very friendly staff, delicious pasta and calf meat, they can sit outside in a quiet courtyard, after or before visiting the concerned fountain.

My wife and I had a fantastic lunch at this small family run establishment following our tour of its caves. The food was wonderful and the glass of vin santo at the end as a delight. The glass viewing of the caves below in the restaurant floor was a highlight. Should we get back to Orvieto we'll definitely eat there again.

booked (has very few tables) for a lunch after making the ring of the cliff on foot. we did not visit the well for question of time but the small restaurant located on the entrance side of the well and in an ancient tuff room, welcomed us with good mushrooms and truffles and local sweets (tarughe and tozzetti) with passito. contained expenditure. recommended for a sitting lunch.

me and my boyfriend last Sunday we were visiting this cave they had recommended. beautiful deserves to visit it also because it is really well maintained and managed by a family. after the visit we decided, after several attempts failed of phone calls to find a place for 2 in a restaurant for lunch, and given the great warmth of this family to finish the visit with lunch in this family shop. great choice since we felt really at home,the food was homemade and good,the nice place well kept,clean and especially cheap. we ate crostini,umbricelli and steak with baked potatoes. Good guys keep going like this!!

My husband and I had a late lunch here on a cold and rainy afternoon in May of 2018 after visiting Il Pozzo della Cava. They have a very nice terrace which we could not take advantage of because of the rain, so we had lunch inside which was also a very pleasant setting. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant at that time but the owner was so very welcoming and courteous. We had a delicious and relaxing meal which consisted of 2 antipasti plates, made up of bruschetta, cheeses and salumi, followed by a shared plate of umbrichelli, accompanied by a local red wine. The prices are very reasonable, and the food and service is excellent.

Although I have visited Orvieto many times and had toured Pozzo Della Cava last Fall, I had never before eaten at La Bottega del Buon Vino. The restaurant offers both outdoor and indoor dining options. The outdoor features a covered area in a very pleasant garden setting. Because of the heat (It gets very hot in Orvieto in mid August), we chose to eat in the charming and intimate indoor room carved from the tufa stone on which Orvieto is situated. This room features a glass window in the floor revealing a passageway extending down many feet below. The owner delighted in showing this to visitors.
