Blue Lounge Bar Restaurant

I was staying in the hotel and had an evening meal in the Resturant during my stay. The Resturant is small but has a good selection of meals to choose from. The food was nice enough but nothing special.

Not sure anyone would use this bar if you were not resident in the hotel. Excellent nibbles served with the drinks although this could be a bit hit and miss sometimes arriving when drinks were finished.

The worst service-super inattentive and took over an hour to get a bowl of spaghetti. Caprese came with iceberg lettuce rather than basil. Caesar salad came with a weird dressing, not Caesar dressing at all. Overall service was terrible, and the food was not much better.

After doing a quick search of restaurants, we found the Blue Lounge to have one of the highest ratings in the area. With good reason, we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, dinner and wine tasting. The service was first rate. We can't say enough good things about this experience.

Staying in the hotel, we had been out exploring since we arrived c 4pm so decided not to trek out again to find dinner, and thought the menu looked good. The service was variable, and resulted in food less than hot. Tastes weren't great, although the serrano ham starter was excellent, we all had a taste! Based on our previous visist I'd recommend exploring the local restaurants.

We ended eating up here twice during our 5 day stay; the first time just for convenience because we wanted a quick pizza after a long day sight seeing, and the second tine on Easter Sunday when it was impossible to get a table anywhere else but they were able to squeeze us in. Food was high quality and tasty, and fair value, especially with the €15 voucher you get when booking the hotel direct. The service on both days was excellent, in particular the waitress on the second night.

We always had a great experience when we went to Blue Lounge Bar during our stay at the Melia in July because of our server! I unfortunately forget his name but he was deeper tone complexion. He ALWAYS greeted us with the biggest smile and hello every breakfast and dinner we had him! His quality of service is impeccable too.
