"I just want to pay my tributes to Maze Grill and the staff for the excellent experience we had when we visited you for dinner on New Years Eve! Me and my family felt ourself very special already from the entrance, the bar and throughout the whole dinner. Especially our headwaiter (think his name was Karnal? but also his colleagues had much to do but never failed in attention, on the contrary there where not a single second we had to wait or ask for anything. Nice details as when someone constantly have an eye if our glasses needed to be filled up or when our son dropped the fork he had a new one even faster than he could of picked it up himself from the floor. And we noticed that the staff picked up the napkins and folded it and put it back whenever someone went to toilet or so. And it never felt pushy or so, just nice and friendly discreet attention. And what about the food? The garlic shrimps for starter was great as a appetizer and the steak for main course was perfectly executed, as well as the chips and the cole slaw was to die for. Again the attention for detail was great since we had different choices all four of us. The sommelier presented the wines on an Ipad to choose from and we struck gold for choosing a red stellenbosch one. If we have anything to complain about the wine could of been a couple of degrees colder, it was room temperatur I believe. We could of said something but we didn´t since we already got our main courses. When we left Maze Grill for heading out for the fireworks the doorman helped us with a cab…all nice details that makes you feel happy to pay the bill even if its much more than you usually spend on a dinner as an ”average family”. We will certainly visit you again and we will look for other Ramsay restaurants whenever we travel abroad again. Hope you will find a place in Stockholm to start up a new restaurant someday! Spoke with the manager who was rude, unable to deal with accordingly and actually had no experience in handling with issues. One person missed off for drinks and another wrong item arrived on the table when the food did arrive. Lovely food but well over priced and no service to match"

"The place was a bit dark and dreary when the South American name would indicate Latino bright and vibrant atmosphere. Swivel seating was a bit unusual and there was live music but again it was a bit dreary. The wine list was presented to us (a book) and the wines were extensive and very expensive the cheapest being £30. We went for the food experience not a wine tasting which was way over priced. the usual wines we would select were all in the region of £60 to £80 a bottle. It was a bit of a spoiler really. The steaks came on a black plate with chips on the side. We had asked for medium but they were more medium rare and had t been rested properly as there was blood running from it. There was a lot of lumps off at in the steak we have had a lot nicer. The seasonal green veg was garden peas and pea pods and shoots and I selected the sriracha sauce which was more of a green herb and chilli oil with crushed chillies , very greasy and not a sauce. Sauces. To be honest we were just goi g to walk when we saw the wine prices but it was our anniversary. We didn’t have a starter just the main and we really just wanted out. The whole experience was over in 40mins. They did offer a complimentary drink and we asked them to give it to the young couple who sat next to use and didn’t have any wine after viewing the wine list."

"gaucho is very renown for its incomparable Argentine steaks in the offer. to be fair when they are a bark lover, this place cannot disappoint them. the meat especially the ancho cut is absolutely sublime and quite literally melts in her mouth. the sides of gauchos are also very respectable, although veggies had come a bit cold last time, I visited the place. the service is excellent of what I remember and extremely professional. to be fair, you can say they expect this for the price they pay their flesh. that brings me out of my mind to the negative of gaucho. I would say that the decor is too dark and mysterious. I agree that this was nice when gaucho first came, but it has now reached a stage where it should refresh its vision and maybe go easier? second, the meat is good, but also very expensive for normal man. third, Argentine steak eating is terrible for the environmental consciousness and meets me every time I eat there. overall but, great place and luxurious eating. my advice: don't hesitate a second when they're looking for a big steak. gaucho is the place enjoys!"

"Visited with my daughter before the Celine Dion concert on 29th July. First impressions were good but things went downhill fairly quickly. We arrived about 5.30 and were seated upstairs. Despite being fairly quiet staff still seemed a bit flustered. We ordered drinks and received the wrong order, when asking for it to be changed the waitress didn't totally understand the problem but eventually returned with that we ordered. We only had soft drinks but just tasted like cheap juice. The food looked lovely, with a good selection, but sadly not as tasty as it appeared. By 6.15 it was getting quite busy and as you would expect the food that was available soon disappeared. Unfortunately they just couldn't keep up with demand at this point and took ages to replenish food, plates and cutlery. People were waiting to be served with drinks and queuing for food for an unacceptable length of time. A few were complaining but weren't getting much response. An apology goes a long way to appeasing people but it wasn't forthcoming. When they finally started to top up the food it was going quickly again so no doubt it would've ran out again all too soon. We didn't hang around to find out once we saw the dirty, wet dishes that were brought out for desserts. That was a bit off-putting so we gave up and left.Probably nice when they don't have as many people to look after but wouldn't go back to find out!"

"Being immediately after New Year and early in the week, the restaurant was only moderately busy and comfortably accommodated our party of 8. The service was attentive and the food was good, albeit expensive especially when one adds in side dishes [chips, vegetables etc] each circa £4 to accompany the main courses. My main gripe is that the wine list is expensive, with the cheapest wines at £35 and rapidly rising thereafter for wines that aren't particularly special, which in turn bumps up the service charge."

"We went as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children. I must admit the experience was pretty disappointing. The steak was a little over cooked, the chips were soggy (they must have been sitting under the heater for a long time) and the ribeye could have been a lot more tender. Burger was good value, chicken Milanese was over cooked. Service was great and ambience enjoyable. It’s a nice looking restaurant and a seat near the window is recommended, there is always something to look at. Probably won’t rush back."

"First class. Food and service were superb. Truly accomplished and delicious dishes. My friend, who doesn’t really care much for food, declared the honey parfait dessert to be the best thing he’d ever eaten. I had the rhubarb soufflé, the presentation of which is hilariously risqué! The rack of Dover sole was exquisite. Lots of little treats too. The sommelier was really good even though we weren’t splashing out on wine on this occasion. Her dirty dry martinis were excellent. Overall, a five-star experience. Ambience-wise, it was a bit quiet on Saturday lunch; and it is undeniably expensive. No doubt a causal connection between those two minor quibbles. However, we both agreed that it was worth it and have spent comparable sums (or more) elsewhere for far less. The team behind this restaurant are at the top of their game: they appear to love what they do; and pull out the stops to give their guests a wonderful time. The staff were attentive and kind but not intrusive. Consummate professionals."

"We had BT as our server at the Bar and Grill in Mayfair for my girlfriend's birthday, and he was fantastic! The managers were excellent as well. The food was the best I've ever had, especially the wagyu steak, which was cooked to perfection. They even sang happy birthday, gave us complimentary dessert, and brought out a little sticky toffee pudding with a candle, along with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate on the plate. I would definitely recommend this place!"

"This restaurant is overrated, overpriced and overall a below average experience. We visited for brunch, the prawn and crab eggs Benedict was ok but nothing right write home about. The minute steak was too chewy and hard to cut with the steak knife they provided and when we told our waiter he offered another knife!!! They also offered to change it but advised it would all be the same! The blueberry pancake I ordered because obviously I couldn’t eat the steak was quite dense. I wouldn’t eat here again."

"We headed to The Chequers, a charming pub adorned in matching green hues, our anticipation for a delightful Bank Holiday lunch was high. However, regrettably, our experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we eagerly ordered the Italian antipasto as our starter, only to be met with disappointment. The selection appeared aged, lacking vibrancy, and unfortunately tasted stale and inedible. Our main course continued the trend of disappointment. The potatoes seemed to have been cooked days prior, lacking the freshness and flavor one would expect. To add insult to injury, the lamb dish appeared to have been hastily reheated in a microwave, resulting in an unappealing texture and taste. Frustrated by the lackluster quality of the food, we made the decision to send everything back—a disappointing outcome for what should have been a pleasurable dining experience at such a beautiful establishment. In conclusion, while The Chequers may boast a picturesque setting and inviting ambiance, the lack of attention to fresh, quality ingredients and reliance on reheated fare from days prior is a disheartening oversight. It is our hope that the management takes heed of such feedback and endeavors to restore the pub to its former reputation of serving freshly prepared, delicious meals."

"At our table, we noticed that the adjacent table received STK's signature bread right away, while we hadn’t even been offered any. After ordering drinks, we waited about 10 minutes before our waiter came over to ask how everything was. My husband mentioned that we were still waiting for our drinks, which arrived shortly after he asked. We ordered our meals, and my husband chose the calamari starter, which was impressively large. We both opted for steaks. As we were enjoying our conversation, another couple seated nearby received their bread and dip almost immediately. This made me wonder if we had been forgotten, so I asked a staff member if we had missed out on something.... we were indeed overlooked, but thankfully the bread came shortly after. Once our food was finally ready, it was delivered by a different waiter (a runner) to a table next to us and just left there instead of being brought to us. After a while, we managed to get another waiter’s attention to bring our food over. When our meals did arrive, they were quite nice. The asparagus was good, and the truffle fries were delightful—hard to go wrong with deep-fried fries, really. After finishing our meals, we had empty plates in front of us for about 20 minutes. I wanted to order a warm cookie, but at that point, I had lost interest in what was meant to be a special meal, and we just wanted to return to our suite. When we finally asked for the bill, it seemed they were aware we weren't completely satisfied. The bill was £140 after a discount (I had opted out of the optional service fee of £17.50), but we were actually charged £152. I didn't bother to argue about it. For a restaurant that prides itself on its service, we expected much better."

"This place is nice with pleasant surroundings. The staff are welcoming. The food is average and the service is incredibly slow. Regrettably, my experience with the steak sandwich proved to be a big disappointment. The bread was heavily laden with gravy and onion, with a mere morsel of steak, which rendered it into a state of sogginess the structure of the sandwich failed and disintegrated into an unwieldy mess. "We have visited Robatary on many occasions and it’s never provided us with anything other than a great experience. The staff are really friendly and are always on hand to assist you. The menu offers a wide range of both small plates as well as larger main meals. On our most recent visit, we ordered; (small plates) duck pancakes, duck fried gyozas, (large plates) katsu chicken curry and crispy chilli beef. The duck pancakes came with a hoisin dipping sauce and were really flavoursome. With the gyozas, you actually get a choice of whether you want them deep fried or steamed and a choice of two different dipping sauces as well. We opted for deep fried with the miso sauce- I would highly recommend. The main dishes were also really tasty and well presented, the portions are huge as well! The only slight complaint I have is that the egg fried rice that the crispy chilli beef comes with, was a little too goopy on this visit, another minute or so and it would’ve been perfect. Other than that though, I really can’t complain and on top of that, they also have 25% off the whole menu between 5PM-7PM as part of their early bird special! This restaurant is well worth a visit, we will definitely be returning again soon."
