"I remember when this bakery opened their first store somewhere in 2007 2008 (Dr Dou street) and I was hooked from the first visit. Then a new store popped up in Gracia late 2008 it must have been... they had instant success and continue that way.. I find they have excellent sour dough breads, pizzas etc. The prices are higher than the general prices. I know that alot of people like their cinnamon buns but I find the swedes (Sweden) makes them yummier. Each country have their own style.. even though this bakery has some scandinavian influences. I really like their pizzas and many of the other things they have.. but if I get to choose... the bread is what I come for.. I've been told that the name of the bakery comes from that the two people starting/owning it one is catalan from Barcelona and the other is from Reykjavik, Iceland. The service has always been very nice when I've been there. The staff very helpful. The bread/pizza etc has held same high quality every time too. Several breads are my favourites.. and I've tried many of them."

So many salt and sweet breads (also Gluten free), many desserts (also sugar free), pizzas, and many other good surprises to discover, easy to take away or you can also eat in the little museum...

We just nipped in to pick up some take away lunch and bought a couple pieces of mixed-veg pizza. Good amounts of toppings, nice cheese and a sour crust made a nice snack. ~8 euros for a light lunch for 2 wasn't bad.

The shop is old and cute but I didn't like the eating area. Thought it was a little depressing. The food was ok. It's a perfect place to have lunch or breakfast if you're planning to visit the Picasso Museum; it's just a few minutes away

Stumbled across this bakery whilst pottering through the lanes. Organic bakery with selection of breads, pastries, quiches and pizzas along with biscuits, muffins and cakes. Simple, wholesome and a good pit stop before carrying on exploring.

My son is a meat eater but said this is the best pizza he has had and it was a vegeterian. Wonderful artisan breads and baked goods. I had a broiche with cheese and hints of lemon. It was delightful, we plan to stock up the day before we fly home.

Iceland is said to be the only GMO-free place on the planet right now and the bread is exquisite. You can buy a portion of a loaf and not the entire loaf, which is very handy. They will slice it for you. Then your job is to buy some cheese and fruit elsewhere (El Corte Ingles works fine) and that is the best dinner you can assemble. I have a wheat allergy, but this bread did not affect me negatively at all. Oh this is a wonderful place!

Went to the Barcelona Reykjavik for the second time and ionce again it was disappointing. A very overpriced bakery that flaunts its Nordic brand without in any way living up to its name. Low quality baking goods, dry croissants, sloppy pizza, and cinnamon rolls that would make my Danish grandmother sad. If you are in Barcelona, buy regional bread and cakes in the local bakeries and save the organic cinnamon rolls for when you go to Scandinavia.

I go here at least once a week, to the Gracia location that is, to buy great bread- we get a seed covered loaf cut that I keep in the freezer for toast. The bread is sold by weight and you just indicate how much you would like. It is delicious bread nice and heavy and seedy. They have the best pain chocolate that I have found in Spain and my daughter loves the Cinnamon Roll- which has no icing and isn't overly sweet so I am ok with her eating it on occasion. A great bakery.

Local bakery with four branches in the center of Barcelona. Amazing combination of Scandinavian and Catalan influences. Scandinavian: more use of spices and dark, rich, dense flours. Catalan/Spanish: white wheat flours and more nuts, cream, honey, etc. Sober modern décor. Most products are sold by weight. The Christmas bread (with dried fruit and nuts) is absolutely amazing! The ensaimada (the most famous Balearic pastry) usually made with pork lard, is made here with butter instead and it is exquisite! Definitely recommend!
