"I ate brunch in avenue restaurant and had a pleasant experience. it was very quiet when I had visited, but many more people came to the end of my meal. I would like to try more from the menu for dinner or even for drinks, as the restaurant is in st james with great location and ambiente as well as large service. for my brunch I tried the eggs benedict, which is one of my favorite, the lobster mac’n’cheese and a caffe latte. I enjoyed them all, and especially the lobster mac’n’cheese, which was a first, the dish was very fresh and hot and the lobster very sweet. at this opportunity the muffin for my eier benedikt was a little heavy, which is why I had to give a 4 rating, but unlike all else was great."

I invited to this beautiful American restaurant. I couldn't resist my turn to have a burger after I jumped through the menu. I asked for one without speck. I liked her window display.

I attended a Canadian food and wine tasting/pairing evening and I was blown away by the delicious food. The starter was smoked salmon. Main was venison and Poutine (chips cheese gravy) OMG this dish was incredible! Dessert was butter tart. The food was amazing and the wine tasting/pairing was brilliant. It was great to sample the exclusive Canadian wines. Great evening! Definitely keeping an eye out for future events.

The other week I was walking back to Waterloo from ROSL, and stumbled across Avenue just down the road opposite The Carlton Club. I'd never noticed it before but it looked pretty trendy and swish, and after a quick Google I realised why; it's a D&D restaurant. One of my favourite restaurants in London is Quaglino's, another D&D restaurant, so I knew it'd be pretty good. I hurriedly texted Claire and we booked a table. View menu

this boozy brunch was only visited by one of the boozy bunches (mich himself) since the rest of the band had visited this place already. I have to say it looks impressive at the coming. all high ceilings and beautiful seating. as his from the st. james street, I had nothing less expected. we had to wait a bit behind a larger group before we were visited, but it was not drag, as I admire the beautiful furniture and already spided on other diners eating.

Brunch here was really nice, you get 2 courses for 23 pounds which is a starter and a main. The orange juice looked so pretty but tasted so strange I didn't even end up drinking it, I opted for the 15 pounds for unlimited prosecco For my starter I got the eggs benedict which was nice but when it arrived the hollandsise Sauce looked a bit hard, it was still nice though but I've had better! For my main I got the pancakes and bacon with maple syrup and it was lovely. It was a great place to eat but I think it's very expensive for what it is.

A stunning venue with stunning food. We ate from the set menu which had far more options on it than you would expect and for £20 for two courses I thought, considering its Mayfair, this was reasonable. I had the sea bass which was cooked to perfection and mango parfait for desert which again was lovely and a work of art. My only bug bare was as we were on a table of 8, we were never asked if we wanted to open another bottle of wine, it was just done for us. By the end of the night we'd drank far more than we ever would have done almost a bottle each. Fine if you're not on a budget, not great for 8 recent graduates. View menu

Our waiter opened with a friendly ‘Hello’, and when we smiled at him, he followed up with ‘Is it me you’re looking for?’ This immediately broke the ice as he started explaining the items on the menu to us. I opted for the pork and pistachio terrine to start, with almond-topped lettuce on the side. I’m always a little hesitant of terrine, as I have had some that taste more of fat than meat, but this one was outstanding, particularly when spread on their European-style bread (coming from Switzerland, which has some of the best bread in the world, I wholeheartedly approved of their baked goods). The almond and lettuce combination was unusual, but very tasty.
