"The food was good and there was plenty of options. A couple of the mains were sold out already but we did dine at 2pm so I guess that they were sold out really early. Disappointed that despite having a vegan menu that the only option for milk was semi skimmed. Soya or another alternative should definitely be an option for tea and coffee after the meal"

Food was very poor, Sunday dinner did not have all the trimmings as described on the menu when asked we got told stuffing wrapped in bacon was the same as a pig in blanket? very little choice for vegetarians.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere , friendly , smiley waitress , nothing was too much trouble. food was lovely but prices have gone up . We decided not to have desert as they were very expensive . Overall a great evening spent with friends .

The staff were lovely, not overly there but accessible to sort your requirements. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Standard pub food really. I would recommend this place for an informal meal with friends or family but don’t expect anymore than average pub food

for the first time visit in the trent lock for Sunday dinner and we were not disappointed. eating was good and generous portions for the cost. the service was somewhat slow, but perhaps not surprising given the time of day and possible personal problems. will return in the early year to explore the outside area and the weekday menu.
