"Biergarten Schloss Blumenthal In 2007, several families bought this property and began to renovate the living room and lead the inn. In the following years all buildings have been renovated, today are located next to the inn including Beer garden a hotel and seminar rooms. In the meantime, there are about 50 people who are partly accommodated in their studios, offices and offices. Since May 2017, the community has been operating a vegetable garden according to the principle of solidarity agriculture, against a monthly contribution, members receive regular fruits, vegetables or other processed products such as honey, cheese, juice etc. I took the opportunity to spend a cozy afternoon in the beer garden. From Munich there are about 60 km, a large parking lot is available for motorists. The castle is quite remote, a ride by public transport is not possible. For this, the place for cyclists seems to be a popular starting point. Despite the great summer weather there were many free places in the beer garden, among the old shaded trees it was very pleasant and absolutely quiet. Food and drink you have to organize yourself, here is self service. I would like more choice for the dishes: I didn't find the salad buffet so inviting, cheese plate, sulfite or cold frying. On the other hand, the fruit was delicious and the bread is probably recommended for its own production. dishes from the inn can only be ordered in the guest rooms and must not be taken too badly outside. Small hint for Workaholics: Here I had no cell phone reception, so it is written rest and relaxation great; Children have enough space to die out in the large courtyard and on the playground. Some lamas are also in the courtyard on a fenced pasture. Absolutely idyllic place, I felt very comfortable here. Unfortunately too far away for me, more often back..."

Great place, the ideal destination with a wonderful atmosphere for our spontaneous little bike tour in the most beautiful weather, how to get out. Huge place in the Schlosshof, a beautiful beer garden, very nice and friendly staff. We also have the Kaiserschmarren quite fast and tasty, the cake anyway. After that we saw the interesting property and the fields of great philosophy behind all. And rightly, as others already mentioned: very relaxed time there, as we had no cell phone reception...

So the beer garden of Blumenthal is really great! With the lamas around it has something exceptionally exotic and the ambience is really great. We have eaten there for our anniversary because we wanted to have a highlight in the restaurant. Well, the food is not bad, but for the relatively expensive dishes now not necessarily the Non Plus Ultra. Nicely dressed and appetizing, but no palate. We had a nice place on the window overlooking the beer garden outside, but we were not yet. Conclusion: something else but not so good to eat that I would forgive more than 3 stars.
