleasant and enjoyable experience. "Our first venture in since the new menu was introduced. A warm welcome from Brian who showed us to our table put us at our ease. He explained she that would be over to take our drinks order, and Sophie would be looking after us throughout our meal. we have a difficult time choosing from the menu as it had all our favourites. We picked the creamy mushrooms and the duck and orange pâté for our starters. I was going to have a roast, as it sounded delicious, but I was tempted away by the sharing platter of prawns, sticky chicken, lamb koftas with humus, tzatziki and flatbread. The food duly arrived, beautifully presented with pretty edible flowers. The pâté was smooth and tasty, and the toasted bread with it was delicious. The button mushrooms were in a rich creamy buttery sauce on a slice of toast. Main courses were a triumph, brought to the table by Tom, a very pleasant young man : roast sirloin of beef, a trio with beef pork and turkey accompanied by all the trimmings, and my mixed platter.Every single element was perfect from Yorkshire puddings and bacon wrapped stuffing, to the al dente broccoli, French beans, roasted parsnips carrots and potatoes, and cauliflower cheese. All irresistible and cooked to perfection, compliments to Joe, the chef. We had a breather with a coffee, then forced ourselves to choose a pudding, a tricky task as they were all so tempting, and we plumped for strawberry trifle with extra custard and raspberry sorbet I loved Sophie, she didn’t say no to anything! double chocolate brownie, and the phenomenal mango pavlova, the prettiest dessert I’d ever seen. Happily they all exceeded our expectations with their tastes and flavours. The pink and white swirled meringue in the pavlova was flavoured with a zingy fruity flavour which was a delicious surprise to me, and the best meringue I’ve ever had. Overall, we were delighted with our visit, and we’ve rebooked for next week already."

"the personal was beautiful and could not do more, but there were only 2 employees and they were very haunted, although they did not show their best. the starter was excellent, but the hauptburger was very dry with a very sad piece salat and tomaten on it. the chips were lukewarm. the dessert was average and we were offered only one because after we had eaten. we decided not to stay for tea and coffee. we have eaten here very regularly and always to christmas, but I don't think we'll be back for a past."

"the restaurant was moderately busy enough to create a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. the waiting staff were prompt, helpful and friendly during the meal. the starters were good, but the ribeye steak my mannes, although cooked on request, was gristly and more fat than expected. in fairness we received a real apology from restaurant manager and our coffee/brandy order was free. that was very appreciated."

"Everyone had a great dining experience, which was enhanced by the friendly and efficient waitstaff. While the menu was somewhat limited, there was still something for everyone to enjoy. The prices were reasonable, especially considering that bar prices were not excessively marked up like in some hotel restaurants."

"We popped in last week and had the baked Camembert as a snack. It was really lovely so we decided to go back with my son and his girlfriend. The Camembert didn’t have garlic or seeds on a previously but was ok. The kofta starter was minimal and nothing special. The turkey and beef roasts were presented nicely but no green vegetables, the parsnip was hard and the overall flavours remarkable in their absence. The hunters chicken was well received and tasty but peas would have been nicer than a mound of plain rocket. I asked for a small glass of red to go with my meal and it took until 2/3 through my meal to arrive. It was a large so I tried to gain attention but that proved difficult as it did when we tried to get tue bill. For £103.00 I would hope to have a better experience. Generally a nice atmosphere and setting/ friendly waitress. I raised the issues when asked how our meal has been and got the old “sorry!”. Don’t think I’d rush back to eat here."

"I ordered the Moving Mountains burger' which was delicious, however when the plate arrived, it looked rather bare, there were only a small handful of chips, it seemed to be missing something. The table across also ordered a burger and I saw his plate was bursting with chips and plate garnishes. I don't get why the meat burgers gets a side of onion rings but the moving mountains burger' does not. Even if the onion rings were not vegan, could have at least put a side salad garnish. Overall, I felt a little bit ripped off, especially when you could easily count the number of chips I had on my plate."

"Extremely disappointed! Took my mother for an early Mother's Day treat and was so disappointed. First of all our on-line booking through open table was not on the Admiral Rodney's list of bookings. They did find us a table but then we waited so long (10 past 7 from 6pm) for our main courses we had to ask where they were. As if by magic they appeared, having probably been under a lamp for half an our. The presentation was a disgrace and not to the standards I expect from the venue. We ordered Hunters Chicken. It had a piece of what tasted like plastic ham on top of a piece of chicken with a little pot of BBQ sauce with a few chips thrown on the plate. No sign of any cheese. Definately not Hunters Chicken. On telling the person on paying they just said it's because they had been busy due to the weather being nice! Maybe a sign should say this on future nice days!"

"it was me and my mother was the first time in helensburgh and it was just by chance that our travelodge in which we were was right next to this beautiful pub! we have booked a table for 7 o'clock and a beautiful seat next to the window in a quiet opposite of the pubs. cara (I think her name was and her service was absolutely great. she was extremely accentuated on our food requirements as well as chatty and friendly. the food itself was just wonderful. I had a bump steak that I enjoyed throughout (and the cheese sauce was to die for! and my mother had a small pizza. We decided to order a hot drink and pudding afterwards, and my pudding didn't taste good, so we kindly asked to return the pudding for us that she did and her manager came out and apologized unfaithful. also he was extremely accusing, professional and friendly and assured us that the pudding had actually been misprepared and he was grateful that we broke it up so that this mistake would not happen again. beautiful, homely place with fantastic eating and the most fantastic staff! Many thanks, we look forward to our return in the near future!"

"while we go out for christmas and to the second week of the year, it is time to let the Sunday-Mittags path up and running. we drove for a long overdue return to the black horse in brentwood, which is part of the vintage inns chain. I am also very pleased to say that we have not been left in the least. at our arrival we received a nice greeting that contained a reception from manager leigh before we sit at our table. we started with a drink while we watch the menu. Once we have made our decisions, our waitress nina, which I must say, has taken our order very friendly and professionally during our lunch. we started with a Prawn cocktail and the often baked button portobello mushrooms. these dishes were a joy and a great opportunity to begin. now we moved on to the roasted and young we were for a tasty bite. my wife chose the Roast Torkei and for me I had to choose the trio froms that was a mixture of black bell, truthahnbeef. the roasts were accompanied with a selection of sweet, bratkartoffeln, yorkshire pudding, gravur and of course the additional flower cauliflower cheese. we needed a little break before we finished dessert. that gave us the chance to have a chat with manager leigh. to dessert my wife chose the eton mess and on waitress ninas recommended I chose the banoffee pie with toffee sauce. we finished with a coffee to finish a fantastic Sunday dinner. the food and service was excellent and can really not expect to visit again soon. I would definitely recommend a visit as this is a great place for couples, small and large groups where they can enjoy good eating along with friendly service. many thanks to leigh and the whole team especially our waitress nina, who really took care of us and is looking forward to seeing them very soon."

"love the robin hood, eating and service is always excellent. on Friday (5th mai) again visited the service was great, staff are always friendly, I had the cured meat pizza that was really good and it was huge! also love the fizz Friday deal. definitiw mine go to the pub for a beautiful not expensive meal! also visited the last two christmas' for Christmas dinner, which was always beautiful and a great festive atmosphere!"

"We come here regularly but tonight was one of the worst meals I’ve had, was looking forward to a Sunday roast, didn’t have any lamb left so I had steak and asked if I could have potatoes and veg instead of chips, meat was tough, I had to wait for vegetables, then had to ask for steak knife and to top it had to ask for my gravy which came and was cold, ate it because I was hungry"

"No ambience as noone elsein..5 of us ate for a family birthday..the lady who served us was lovely but the food was very average..a little tasteless..the fishcakes were sloppy and didnt go with new potatoes at all..the chicken sandwich was bland and fries soggy.. and the gammon was undercooked and very near raw.. the thick chips were nice though. "We were most disappointed with the new menu found it hard to choose anything Plus it’s written on sort if grey paper with the dim lighting could hardly see it. Wanted s quiet space to eat so chose the Thirties Room It had 3 tables I had requested the one by the window but was told to sit on the other one Half way through our dinner a waiter came behind us and pushed the other two tables together and a party of about 7 with young children rocked up Goodbye to our quiet dinner !!!! My partner has to ask for the music to be turned down as we arrived as the speaker was right above our heads We left after our meagre meal I could hardly believe the size of it and the price it was ridiculous We visit Farnjngham vintage inn quite a lot The staff weren’t friendly Thank god for the lovely Claire who we only saw at the end Who’s smiling face is always the same She saved the day for us We won’t be coming back Very disappointed indeed."

"on Sunday afternoon at the departure of the chance to get a table, we were accommodated despite the employment of the pubs. nice friendly staff and the pub are cozy and welcoming. Sunday menu was hard to choose as it looked good. had trio roast and duo roasted of bark meat that had a big short rib! the quality and taste of the food was excellent and quite expensive. we didn't have to wait long and our additional requests were quickly handled. I would recommend this pub for eating and drinks without hesitation!"
