"we stumbled over this restaurant when we look for another, but were thrilled by the amazing view and the seafood on the menu. we chose a few courses from the set menu (which seemed to be waiting for trouble that we did not want pudding to have...we actually had room, but they looked amazing so that he had a point and they were excellent. beautifully presented foiegras and a small seafood platter (three oysters and four huge prawns) put the scene and our main courses were also beautiful fish couscous with a delicious piece of cod, salmon and garnel and a steak. the waiter has made with us bleu' vs saignant' steak sweat, but my man said it was perfect. a pichet of rose ended the contract. If you notice the taps in a plough, you will be actuated by the knee! one of the best lunches we had in France and this is a big compliment."

that is a wonderfully positioned restaurant at the harbour. the menu is extensive (pizza, seafood, steaks etc) and I would unleash everyone to find no dish they want. the staff was helpful and efficient and with looks wonderful! recommended.

Visit 1: host found us a table (for 9) on a very busy Friday night and with a really friendly approach served absolutely delicious food to everyone. 2nd visit: the next Friday: quiet and we're served 3 unusually tough pieces of fillet with all 9...meals no better than ok. Scores 3 because visit 1 was a definite 5 and visit 2 was a definite 1. View menu

This is a fairly new tapas bar restaurant with not a lot of room, but a lot to offer. We called in on chance and the young chef made a delightful meal for us. The cheese board was disappointing but everything else was marvellous....The decor is something else, the manager, struggles slightly with English but makes upper this with his hospitality.

This restaurant does both crepes (French thin pancakes) and more traditional food. It's fine, the food quality is fine, but it's not particularly outstanding. The staff is very friendly and patient with children ! though unfortunately they don't offer kid-specific menu with crepes,...you need to purchase them from the main menu which is more expensive.

In the small boats harbor we decided to eat a dinner. We where two families and we all found something that we liked. The waiters were kind but had a lot to do. I had shrimps with rice after the oysters and I liked it....The others had chicken with duck liver, fish with butter sauce. Children had pizza and a burger. We liked it a lot. Also dessert and starters held good quality! I can recommend this place. View menu

The restaurant is divided into two parts, a creperie and a more formal restaurant We booked a table in the restaurant for dinner with my children. There is a kids menu, plus lots of choice including seafood, steaks, galettes, pizzas and set menus The adults...all chose different set menus, and we were very impressed with the scallops, steaks and the chocolate fondant dessert The prices were reasonable, probably the most expensive meal we had on holiday, but we were very impressed with the food so worth every penny

We first ate here in 2014 when we were staying in a nearby campsite. That was us hooked! We recommended the restaurant to all our friends and there were 16 of us eating on this occasion. Everyone's meal was brilliant. From 6 year olds right...up to the adults there were plenty of clean plates. The adults all ate off the set menu which was great value for €29 for three courses. The Cafe Gourmand was the best dessert I have ever eaten! We will hopefully see you again next year. Very patient with us all trying to speak French!!

"We visited this restaurant following a review in a Vendee magazine. It was extraordinary. It was raining heavily, with a strong wind. We were seated at a table directly facing the ocean, with waves thundering in onto the rather ominous rocks beneath. A breathtaking sight. Round 1 .. 10 points! The menus .. and there were a number, were reasonably priced, surprisingly so for a Michelin starred restaurant. We chose the middle of the range Euros 65 menu which was very interesting. We were given many little bouchees in between courses which were so delicious. The entree was fois gras, displayed in such an artistic way, it was almost difficult to destroy it by eating it.Round 2 ... 10 points! Little bits in between time, and then a spectacularly tender fillet of veal, with a wonderful reduction and again .. presentation that couldn't be faulted. We would however comment that it would have been very nice to have had some fresh vegetables .. which we often find missing in French establishments. Round 3 ... 10 points. The cheese board was not to the standard of the other courses. It was good, but just good. Round 4 .. 7 points. Desert was an apple based concoction, which I personally did not particularly like, though my husband ate it with relish ... the presentation was again spectacular. Round 5 ... 7 points. We ordered espresso coffee, being somewhat fussy about coffee, and were surprised that it arrived in rather large cups, and was frankly very ordinary indeed. It didn't smell particularly fresh and was not at all what we expected. In fact, I did not drink mine. Round 6 ... 4 pointsThe service was impeccable, though it was nicer when our waiter did eventually smile! The overall experience for this place is incredible. It is a huge restaurant but table spacing allows for privacy, which in an establishment such as this is important. Our congratulations to the chef for a wonderful meal, somewhat spoiled by the final taste of very poor coffee. Not that this would stop us revisiting this beautiful place. The menus are for restaurant of this quality very reasonably priced. Thoroughly recommended!"
