"We visited the restaurant on Monday evening and it was surprisingly quiet and bright in the bar area, so we decided to sit in the lounge. The selection of red wines was fairly limited, and we opted for a Brouilly, which we later found out has been delisted—so we’re glad we chose it while we could! We also shared a cheese plate, and the cheeses were excellent, pairing nicely with the wine. The lounge was very clean and well-maintained. The service at the bar was efficient and friendly, although I did accidentally order a liqueur coffee right after they had finished cleaning the machine—oops! My only criticism is that they seemed a little hurried to close, but given how quiet it was and their reputation for being well-known, I didn't mind at all. Overall, it was a very good experience, and I’m sure I’ll be back!"

I had a fantastic night at Humming on Friday. The food was quite good, and I enjoyed trying their tossed dishes.

Excellent service, and the cod and chips (we tried triple cooked and sweet potato) were a hit! Good size portions.

Always a pleasant, if not outstanding place to go. But great for a quiet pint with my mate. Staff are always polite and courteous.

Celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday with family and friends, we had a most enjoyable time. Friendly efficient service, good quality food. Will definitely return, highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere. Service was pretty good food was nice. There aren't a lot of Gluten free options but the chef managed to rustle up something for my wife who is gluten intolerant. Good sized car park.

Booked a table for 7 of us at less than an hours notice. They were very welcoming the food was actually very good, bit apprehensive as had heard a couple of not so good comments , but not today. The staff were great they were more than willing to supply tea plates, knife candle lighter for the birthday cake. They even gave pur 'birthfay girl ' a small bottle of Prosecco which was a really nice touch. So yes it was a great lunch with plenty of seating good parking. Level acces disabled parking bays disabled toilet .

similar to his sister-restaurant in felixstowe (the alex) has a good menu with helpful staff, but what the black tiles lack in the landscape makes it on parking and spacious seating. with its location close to the a12 it is easily accessible to most and the menu has a lot of aligning to offer to most. it can be a bit busy, but because of the seating arrangement they never feel wounded. in summer time the tables on the terrace and difficult to get, but overall a nice place to relax and enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Situated between a busy thoroughfare between Ipswich and Woodbridge and on the edge of an established housing development, this pub still msmages to retain the feel of a country pub to my mind. The decor in the eating area seemed open spacious and somewhat 'Spartan '. This worked well as there was a small coach party being well attended to when we had lunch and tgee was still enough space to have a quiet meal it had its own holiday charm about it I thought. The service here was genuinely friendly and engaging and the food was very tasty indeed. We enjoyed a great lunch here. Give it a try!
